I don't remember Dennis Wise Beating up women...as in King's case.
I also don't remember Dennis Wise being a Rascist either. The two fights he had, any rulings against him were quashed.
Have you never had a fight before Torchy?:jerkit:

Well, it's refreshing that you admit to having double standards and a sliding scale of forgiveness when it comes to thuggery. :claping hands:

Me? Nah, never had a fight. I did wrestle an action man once. And crushed a grape, but have never jumped off a doll's house. What about you?

MMM...I was really questioning the poster's naivety in believing that IF there was money available it would be invested in the team.

Why do you assume they wouldn't? And it is not rent reduction so much as new income streams that would allow further investment. For the club to become profitable there needs to be success. Success requires investment. Only if they have access to revenue streams will they be able to make decisions on whether to invest further money into the club and/or find a buyer.

This is where I don't get it ,why not invest to stay where we we're ,there is less control on the amount you can invest in the league above if you are of the mind, the limit of where we are conveniently suits the chosen model IMO .I don't believe what happened last season was the result of a bumbling naive baffoon in the boardroom but the action of a chosen hatchet man followed by sanguin Tim ,this happens in Industry regularly.

He was found guilty and the actual sentence was overturned on appeal. He attacked a 65 year old and police had to pull him of his victim. So it's ok to beat up a pensioner is it!

MMM some good posts there fella. The Sisu apologists will never focus or respond solely on Sisu's record, because it's indefensible [so dont expect any response on your points any time soon]- its always a diversion onto someone or something else.

As you say it's been 5 years under their stewardship, we are in Div 3, gates halved, still in a financial shambles with no evidence of a viable or competent plan.

The comparisons I made between Wise and Bowyer, were purely football reasons. I'm nearly 60, but anyone who throws a punch at me, better be able to take a f**ker back.
Bowyer's case was stated as "How it wasn't presented as a racial attack..no one knows"

In 2005, the player agreed a £170,000 out-of-court settlement of a civil action for damages brought by the victim and his brother, who had been less seriously hurt in the assault.[21]

If he was innocent, why pay £170k out of court settlement?

There is every evidence of a plan. Gates are close to pre Ricoh days. I bet you'd hate it if we got to Wembley and got promoted wouldn't you?

For fucks sake there are no SISU apologists. Just people who do not think everything they do is evil. They are not out to get us for fucks sake.

Are you sure you're not 90? You make no sense. So of wise's victim was black that would be wrong bit if not he is fair game?

Would you have felt better that King's victims were male? Would that make your point of view more acceptable?
What Wise did was wrong, I can accept that. Can you accept what King did was wrong?.....I very much doubt it!:jerkit:

You're deranged. I never wanted king at the club and never applauded when he scored. I couldn't stand him.

It's already been confirmed that I'm a SISU rent boy, I'm yet to find out what that actually entails, but it sounds interesting.

Very selective, aren't you? If comparisons were on purely football reasons then there would be no reason to mention their off pitch indiscretions.

In my humble opinion, all I want is success for my football club, Coventry City FC. I'm not privy to any discussions regarding the management and day to day operation and can only guess at what is happening from information provided in the media and the thoughts of others on forums such as this.

Piecing everything together, a hedge fund and football club do not seem ideal partners. Add into the mix the involvement of the local council, a charity, a separate company that manage the stadium of which we are tenants and you have a very complicated picture. One certainly far removed from the Club I started supporting as a lad back in the mid 1960's, a Club led by a local businessman who was a long-term fan and was prepared to invest his money in building a dream.

I know times have changed dramatically, but for what it's worth, I detest SISU with a passion. Everything they represent, their morals - or apparent lack of them - and the effect they have had on our Club since they arrived in town. And let's not forget the succession of individuals who preceded them, all taking their pound of flesh out of CCFC - Richardson, McGinnity and Robinson.

The latter lauded SISU's arrival in 2007, there was no-one else we were told with only 30 minutes from administration. We all rejoiced at the time, but sadly the reality of the last 5 years has not come close to matching our aspirations back then.

And like it or not, there don't appear to be any white knights on the horizon. We are stuck with SISU for the time being. And for that reason we should at least understand what they are trying to do for CCFC. We may not agree with their methods and business ethics, but the alternative does not bear thinking about.

If its to do with previous comments about ACL eating from CCFC trough, I thought it was pretty well documented what we pay them and how little CCFC get in return.

How much do ACL personally pocket from having their noses in the trough

I'd estimate you have an IQ below 60 and I'm pretty certain that's a fact.

Well they must have taken £8 million and we are only 17% of turnover......

True, dear chap. My chronology wasn't exhaustive, but I tried to concentrate on the interface between SISU and the rental agreement, us the fans/shareholders and the ongoing live car crash the financial situation remains

No way in hell do they see the fans as shareholders, just piggy banks they keep dipping into and promising to get us a good toy with it but in stead they then sell our good toys too.

If true better business men than sisu .........come on in ACL:D

So is that Covlad who took over at Port Vale £1.25M. for a club with its own ground ,a decent manager and a fair chance of being in our division next season.:eek:;)
