Seems to me that he's trying to do far too much, too soon.
I think in his mind he promised from day 1, so he's trying to do everything he said he would do in one fell swoop.
Could get very messy.
I think in the last 24 hours alone we've had:
- Cessation of aid to Ukraine
- Plans to lift sanctions on Russia
- Tariffs on Canada and Mexico
- Appointing someone from the world of wrestling as Education Secretary
I've probably missed some stuff too.

What compromises does Russia have to make then? Seems it starts a war, kills loads of people, destroys towns and cities then is treated like the victim.

Possibly by not violating the neutral zone in the first place, and not building bio labs in Ukraine. And not continuing the expansion of nato into Ukraine in violation of the 1994 weapons treaty. And not seeking to disrupt Russian shipping's access to shipping lanes that they need for trade.
All of this was mentioned by Putin before the conflict started, Biden was given ample warning what would happen if he ignored international agreements. Funny how western news failed to report this.
Now I'm no supporter of Putin, who is a dictator who sanctions murder on UK soil.
Bit if you poke the bear often enough, your going to get bitten.
Now the US has had a regime change, common sence is returning to the white house (strange to use that term when referring to Trump who's as mad as a box of frogs) so hopefully the killing will soon stop, and peace can return to the region,
probably under the pre-existing terms with Ukraine not joining the EU or Nato and Russia keeping hold of the areas they currently hold. While America opens mineral mines and gets contracts to rebuild the bombed cities, and getting rid of Zelensky and putting a new pro US government in office.
In the end the only real winner will be the US. With the land Russia holds being of little value other than securing access to the shipping lanes.
And to think, a lot of people died for that!
