Stuart Linnell should be sacked (11 Viewers)

A "few silly things"?! He's an abusive idiot! People on here are only cheering for him because he managed the two great achievements of slagging both Linnell and SISU off.

Read his previous posts.

Don't think too many a cheering for him, it's clear he's either a troll or as mad as a bucket of frogs.

But even Hitler got a couple of things right didn't he?

Nothing wrong with S.L being the big shock jock but you can't then start being a cry baby when some people throw shit back your way

Maybe someone has emailed already?

I sent a brief e-mail complaint to BBC C&W last night. I said that in my opinion Stuart Linnell had acted unprofessionally and should consider whether an apology to members of this forum is appropriate. I made it clear that that I was writing in a personal capacity.

I don't usually listen to "phone ins" as they tend to bring nothing new to any debate. Up and down the land accusations are always thrown at the presenters by the fans with some justification. I guess if they are critical of the clubs they don't get access to the personnel so they don't bite the hand that feeds them, that's the way it goes.
I did catch him last week with this "come on ACL" comments and as pointed out it did seem like goading.
I think the issue is his links to the club, be it past or present, so the anti SISU brigade are going to question when it comes across that he's backing SISU or having a pop at ACL. Why not make his position clear where he is at this moment in time with regards to the club on air. That then takes out all the emotion. Not use litigation threats to already frustrated fans or cutting people off.
Ordinary folk know that, even if they are correct, the costs of proving your comments are correct would pretty much break the "normal" man.

Ahh yes "rogue gate" many years ago. It's obvious you are intelligent Paxman II and like to hide behind your anonymity as you scare monger.
I'd encourage anyone to google what happened just to see how spiteful some folk become when they can afford to be. Also the official Coventry City forum was taken down because it was pointed out that what was written on there was 10 times worse what was posted on GMK at the time and it made the Person from CCFC who had the solicitors letter sent to a fan look a tad silly.
Personally I've always hated bullies...

To refer to the situation at another forum as scaremongering is clearly wrong - it happened. I never posted back then but I did read the website and contributed to the owners fighting fund as the action taken against him was, in my opinion, outrageous and an offence to free speech.

As would, in my opinion, any action taken against anyone on this site. We may all have different opinions and different strengths of opinion but, when we hardly have all the facts, that is all they can be at best.

As I did Spencer for the very same reasons you did, my comment regarding scaremongering is by referring to what happened back then and warning fans about what they post now stifles free speech. I don't suggest for one minute fans go around making all sorts of allegations but like you say, if they have very little to go on what else are they supposed to think or say. I guess the safest approach is to say nothing...

Maybe the Sky Blue Trust can organise some burning torches, then we can go and surround CWR.

Afterwards, we can go and look round the Transport Museum. Very interesting.

Are you a member of the Trust?

You said that you went round handing out leaflets at home games to try to oust previous regimes. Since SISU have been at least as bad as those previous regimes, I can only presume you will be campaigning hard with the Trust now.

Surely you are not one of those bitter fans who mocks, questions and criticises the trust at every opportunity?

He killed himself. What was the other one?

Well what about his invasion of France for one?

Totally out thought the Allied Forces and walked straight into France undetected.

To be fair he did do a lot of things right. If he hadn't done them right he wouldn't have had successful invasions of so many countries would he and would have cocked them up.;)

Apparently he really loved his mum too.

When I was a member of a debating scoiety, they made clear that the only "rule" of debating is to never praise Hitler - you will only ever get marked down for it!

Linnel is a Muppet, I've seen him hundreds of times on my Grandkids DVD's, but still can't work out if he's Waldorf or Staedtler.

Who cares about Linnell?

The vast majority of CCFC fans know he is wrong, and they voiced their opinions yesterday. I didn't hear any chants against ACL.

There will always be a few nay-sayers, because the human race always throws up people who like to argue that good ideas are bad ideas - thankfully these people in this case are doomed to carping from the sidelines whilst the rest of us look forward to the imminent inevitability of SISU leaving. It doesn't matter what the SISU fans think, their time is up.

Glad that you're a member. But curious as to why you actively campaigned to get rid of those regimes, yet seem to support the current one (who, if anything, have been worse) - what is it about SISU that makes you tolerate / support them?

Well firstly, I don't believe they are worse than previous regimes as SISU haven't sold our home. Secondly, I tolerate SISU as to all intents and purposes they are the football club. I would say I'm Anti-ACL rather than Pro-SISU as in my opinion ACL have inflicted more damage to Coventry City than SISU ever will with their anti-competitive business model.

Well the only thing I can offer in defence for Torch here is that as the fans were chanting 'We want Sisu out, we want Sisu out' yesterday, I felt like chanting 'We need someone in, we need someone in.'

Think that is his general stance. Kick them out to be replaced by who exactly? Been interest, but anyone could show interest.

Isn't that what Jo Dhinsa did?

I have never been in any anti Sisu brigade or anti ACL brigade, so don't think I am speaking from a biased perspective, but do have to say that Linnell has been guilty of a lack of balance.

I don't mind him having his own opinion, that's fine, but as an employee and commentator working for the BBC it is his duty to show balance and that he has simply not done. He has shouted down many a fan who has failed to agree personally with him.

He did the same thing with the Andy Thorn situation. That became very, very embarrassing.

It is not acceptable. The BBC are supposed to show impartiality. Linnell is failing to do that.

Clive Eakin is so much better and I think it is time for Mr. Linnell to take a back seat, otherwise there will be complaints and the Beeb will have to act upon them and he will end up being removed from his seat forcibly I feel.

The programme has become so BBC-like.

I'm pretty sure the post-match phone in is for fans to air their views isn't it? Clive Eakin always allows this to happen with much interruption. Linnell has shot callers down and talked over them. No devil's advocate here, just him keeping banging out the same rhetoric week after week.

Sacked? No. But him taking a back seat would be a very wise move in my opinion.

Very well put, totally agree!

I defend the club I support who happen to be owned by SISU. I'm against ACL who in my opinion have hamstrung CCFC. That's the crux of it for me.

That;s what it feels like from reading some of the posts on here that passionately defend them
