There was a turf war between the Godden and Walker camps.

Godden had his undesirable moments, but was unquestionably the better choice. Those in the other camp wouldn't, and still look like they won't, accept any criticism. Given now he's effectively playing non-league, it's quite funny seeing just how far some will go.
100% agree. Strange how some people just refuse to see the obvious.
No doubt sickboy will have him down as world class 🤣. Injuries aside, when he did play he wasnt up to championship level, he's a lower league striker, as his record would show.
He's still only 28 which suprised me, but he's had terrible luck with injury problems.

No of course not but he’s only played a handful of games since going back there because he’s been injured most of the time.
It appears I owe you an apology, it was the Portsmouth fans forum that slated him for being lazy, not Lincoln fans. I got the forums mixed up for a minute there.

I don't think I've ever said he's world class. He played an important role in us staying up that first season but we progressed faster than expected. If he manages to stay injury free he'll have a career in LG 1 or 2 but I wouldn't be surprised if injuries lead to him retiring within the next year.

Godden was better than Walker but that doesnt warrant the slating of Walker, and some of the views either side are OTT he had potential to be a Championship forward didnt fulfill it and thanks to injuries and lack of confidence he’s dropped well below his ability level

Surely he's only gone on loan there because it's the only place he can go outside of the transfer window and he wants to play games. I imagine he'll sign for a L1 or L2 club in the summer.

Gyokores scores a penalty on sporting's win

Be good if they can stay top and win the league. Think it helps with gyok price of he can say he helped them win the title back to back

That’s exactly my point - there’s only so much any professional player can trade off their dad’s name. If it was all about nepotism he’d get to play way above his ability level. Instead he was just a useless player with a shocking career as you said.
Ironically Frank Lampard Sr was a top division club legend and played occasionally for England. For our Frank to eclipse that is a rare thing.

3 goals in 12 games for Forest in the Champ
22 goals in 44 games for Mansfield in L2
14 goals in 29 games for Lincoln in L1
7 goals in 31 games for us in the Champ

(all season in a row from when he was 20-24)

That is a promising player, he knew where the back of the net was and had great movement and a lot of attributes like the frame, little bit of speed, strength.
He struck me as the type of player that needed to play off of a target man. The find-space-and-finish type of Garry Bannister player.

Also, if there was ever a player that would have benefitted from competitive reserve fixtures to get some kind of match sharpness……

Some goals and assists from ex players yesterday.

Godden scored two for promotion chasing Charlton.
Bayliss scored straight from a corner for Lincoln.
Ex Loanie from way back Dan Agyui assisted for Orient.
Academy grads Callum Maycock and Courtney Baker-Richardson scored for Wimbledon and Newport County.
