The Daily Mail match report scored Dovin (but spelt Doyin) a 4/10. 😂

Usual quality of reporting and respect for facts from the DM then.

Leeds are undoubtedly a very good side. Ampadu and Rodin are solid players who would be such an asset for us. The speed and conviction that Rodin brings the ball out of defense is a lesson in itself.
However, although they have a lot of quality, we played from the start as we did during the collapse v Portsmouth.
If we adjusted earlier and didn't give schoolboy error goals away, we could have competed. We have played teams before who on paper have much better quality, competed and got results.

Thats the level we need to get to, they’re quality all over the park, if you’d of said we‘ll lose 2-0 before the game you wouldn’t have been too pissed off, just the goals were so soft , I thought we’ve cut those mistakes out, grimes is gonna be quality for us, funny after the game , outside the casino About 11 waiting for a taxi freezing out tits off and kitch comes strolling past in shorts, t shirt and sandals😂bring on QPR

Neither us, or anyone else in the mid table mob, is getting to anywhere near that level without a huge cash injection.

Schooled tonight by a v good championship side. Quick, skill full and aggressive. I had to check in the first half they only had 11 on the pitch as they always appeared to have at least one extra man. We gifted them both goals and they could/should have scored 3 or 4 more. They showed the gulf in class between an auto chasing team and one that aspires to sneak into the playoffs. Lampard will have learned a lot from tonight, and so too should we fans (and Doug), about what we need to make a realistic push for promotion next season.

Weird end to your post. Unless what we're supposed to "learn" is that we need a huge transfer kitty, parachute payments, and the ability to pay silly wages.

On another subject, anyone know why the smoking area was closed? Loads of annoyed fellas standing smoking next to the closed gates at Half Time

Glad we haven't got to play them again, should just promote them already, they're that quick the linesman couldn't even keep up. Even Meslier made a worldie save, just wasn't too be.

It's not the back 5 per se, it's what the players are doing. I'd argue that the back 5 made us worse last night as too often the middle of the 3 was too deep and played Leeds onside.
Like all good sides they made the extra space , always looked like they had the extra player on the pitch. Also made me realise we need more pace in the side. The way they broke stretched us every time especially couple of the balls over the top and had us chasing running back to goal. You can't defend against pace and we had a glimpse of that with Vik.

You can if you actually track your man and don’t stick rigidly to your position at all times cos you’re shit scared of being played around.

Unclear if this is fun or headloss behaviour (also, Dovin's mistake looks even worse from this angle)

nah, he was just reminding them that after they spent all that time rewriting that oasis song they went and lost to his Derby team

their fans were actually pretty shite considering how good a team they were

I don't like to give Farke credit because I don't like the prick but he's done a good job, albeit with a massive budget.
They’ve got stacks of them to get them a decent team together.

Have you considered Leeds are actually quite good?

I mean yes they have been crap but it's not terminal. We won't play against this quality every week

It's not just last night though is it?

We're consistently poor at defending, wrong side of attacker, flat footed, just stop and put arm up in the air for an offside praying the officials agree...

The only reason we've gone on a clean sheet spree is down to Dovin pulling off some game changing saves, however we also played poor sides at times.

I think one decent CB will help the lot of them to improve though, so all isn't lost. I think they just generally shite themselves against anyone half decent.

1 goal conceded in 4 games previous to last night. Can't really remember any of those where were conceded many chances.

I'm not pretending we can't improve and would love more options but we are not nearly as bad as some on here make out

Said it well before their Cardiff match who ever agreed to play this fixture when Leeds were in brilliant form and we had our three best players out was daft.
I'm not convinced we had to play the game and we had no option? Never happened before to my knowledge.
This game may impact on performances against Ipswich and QPR and have a major say in our season with tired players.
