One poster on twitter said it was his best performance for us , I feel like I'm watching a different player to most people sadly

Think I'm just completely going to stop offering my opinion on his performances

He's an appalling footballer to be honest. Last night he looked totally out of his depth.

It was a weird performance. He looked knackered and offered no press at all.

But then he held up and laid of the ball better than I've seen him so it before. He's such a clunky, weird footballer.

Still a lot better than Asante for me. He really was lost.

I really want to see the player that tore both Wolves and Man Utd to pieces. He was so good in both those games.
I feel like I'm bashing him because my opinions of his performances are so different ro many people's .. IMHO he's having a very poor season

Honestly watching it back I’m more concerned with what Bobby Thomas was doing miles from anyone playing everyone onside.

I think they're working on an offside trap but none of the backline particularly have the footballing IQ or ability to pull it off.

Several times in the second half we played them onside from long balls when we categorically didn't need to.

He didn't really. A couple of times he held the ball up as any striker of his build probably should. The rest of the time the ball bounced off him like it was made of rubber and he was scrambling to not lose it. Which either led to him losing it, making a pointless pass, or in the case of the first goal more or less a direct assist.

He is. I would actually say he was ok second half, but it was a low bar. Him and BTA both have the touch of a drunk though which is very frustrating. EMC and Wright walk back in mate, we'll change the formation for them if we have to, don't care what anyone says.

He is - he is like the first half of last season - he is not a good enough player to be a 9 in a top 6 contender team

Exactly, but for him that's good 🤣. His touch is horrendous really.

I still just wish Simms would get angry and be a bit like he's possessed, get him training with Bassette and insult him all day. He's a fucking unit but he's so passive.

Yeah, second half he was controlling the ball and laying it off and bringing others into play and making a run which he wasn't in the first half.

It's like he needs to know he has the beating of a defender 4 or 5 times before he tries anything. He could have physically terrorised those defenders last night if he wanted to.

Yeah at the time it sort of looked like miscontrol, he actually kicked it though. Who was it to and why at that height?

He was trying to play it to Torp I think but his trampoline clown feet let him down.

Just to inject some positivity, how good is Dovin at 1 on 1s btw? Makes himself so big and holds his ground until late which makes it difficult for the striker. See Wilson as an example of someone who commits about a minute before the striker hits the ball.

He is who he is at this point. Not sure it’s something you can train into someone - it will undoubtedly hold him back in his career.

Reminds me so much of Bakayoko. Who is currently playing second division in Japan

MOTM was Dovin for me. How Latibeaudiere's blatant foul didn't result in a penalty I'll never know?! He was poor tonight and his lack of pace really showed him up again. Grimes looked class, great passing and vision and an excellent corner taker too, a clear captain on the pitch; shouting at players to get into position after just a week with them was excellent. Still have hopes for a good finish to the season.

Got the ball...

It's stil annoying that we had a decent chunk of money and didn't buy anyone you could see having the quality to progress to being anything approaching a low level Premiership player.
Probably Wright is the nearest but he probably lacks the toughness needed.
MVE you're having a laugh.

Because the reality is that you really need to pay Haji Wright fees at least to get players of that quality

Its pretty simple.

THAT WAS THE BEST TEAM I EVER SEEN US PLAY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP FULL STOP. no idividual brilliance like last year. Just Pace all over the pitch what a team. Take it on the chin these are light years ahead of the leicesters and fulhams that went up.

Leeds will destroy teams at will. Move on.
Exactly, they were a class apart and teams like that will expose and exploit any and all weaknesses.
They could easily have had 5 or 6 goals. Their finishing was their weakest point.

Just watched it back - that’s not what happened. This is where Latibeaudiere stops his run. Dovin could and should have claimed the ball at this point but didn’t. He had a great game in the second half but this was a huge cock-up on his part.

Latibeaudiere should of cleared it, Dovin was probably not expecting it. And why does he run around like he needs a poo

They could also have had 0 if we’d done the basics right.

…and the reality is the same players would immensely struggle to get 30 points in the Premier League.

The difference between the haves and have nots has never been wider.

I was really impressed with the speed that Leeds attacked with last night, although short of a world class save and the crossbar we could of had a point.

I don't disagree that Leeds were a very good side and we do need to move on very quickly, but it's very arguable that without our own individual cock ups we wouldn't of given them a 2-0 win last night.

Poor ball retention and Bobby Thomas is too deep (I appreciate he offered the short pass for Dovin, but sprint out and match the other CBs when it goes long) for the first.

The second seems to be a lapse on Dovin's part, not really sure Lati can be blamed for it, he blocks off Bogle and it should be an easy collection for Dovin - aside from that Dovin made some really good saves to keep us in it.

We didn't have many chances and Leeds were very good, a draw would've been a fantastic result, but it is what it is.

This game just needs to serve as a reminder that the lads have to be on it every game and not drop their levels, because last night is a result of that.

Surprised Thomas is getting stick, I thought bar Dovin and MVE he was our best performer last night. It does look odd in those stills of being behind, but that's not like he's failed to step up, with that gap it must be intentional. He showed a turn of pace too a couple of times to get back in and block last night which I'd not seen before. I agree his distribution can still improve somewhat but defensively him and Kitching look miles better than any other options.

I agree to a certain extent but they’ve drawn 3 times away in the last month
Burnley dont let goals in, =Preston we know how difficult and boring at their place and wouldnt have even tried to commit and win the game which we did tbf, even though we were poor up top. Hull is the outlier I guess, but they were 3-1 up with not long remaining and Meslier chucked one in. In fairness they conceded more than we did and were also outplayed but salvaged something. Arguably if one of those late chances for us goes in we may have forced the same.

You will disagree I'm sure but I feel like you have never been a fan because he replaced and went onto be better than Godden last season.

We could’ve potentially snatched a draw if we didn’t gift them with a 2-0 lead. They only really picked us apart in the second half where we just going for broke to make it 2-1.
I wouldn’t say that’s true. They had a fair few chances first half from slicing us open
