Depemds if anyone wants Sheaf or Vik and what he wants to spend. Need to pay back the £4m for Grimes according to Saddle as well.
Don't think we'll have any trouble raising the funds tbh

I think Haji might get some mls interest and they seem to be able to pay a few quid now.

people are saying Dunne was he the QPR no 5 that played right back? He is so slow it was like watching Dom Hyam with lead in his boots.

Haji is n odd one for me, nagging feeling is that he'll agitate for a pre-world cup move but then there is an argument to say he'll want to be somewhere settled to give himself the best shot especially off a long injury.

If that's the case we could get a bumper fee post world cup if there is a big surge in interest in 'soccer' in the states, as you said MLS are paying big money already, could see them wanting to have homegrown stars as marquee signings.

Factor in USL adding a rival league top level league as well with proper promotion and relegation.

Afonso Sousa, someone I've mentioned earlier in the season, blows hot and cold but would be relatively cheap as he's contracted to summer 2026.

I hadn't thought of this but it's a valid point. Would imagine Haji wants to make a big push for the World Cup squad and he probably won't get the visibility for that in the Champ.

Atlanta spent big on Latte Lah in Jan and if he hits the ground running you can imagine MLS teams will start circling.

So apparently there’s an option on Sheafs contract which takes him to 2027.
Yes just read this also, interesting.

Wonder its naturally reached the end for both parties however? Id love fully fit and committed sheaf to stay for the record.

Where did you see this? Puts us in a strong position if it is time for him to move on.

He knows him, which is why he is usually found pushing pro-Sheaf propaganda!

Could say The same about sheaf, don’t think he’ll have as much interest as everyone or he thinks

To date you are absolutely correct. If someone can get him cut-price I think he may well move on, but if the clubs aren't as good as he thinks he is worth again, then I wouldn't be so surprised to see (if true), that contract extension being triggered and him staying put.

I don’t think there are any MLS teams beyond ATL who would be prepared or able to pay the fee we would want for Haji.

I was impressed with Wouter Burger for them again on Saturday, wouldn’t mind him at a cut price if they go down.
I'd take him as a squad option even if we went up i think. I think you need to be smarter than 'buy the best players in the Championship' to stand a chance of staying up, but i really like him. Also wants out it seems, almost left in Jan.

If that back heeled effort had gone in it’s probably goal of the season

Initial understanding of the summer (provided we remain in this league) is that the left back has been identified and in initial talks already

Collins will go, as will Burroughs, Howley, Tavares

How many of our assets go depends on Viktor. If he moves early in the window, expect only Sheaf to go

If he doesn't, one of Milan or Haji will go to free up the funds

Looking for around 6/7 for Sheaf. Add that to Viks sell on (6 million if he goes for the release clause) that's a decent kitty to get in a LB, CB, RB understudy and Sheaf replacement

That's a lot of money for Sheaf though. Not ready to drop into a Prem side and a lot of money for a Championship side.

All depends on how much churn Frank feels we need, he's getting a tune out of the squad at the minute so may feel it's just depth we need.

Personally I'd say:

Outs:

Milan (£10m), Sheaf (£7m), Eccles (£5m), JDS(£.5m), Collins (£.5m), Lati or Binks (£1m), Rafa (Loan), Bassette (Loan)

Ins:

2xRB, 1xLB, 1xCB, 1xCM and 1xRW

Should be looking for starters at RB, LB and LW. CB should be experience but probably be rotation with Thomas and Kitch, Darling would be ideal. RB and CM should be young squad player who are progression planning.

That brings in £24m and we can expect another £6m for Vik so should be plenty going around for us to make upgrades.

With the left over budget we should be looking to make signings like Bassette who we can add value to over the next couple of years and future plan.

Pure fantasy, you ain't getting 5m each for Eccles, Collins and JDS. 😂. I don't think you'll get 7m for Sheaf given his injury record.

Plus I don't think Eccles will be sold.

I'm starting to think we may look at another CF in the summer too, and I'm fairly certain given the 433 seems to be Franks favourite system that we'll look for a right forward too.
I'd be surprised if we could afford to spend, at least decent money on 6 players, so we may have to be smarter in the free market for at least a couple of them.
