One thing is for sure: Stuart will know, either through his own curiosity or through someone telling him, that the largest active thread on here is a 39 page long one discussing whether he should resign. I hope that at least makes him consider demonstrating some objectivity in the future!

Well said, the army is always an emotional soft-spot that is used by some people to manipulate other people.

I remember watching BBC QT, and many people were questioning cuts to military, saying we need an army to protect our borders... From what? There's no threat of a world conflict and terrorism is handled by counter-terrorist bodies in the police or intelligence services. How are the soldiers protecting our freedom fighting in a country that is 3000-4000 miles away? Not slating the army because they're acting under orders from the government.

Afghanistan is a scam of a war, utterly pointless, we're not preventing terrorism, if anything, foreign interference is breeding it, we're fighting in one province, hardly eradicating the problem, what's ironic about it, we trained the people we're fighting against 30 odd years ago! It's a waste of money and should've been the first thing the Tories cut! I have respect for soldiers, they are heros, who risks their lives for so little, but they are without a heroic cause in this instance. Bring them home.

Can't disagree with 90% of what you say(Will wonders never cease) The only things I will disagree on is, my son has done 3 tours in Iraq, 5 tours in the 'Stan. Now did you know that 70% of the worlds heroin is grown in Afghan! and is now being controlled by allied forces? Did you know that the Taliban are hated by 90% of Afghans and don't want the allied forces to leave? Did you also know that were not just fighting in one province(Think you need to rethink what your statement says mate.):)

Would also like to think that he would have enough about him to at least acknowledge how a lot of fans are interpreting his comments. If he is half the objective broadcaster he claims to be, then that is not too much to expect.

Wouldn't hold your breath because if you listen not only to him but also other presenters on CWR Radio 5 Live etc they dont like controversy as quick as they are to threaten use of their own lawyers they dont want to risk being sued themselves.

If anything he'd be more likely revel in the attention his show is getting and keep on doing exactly what he does. If people got bored of it and stopped listening it'd be one thing, but if they're listening and then talking about it he's hit the jackpot, even if they're calling him names.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying:

Objectivity = criticise ACL and SISU evenly.
Do that = get sued by SISU?

@Stuart_Linnell @procdoc3 yesterday he didn't allow someone to be factually incorrect about the nature of admin and how admin works.

Alan Proctor Alan Proctor ‏@procdoc3 5h
@gmkonline @stuart_linnell and that is unacceptable. I'm not alone in thinking linnell is biased against ACL, others have listened too

@procdoc3 @gmkonline Alan, not going to prolong this further. At least you have been prepared to speak openly here, so thank you for that.

@procdoc3 @gmkonline by the way I have always said Sisu have made "huge" mistakes, not "few". But leave it there. My day off today.

I suspect we may have a Stuart Linnell should be sacked - Part II thread come Monday evening.

No, I think it's time the Pompey thread was dethroned as the longest (and most pointless) on SBT!

Lets face it - just after 5pm on Monday, this board will probably get a record number of online viewers and the CWR phone-in will get a record number of listeners.

Nick might need to get additional cooling in for the SBT server. :)

If it survived Administration (or are we?) Thursday, it can cope with Linnell Gate!

He was slightly more polite, perhaps even contrite, in his tweets than he is on the radio...Gaunt is much worse!

No threat of a world conflict? Do you read the news?

You mean another Korean War? That'd strictly be between NK v SK & USA, and NK would get crushed, I can't even see China getting involved in that one.

Mali - another Afghan, I hope we don't get dragged into that one.

Israeli v Iran, all talk, won't spill over into anything yet, Iran doesn't have the military capabilities to wage war v Israel and USA unless Russia get involved, won't happen. May involve Britain, unsure, again unlikely I feel, considering we don't really support Israel, we tend to favour Palestine.

China v Japan, wouldn't involve Britain.

In hindsight, I should've added, 'that would involve Britain'.

The media over blows the proportions of these threats of world conflicts, the only conflict that could get ugly is North Korea, but again, they don't have the resources to wage 'total war' like they threaten, they can't even train properly because they don't have the fuel!

As always, there will always be another world conflict, but can't see it being in the next 20 years, I hope I don't see this conflict, but the results of a WW3 would be catastrophic, as we all know.

I've been acquainted in the past with someone from Afghanistan, hated the Taliban, and that was the feeling in Afghanistan, added the Taliban were feared, said where the fighting is, it is nowhere near the hotspots in reality. Good person.

My bad then, what other provinces are we fighting in? I only tend to hear Helmand.

I know most of the world's heroin came through Afghan, didn't think it was 70%, I thought less, a lot less, actually, Afghanistan also has a lot of untapped minerals and oil and I have no doubt the Allies will probably take it for their troubles. This war isn't genuine.

Helmand, Quandahar, Nimruz, in the south, Badghis, Faryab, ghowr, central.
Badakhstan in the mountains bordering Pakistan, Samangan, in the north, to name but a few.
