If it's the one just down from the Train Station (Bell Inn?), then yes it is still there.

Picked a few lads up there in a minibus on the way to Cheltenham Festival a few years back. They were right old lumps.

Never been in there for a pint yet though.

I must have drunk in every one of these pubs. Did most of my drinking in town, used to go in the Alhambra when Don Fardon kept it, lunchtimes from school.

The silver Sword used to open at half five so that was first stop after a match, then we found the 7 stars (I think) up by The Old Stag which opened at 5, so used to go there.

Anyone remember the Jules Verne in Grayswood Ave? Think it's the Three Spires again now. I worked in the JV for about 2 years as assistant manager. I remember the themed bars - The Balloon Bar and The Western Bar spring to mind. The main bar was the India Bar (or something like that).

That was our local for a number of years, had had some great times in there. One of the bars was called the Shanghai Waterfront I distinctly remember. We had a pretty decent football team with a lot of very talented players. When it got refurbished it lost a lot of it´s atmosphere so quite a few of the regulars moved on to the Tollgate. Used to DJ in there on a Thursday night.

Shanghai Waterfront! That was it! Not the India bar! Knew it was something like that! You must have been there when Trevor Carter was the gaffer. I was his assistant manager. I remember the discos we had as well.

It's stage, in my time, saw the likes of Frank Turner, Enter Shikari, Roddy, Kaiser Chiefs, yourcodenameis:milo, some dude from Busted, The Young Knives, Graveltrap...

Exchange & Mart was also down there. There was also a Ladbrookes (or might have been William Hills) bookies at the top, tucked away, just before H. Samuels. New Buildings was always the short cut between Broadgate and Pool Meadow. I used it many a time whilst working on the buses!

I played darts for The Golden Cross for many years so got to a lot of pubs round the City, also played for The Greyhound, The Shepherd & Shepherdess, and The Royal Warwicks at various times.

Went past the Dolphin in Canley the other day and that is shut now and is slowly being dismantled by the local population.

The Live and Let Live. Bit before my time and a bit out of my area but a boozer that had a massive reputation.

What was the one in Henley Green that got burnt down? Fernando will know if he reads this.

The Shire Horse mate. Add the White Horse too.

Went past the Whitmore Arms today - or rather where it used to be.

Remember sitting outside The Jolly Colliers drinking Vimto while the old man tucked away a couple of pints!!

Can also remember watching the construction of the M6 by the side of The Jolly Colliers in about 1968ish.
