If only we could sign an emergency goalkeeper! Someone with previous play off experience, maybe someone who has won the golden glove before. Shame.
I don't get it. We had weeks of everyone but the management team being able to see he was a problem and then Dovin thankfully came in.

The argument for Collins was supposedly that he was under contract and would be here next season where Wilson would be gone but that's not the case now as they've given Wilson a new contract.

I don't care how much better with his feet Collins is if he can't make a fucking save. At this point you feel he needs to be out the side for the sake of his own mental health.

Judging a goalkeeper by how good he is with his feet isn’t just an us problem, it’s a football problem. More interested at academy level getting them to play hospital passes into the centre mid with his back to goal, than actually teaching them to be brave and stop the fucking ball going in the net.

It’s just the same things being rehashed on new threads. Dovin is injured and Wilson is either not fit enough or good enough to be behind Collins in the pecking order.

There’s nothing we can do about the situation until we can sign a keeper in the summer.

I’m more interested in how tactically we’ve not dealt with the bottom teams in this league rather than scapegoating particular players.
I would argue Collins played a big part in our loss today, should definitely not have conceded 3 and that’s what killed us.

I remember seeing him in the warm-up against West Brom. He dropped a clanger, and Williams had to come over and gee him up...twice. I was worried about him, but fortunately West Brom didn't lay a glove on us. Today, he had to face a few shots and I thought was terrible.

It's clear he is just mentally destroyed, and it's costing us goals and points. I am not solely blaming Collins, but having a situation where your defence let's in a shot and it's pretty much a goal is not a good situation to be in, obviously.

I don't think he has any confidence in himself and the players will certainly be worried that everything that is on target seems to go in. Its not the 1st time we are talking about Collins and if he plays again will not be the last.

If i was FL id take him out the firing line for his own sake. Wilson needs to have a good week at Ryton and be ready for Luton. Unfortunately for Collins he has had plenty of opportunities and is not improved or shown enough to suggest he is a championship GK.

Sometimes your team doesn’t turn up, today was a good example. That said, there’s times when your keeper can keep you in the game, think of Pandor for Hull against us! Could have been 4-0 before half time. We simply don’t have that with Collins, confidence is gone and I’m convinced something is going on behind the scenes with Wilson. If anyone has played to a good level, take note of the way our defenders will now square up to players vs pushing them to a ‘non-scoring position’, the defence don’t have trust and aren’t willing to take that risk and it makes you massively on the back foot! Dilemma is Lamps won’t want to change keeper as it will change the dynamic of the whole team as we go into some of the more crucial games of the season. As a fan it’s tough to watch the lack of confidence, I watched Dovin in goal and shots heading top corner id wait to hit the net as he sometimes got them, with Brad you get that guy wrenching feeling as someone goes to take a shot! I really hate criticism on single players but it’s a case of make or break for the season. Is there discussion on our youth team even, who can step up?

If Collins stays in

he wil
To be clear, I don’t hate Brad or even blame him particularly, to me it’s clear he has lost his way at this club and needs to move on for the benefit of both of us.
If Collins stays in the team he will continue to make mistakes. He makes routine saves sometimes but never a great save and plenty of mistakes. He makes Scott Shearer look good.

It’s arguably the biggest call of Lampard’s time here so far - if Wilson comes in and unsettles the back four in our biggest games of the season then we’re fucked. As fans we can comfortably say that anyone else in goal would offer more confidence, but do the players agree?

Saka and mve were far worse and Allen and Bidwell
The one piece of play that actually cost us was Allen not going down and staying down

If the fans got to vote on who they want to start mate, I can almost guarantee Allen and Bidwell would receive at the very very least a vote each.

Brad Collins wouldn't even get that.

The point is mate, Brad Collins has no place in the squad let alone the starting lineup.

Collins unsettles our players most games.
I’d say the defence seems to trust him, he just can’t save shots.

Will our back four play the same passes to Wilson they would play to Collins? If not, how does that impact us? Is it more or less harmful than the risk of another Collins boo-boo?

As well as changing tactics to accommodate him, there’s also the small issue that Wilson hasn’t played competitive football in a long time and has improved a hell of a lot by not playing.

He’s gonna save two pens at Wembley and take us up.

Wilson is crap and I've never understood anyones fascination with the guy. I also expect he'd come in armed with his own laughable errors as he often does... but all that said, you simply can't keep Collins in after that. Put Wilson in and hope for the best, it's almost all over.

At this point I’d be surprised if Collins is dropped. Fuck knows why we gave Wilson a new deal.

Hoped the last two games would have given Collins some much needed confidence, but if it did, it will be absolutely shot again now.

He cannot play next game for his own sake. He will know he was poor, he’ll know his team mates are thinking it, he’ll know the fans are and he’ll likely feel the opposition will know it too.

Doesn’t take a psychologist to know that doesn’t bode well for how he’ll perform next game.

Wilson isn’t a great keeper, and it will change the way we attack slightly, and he hasn’t played a game for months, but we’ve seen him actually have decent games for us - we’ve never seen that from Collins.

Leeds had the balls to drop their keeper, you could see he was going to cost them, why don’t we, i think even if you played Luke Bell in goal according to Lampard ( a great shot stopper ) we’d be no worse off, wilson must still be not 100 %, or else there’s no way Collins would still be playing,
