He’s been there almost 20 years, at 20 years his pension kicks in. If he’s let go he gets nothing, if he quits he gets 8 months pay but no pension. Now trying to decide what to do, if he risks it and gets fired it’s the worst of both worlds and they suspect they’ll fire longer term employees first cos it’ll save on the pension.
