Agree EMC doesn't look fully either, but think we wont see HW start game until after international break imo.

And really dont want the USA calling him up either for this break.

I get what your saying regarding Wright, but if he goes away with the USA team and plays some minutes, it might shake off a bit of the ring rust he is suffering at the moment. Could be a blessing in disguise.

Take your point.

However given FL and team haven't really worked with him, rather him spend good 7 days on training pitch with them. Travelling never good for fatigue (and we play on the Friday v SU)

But he could also get injured out there and set back his Cov return again, I'd rather he was here with FL and the team

My guess

Dovin

Milan Thomas Kitching Bidwell

Grimes Sheaf

Sakamoto Allen EMC

Simms

Bench - Collins, Binks, DaSilva, Latibeaudiere,Eccles, Torp, Wright, Thomas-Asante, Bassette,
That's not the tallest midfield but looking at Stoke's squad their midfielders are not especially tall either.

Best tell Frank then as he has bought him on for the last 2 games and Bassette is nowhere to be seen
Well he needs match time to shake all of that rust off. That’s not an argument to include Bassette in his place, but it is a consequence of signing a player who hasn’t played at a decent standard for quite a while.

Would be surprised if Torp was picked to start with just over a week's training under his belt. Allen to play 60 with Torp to play the last 30, with the view to swapping that around at Derby ?

He was injured for less than two weeks! What do you think he got up to that he can’t play for more than half an hour now?

Also aside from any fitness issues why would we have 3 strikers on the bench. Paterson offers cover in a different position, especially without Rudoni

I’d go:

Dovin
MvE Thomas Kitching Bidwell
Sheaf Grimes
Saka Torp EMC
Simms

S: Collins, Dasilva, Lats, Binks, Eccles, Allen, Paterson, Wright, BTA

I’d be tempted to try Saka or EMC in midfield just to see if I can sneak Wright on at the same time, or go 442. Hopefully Wright gets another half hour or so.

One thing is for sure, Lampard will not be playing 442

I'm always optimistic. And agree with some others that Mr. Robins might just try park a bus and hit on counter. Our defense has looked stronger later, especially with Dovin. I'd be tempted to wonder if Mr. Lampard experiment with a surprise tactic, formation, or shift around a player or 2 just to unsettle Mr. Robins.
I've checked with my crystall ball which reveals a scruffy and dogged game with a result of 1-0. BTA to score, surpisingly.

Does your crystal ball have us down as Wembley winners in May?

With a game on Tuesday I reckon Sheaf gets another appearance off the bench and then starts on Tuesday.

But who knows, we've got so many options now it's difficult to predict (for us and for the opposition!)
