If he started training with us three or four weeks ago then I wouldn’t expect him to be fit enough for us to consider signing him until now at the earliest. And I wouldn’t expect him to contribute meaningful minutes for another couple of weeks on top of that.

I imagine he’ll be signing very soon, after spending a few weeks getting up to speed.

Decent level of experience and an option off the bench, at the least. 6 month deal with an option to extend in the summer, can’t argue with it if he helps us out.

I know I said previously he isn’t what we need, but I’ll happily retract that.

Dawkins Podcast has just tweeted that he’s signed a short term contract

Who would sign Dawkins Podcast? Plenty of free high quality podcasting talent hanging about with low wage expectations.

Does he allow us to play 433 while still getting EMC up to speed?

Thinking more in Rudonis role then Rudoni wide left.

Torp Grimes
Saka Pato Rudoni
Simms

sort of thing.

Surely emc has more match fitness than somebody who hasn't played for months?

I get players can be physically fit but he hasn't even played for the u21s has he?

Yeah it’s a bit of a weird signing. Though I expect if he’s been training with us he’s been getting up to speed. But once EMC and Wright are back I don’t see where he fits in other than giving others a rest.

He isn’t a winger, he’ll compete in the middle with torp/allen

He will give us an option on the bench but I'm not sure how he's going to get his match fitness. I'm not sure why he hasn't had a few games in the u21s (I know it's not the same standard).

Gives us cover/depth, apparently is good around the place and presumably has been training well, so they'll know whether this was worth doing or not. He was still a very decent Championship player this time last season, if he's anywhere near that, for the sake of the cost of a short contract its a no brainer and i don't see why anyone would have an issue with it.

No-one asked but I know there's a common rhetoric of "he always scores against us". 371 mins played against us, 3 goals and an assist in that time.
