The 2023 team was being carried by not just one but two cheat codes, and didn’t have Ronald McDonald in goal.

Which is why I had more confidence and was so disappointed when we fell short. This season I really can't visualise it hence being relaxed

Too many injuries at the wrong time this season

Derby 3 points dropped
Hull 2 points dropped
Plymouth 3 points dropped

He reason we are struggling to get over the line is not because of injuries , but because we cant play away against shit teams

No excuses
We've done well to get where we are now, it's a great effort despite some iffy results along the way.

Boro:

Lost away to pompey
Drew away to Plymouth
Lost away to Derby
Picked up 1 point against Wednesday all season
Drew at home to crdiff
Drew say at luton

We're not spectacularly bad against the lower teams this year, it's just a funny season where a lot of the shit teams in the league actually have decent home form and have fucked it away.

Bristol have gained 3 points against those teams away, won none and also got thumped by Luton

Ironically go ask boro fans what they think of Carrick tactically .. lad at my work says hes no plan B at all

Not saying it isnt but there's no excuses now we made 6th place with about 12 games to go and we are going to fuck it up by dropping so many points against shit teams
We might fuck it up, we might not. I actually fancy us to beat Boro final day and squeak in. I can't believe for a second that there's a single person on here that wouldn't have taken that scenario.

Hence why we are sat neck and neck probably , why does their form mean we shouldn't be doing better , we've got a better squad than Bristol

Weve done what we've done this season for 2 of the last 3 years pretty much

This is how we roll 😎

Weve also picked up 10 points from our last 8 games which isnt ideal at this stage

Let's not forget that Lampard's win percentage with us is still over 50%. He's done an excellent job since coming in.
People were getting fed up with our home form, really fed up. He's sorted that out big time and i would imagine season ticket sales will go up again next season.

Lads I think you all need to relax , nobody is saying sack frank ffs .

He isnt beyond questioning and our form is currently not great .. lose against Luton we will have lost 5 of the last 9 games
Of course he's not beyond questioning but we've also had injuries to key players during that period and we've done very well to climb the table. Personally, I think we've got little chance of going up and if Grimes is the calibre of players we're bringing in, i'm excited for next season already but would fully expect play-offs at least at this point.

I wouldn’t know if we have a better squad.

Most teams are bunched up and there are all sorts of anomalies.

Sheffield Wednesday have the fifth best away record in the league and would be in the top 6 with a half decent away record.

Even Sheffield United lost to Plymouth and Oxford away and couldn’t beat Portsmouth.

We're having some poor form away from home atm for sure, luckily we only have one away game (hopefully 2) left. It's a difficult one, we need to defend better but we have poor defenders and poor keepers outside of our strongest 11. We need Thomas back and we need to play our best team now, no breaks as they shouldn't need them at this stage, they just have to push through.

Losing Dovin has been a major blow.

You would have definitely been expecting him to save some of those goals that Collins let in. That would have changed everything.

Sheffield United are in bad form and have lost 4 of their last 5 , their fans would say its not good enough and why they aren't automatically promoted

Play offs at least?
I'd be amazed if we challenge for automatics.
I think in and around the play offs is our ceiling and if we keep doing it at some point we'll go up through them.

People laughed when I said we could’ve been in Sunderland’s position had we have not flapped games we shouldn’t have.

Which is exactly what King was aiming for i think, so you're probably right.

I think thats a realistic target. Sheff utd have been the only serious auto contender apart from the 2 who made it and they're now 8 points ahead of the top 2 and we're still 20 points adrift of them.

I'd expect us to start better but i also wouldn't expect a run of wins similar to what we've had this season. Maybe we could be next seasons Sunderland and be sat comfortably in play offs for months.

If Ipswich can do it, so can we! If Leicester are actually punished, I expect the league will be weaker next season.

Ipswich were an exception, and exceptions obviously do happen but it's not likely.
As for the league been weaker, we hear it every year, they'll still be at least 2 yo yo clubs with no points deduction.
We currently have a 28 point gap to bridge!
