So it seems Sky Blues Extra have provided the Argentinian fan with a ticket for this whilst fans with 1800 points have missed out.

Thoughts on this? I believe they have representatives on here.

I thought the club didn’t allow this @Sky Blue Pete

I don't think they have tickets to gift. Someone has clearly given their own ticket to him.

Why you'd want to give your ticket away for a game like this, I don't get. I wouldn't give mine away to him or anyone else.

Probably someone who has the points but can’t go because they’re on holiday or whatever.

Yeah it seems that's the case.

I don't want people buying tickets and selling them every week but equally I don't want the club to become Man United where they cancel season tickets if they've been used by someone else for a one off.

Could be simply doing a favour for a mate. Tbh I wish we had as it's an inconvenience now. 3 of us in our family often travel, but sometimes only 2. It means those 2 accounts can get pretty much any ticket we like 1 in the lottery of will it reach and then not together (plus 2 booking fees, only £1.20 but really irks me). If we'd bought and sold and kept the points equal, we'd now not have to play silly games and be inconvenienced, so it could even be some do that and were simply smarter off the blocks than me.

Yeah, so probably a one off then.

but shouldnt the club be cancelling the order then as he’s selling it on?

on Facebook a few fans selling home tickets had theirs cancelled for the baggies game as someone from the club was monitoring the page

or because it’s the Argentina fan it would be bad publicity but normally it’s frowned upon? That’s the issue fans have

If the club are going that way, then yes they'd have to cancel it.

But, do we want that? Do you want tickets cancelled because you've given one to your mate for personal reasons etc.

I disagree with the club stance on it but that’s the rules being implemented by the club so they need to follow through on all levels

but again the club pick and choose who they target which is wrong

...and bloody argies

if the club didn’t make such a big deal about reselling last week, no one would really care

but because wardy does stuff with the club and is a ‘high’ profile fan they won’t do anything

that’s the issue fans have it’s the double standards and hypocrisy from the club

Similarly how the hatters always get the seats they want at away games when nobody else can pick seats

There are enough clubs in Argentina for him to support, just chose us as some joke and gets lauded for it.

Can't moan about plastics for top 6 but then love when we get one. They're all a plague.

So I assume you’re in favour of whichever player giving their ticket to a non-CCFC employee getting banned by the club as punishment then?
not really the same is it

who says I’m in favour?

im saying the hypocrisy from the club is wrong

one hand they scroll through Facebook forums and banning fans and cancelling tickets because someone is selling on

but when someone else does it nothing is done because of who they are

the players will give tickets to family and friends. fadz is a friend of one of the players

there is a difference to the two scenarios

imo the club either stop banning fans for selling tickets across the board or make sure they target everyone despite who they are

don’t you agree?

Well if the players are allowed to hand out sold-out away tickets to their mates, why are fans who paid for the same tickets not able to do the same?

the players have always received tickets. was never a problem and many fans built relationships with players families as a result

however the club have only started to monitor forums for resale of tickets and taking action

that’s the issue here

That is what they are meant for though, tickets for players friends and families. So really not sure what you point is?

Are you expecting the players to have to use the tickets themselves even though they are playing in the game.

Have the club cancelled any away tickets yet due to this issue? So far I've only seen one post on Facebook about home tickets being cancelled.

The irony is, there will be probably quite a few people in the away end Saturday who are using someone else's ticket. It's silly that the Argentinan has shouted about it because he could get it cancelled.

the club have cancelled many tickets not just one. I see you missed the post on here when it happened to someone too

tickets are ticket whether it’s home or away

the club have cancelled away tickets before. happened to a friend of mine

Agree many will have got ticket of a friend but irony is you have someone gloating about the ticket on online. it sets a precedent

either the club ban all they are aware reselling or stop monitoring sites

Sorry to add but thought to clarify I thought the club only had an issue when tickets were being sold on or when season tickets were being misused (adult coming on a kid ticket).

In this case, if someone has bought him a ticket without him paying them too isn’t that above board rule wise.

because they always stand at the front nothing to do with the seat they are allocated

at away games you always see the same faces stand at the front nothing to do with the ticket they get
Just to add for clarity in case anyone actually reads his posts, this is factually incorrect.

No, I’m expecting ordinary fans to accept that tickets can and do find themselves in the hands of people who have fewer supporter points but better connections. And unless it’s happening on an industrial scale or involves rampant profiteering then it’s not worth any of the parties involved crying foul.
