Limbs? What does that mean?

Limbs aots

Used to describe football fans going absolutely mental when their team has scored, much more than a normal celebration, mainly describing the 'limbs' (body parts) 'all over the shop' (aots), the action. Such as fans piling on to the pitch, storming the home fans, arms everywhere, people jumping all over the place.

Excellent reading back through the thread this morning.

Celebrations for the Thomas goal are probably up there in my top 10.

Did it a little differently yesterday and had a box with a few school mates, half of whom aren’t Cov fans. But every single one of them was going as mental as me when he scored.

Franks celebrations with Thomas after were epic too, pure emotion and passion. As was the reaction of the whole team.

I’ll say it again; this is very reminiscent of the play off season….

Lampard very nearly got schooled by Robins. Hopefully it’s a lesson learnt for him. Derby is a huge game now

We should’ve been at least 3-0 up going into the half…

The first half performance was far more dominant than their 2nd half performance. Stoke weren’t great at all and you can see why they’ve been so poor lately.

Even Robins admitted their 1st goal ‘came from nothing’ and their second goal was a clear offside. The match officials let us down yesterday.

The XG stats suggest otherwise I’m afraid

Would prefer Eccles there if I’m honest, Sheaf back in CM

I agree. I don’t ever recall Eccles letting us down when he has played RB or RWB. IMHO he is a much better option in those positions than Lati.

Unlike some I don’t dislike Lati but he is better at CB and his versatility is a bonus, although probably less needed now we have more strength in depth.

We started slow and Stoke had the better of the first 13 minutes but then we completely controlled the half.

Second half, it was even until they got back into it where they could’ve won it to be fair. We did also come close where Lati broke forward and botched a cross to Haji which would’ve generated a great chance.

On the balance of things, we deserved the win and this idea that Robins outthought Lampard is ridiculous. It was the story of our season under Robins that we needed to dig deep to get comeback wins/draws.

God, it's just so great being a Coventry fan right now. Yesterday was everything I love about being a season ticket holder and football fan; beautiful weather, a bumper crowd in a great mood, team generally playing well, two great smash-and-grab goals, and the 97th minute winner that blew the walls off the CBS being puncuated by 29,000 Cov fans singing "it's all gone quiet over there" in revenge for the Stoke fans doing the same after the equaliser.

There's still some deeply sloppy defending that needs to be sorted out, but honestly I'm not dwelling on it too much.

Well, yesterday was just brilliant and just why we all love football. Give me this over corporate Premier League prawn sandwiches and overseas day trippers every day of the week.
Hats off to everyone after the weeks build up of clap Robins, don’t clap Robins, do it before, no do it after, don’t do anything et al.
Everyone was on board with supporting the team and Lampard for 97 minutes and applauding after etc, but there was also quite rightly a rendition of “One Mark Robins” as he was leaving the pitch which he acknowledged.
He nearly had the last laugh but sorry Mark you can’t have a point as we need all 3. Now be on your way 😀
