Not much to add that hasn’t been said; we were incredible today. Best we’ve played for a long time.

We were on it from the first moment and relentless after that. Other than one that Isidor hit miles wide (and was possibly offside for) I don’t remember being worried.

Everyone played well, but Allen was another level, he was everywhere and it allowed others to play. It’s not a coincidence Torp was so good.

Like everyone I was doubtful of Wright playing 9 after Derby but he more than proved us all wrong!

I actually think their CBs trying to wind him up, completely went the opposite way to how they planned as it motivated him even more,

If we get them in the playoffs, we’ll have the mental advantage. And their CB’s will be absolutely shit scared of Wright before we’ve even kicked off.
Elite tactician indeed

Can't see him being anywhere near the level required to be honest, and have doubts that he will be for the rest of the season.

Shows bouncebackability
Wins 2/3 without rudoni
Shows that little overall difference between jds and bidwell
Dropped Simms because he doesn't put in enough effort
Rightly decided wright can do a job down middle
Signed Patterson who if he plays he wins everytime
Shut up the idiots who said we play poor football and they "could see a loss coming" 🤣
Super Frank Lampard!

He might be an elite tactician but whoever designed his scarf isn't an elite speller

Just back from the game and that was sensational. Lampard has got them playing well and he must feel like he’s got a brand new £20m striker up front. The work rate from Allen, Grimes, Torp, MVE and Sakamoto was amazing. Even when we lost the ball you just knew we’d win it right back. Allen must have massive pockets, to fit Jobe Bellingham in there.

Oh and a shout out to Lee who did the goal challenge at half time. When even your fans are banging them in from the half way line, you just know it’s gonna be your day.

I didn't go today but watched on ifollow. What a match. It's all been said already but I have to agree that I can't remember such a complete performance for a long time. Every player was brilliant. Obviously Allen and Haji were the pick but Torp and Sakamoto not far behind and Grimes and Dasilva deserve mentions too.

It's strange to see such a contrast to Tuesday; it makes me think that I don't really understand football and maybe that's why it's such a wonderful sport that we're all so obsessed with. To pull a performance like that after the dross of Tuesday is so pleasing.

Nice timing with the break as well, we can look at table and enjoy us in 5th for 2 weeks now.

If we don't make playoffs or don't go up, it will still have been such a memorable season.

PUSB!!!

What a game and what a performance. An epic atmosphere too. Don’t think I stopped singing and the place was really bouncing at times. It must have driven the players on. Well played my Sky blues, well played 🩵

Agree, the Sky Blue Army were awesome today made the heirs on the back of my neck stand up.
That Mason- Clark song being sung by the whole ground, love it.

Proud and loud. 💙

Being gifted city status by the Royal Family. The likes of Sunderland, Wolverhampton and Southend will never and should never be cities.

Too late

Southend-on-Sea was granted city status on March 1, 2022, in a tribute to the late Sir David Amess MP, who championed the campaign for city status.
