Will the board members bare knuckle fight for the seat on the ccfc board?

For a start we'd all need nicknames and special moves and costumes. .
If something like that did come off I'd expect it would be up to the trust members not the board to decide (I'm talking about a seat on the CCFC board not a bare knuckle fight)

SBT need to be very careful with this. The angry reactions to fairly justifiable questions about elitism etc will only further entrench people's positions.

Only certain members of the trust getting privileged meetings/information with no chance for "normal" members to suggest questions or comments, coming on here with "we will notify you in due course" refusing to actually give any detail about Haskells plans when asked outright in both this and the GMK thread give off the impression that the SBT board see themselves in an ivory tower.

Not everyone can make a weeknight meeting in a pub (and when you do they are monopolised by the same small contingent) not everyone is a confident social speaker who can argue their point well in a pub setting, where is the outreach to the average fan? I've been a member since the Pompey home game and haven't been asked once what my views on any of the major topics are, yet the trust keeps on putting out statements on my behalf.

Of course the standard answer will be "be more active, come to meetings" but lets be honest, its the 21st century, if you wanted to open up a dialogue with members you could. Yet you refuse to in favour of making the board members feel special.

I hope to god the trust thrives and that's why I joined, but if someone doesn't take this PR thing on head on you'll be back to selling shit tables online in no time.

Atleast you know what the major topics are.... I am undecided about joining the trust and need more information before I make a decision... I'm not interested in what the 4 the itinerary is... I need to know what the trusts aims and objectives are... And how they will go about accomplishing their aims and objectives

Original post by Grendel:- He means that the council will refuse anyone the ability to own the ground or gain maximum revenue from it - a view that worryingly many of our fans support.

Really? I don't recall anybody saying that on here? You been taking the yellow pills instead of the blue ones again?

Well actually Cllr Maton seems to be inclined that way ...

[QUOTE Cllr. Kevin Maton tweet ref. StuartLinnell on-air comments:- History of running Highfield Rd. poor. Sharing income deal can be done. There's more to Ricoh than the pitch.]
[QUOTE Cllr. Kevin Maton tweet ref. StuartLinnell on-air comments:- Why obsession with owning 100% of stadium. Running Ricoh complex & CCFC should be separate but partner.]

Agree, it isnt hard to bang out polls to members to get feedback every so often!

All of this we know stuff but aren't telling is a load of shite too! Why not share it with the members?

If people are doing it for the love of the club then what happens if the trust gets a seat on the board but none of the trust board gets voted for it? Not very happy id guess!

What's aggressive about any replies?
The aim of the Trust has nothing to do with any place on any board.
The concept of a supporter on the board was not suggested or asked for by the Trust.
The person or persons who represent any fans may not be a TRust member, they suggested "supporter representation".

Shmmeee, I don't think anyone on the board wants to see themselves as part of an elite. If particular information has not been told to people, it's for one of two reasons: either we don't know, or we've been asked for confidentiality. I know the second of those can be frustrating for people. Believe me, it's frustrating for us, but nobody would thank us for sabotaging something that could improve things for the club because we couldn't keep a confidence. Remember what happened the first time Hoffman got hold of some interested investors? Someone (not the Trust, because we didn't know) blabbed to the press, and the whole deal was wrecked.

Comments about wanting two way communication are taken. If you've had Michael's latest email, you'll see he thanks people for emailing him back, and asking them to continue to respond. There's no refusal to open a dialogue; I'm sure the board would welcome it. We'd thought of doing a questionnaire on the website, but this whole ACL/SISU thing blew up before we had a chance. If you've got the time to put one together (or anyone else, for that matter) let us know. Email Michael, or through the website (http://skybluetrust.co.uk/index.php/contacts/12-contacts/2-general-enquiries), and someone will get back to you.

Hi steve,

The website says this:

obtain an ownership stake in CCFC, giving supporters a direct say in the running of the Club and having at least one democratically elected Trust member on the CCFC Board – like at Swansea;

Still no mention of this grand plan that was put forward by the new tycoon to the much lauded SBT. Transparency at its finest! If the trust get any kind of board place or involvement in the running of the club thats me done. I disagree with the manner they conduct themselves in when challenged on subjects, how they are quick to tell everybody about their new information then decline to tell anybody and the clincher was the Late KickOff show which was beyond cringeworthy.

I thought the clincher was the "cringeworthy" late kick off show which was weeks ago?

In my opinion you are a great voice for the trust :)

Steve I wouldn't take it personally their are some right idiots on here will never be happy what ever happens, but at the same time are not interested in doing anything about it can't make meetings can't get up the game can't be bothered, but take liabilities with others who really care sorry but they should put up or shut up.:mad:
I can't always make the Trust meeting due to shift work but when I do go the questions are varied and from anyone who asks so for people who never go to shout that it's the small minority is just idiotic if it is true then they should come along and put their questions forward :mad:
And if Colin wants to make the Tea or Coffee then he's always welcome to do so typical response we expect from this website (should be called claretandbluetalk)
If you don't want to be a member that's your prerogative, but to slag off all they do without any evidence or substance is a disgrace.
Everyone is welcome to the meeting they don't check membership as there is nothing to hide

Steve keep up the good work :claping hands::claping hands: don't even bother rising to the morons on this site

I thought everyone was entitled to their opinions Nick? And no one I know in the Trust thinks those who aren't members aren't Sky Blue supporters. But if you can't take the criticism, don't dish it out!

Huh? I can more than take it, it was just the we, i didnt know who he was speaking as, if it was a fan or the trust!

Where did i say people cant have an opinion?

When people go on internet sites saying we or having a go at people who dont agree with the trust etc it just makes the trust look bad without them even doing it!

I signed up not long ago mainly because of steve!

Why dont the doubters of the Trust all join then call for a vote of no confidence in the elected representatives then stand to be voted on as representatives themselves. Just a thought.

I've tried to answer questions in this thread as best I can but trying to respond to every query on here just isn't possible any longer when things are so full on, members are the priority and the logistics of a 2,000 member organisation are massively different to when it was just 400/500. So I'll just repeat that anyone who has a specific question is always welcome to email me at [email protected]

So people who do not join out of blind loyalty are "idiots" ?

That seems an extreme way to treat those who want to know more about the trust and not we "want a seat on the board" !

If they do aquire a seat

In what way do they wish to influence the running of the club?

Just read the treads on this website
Anti city fans
Anti trust
Anti Sisu
Anti ACL
Anti Hoffman
Anti Elliott
Anti Pressley
Anti anything City
this is just a few of the treads in the last week.
These are my views not the trusts...

You do not get the Trust slagging off anybody but others on here slag off everything City then say it's depressing up the Ricoh no wonder......................................

All i'm saying is no wonder we are all suicidal reading the same old depressing shit day in and day out things won't just fix themselves or maybe they will!!!!! at least the trust try to get some answers, the telegraph CWR even can't found out any news from SISU

Blind loyalty to what and who SISU ACL CITY ????????
If there is a seat given on the board then it is the members who would decide so all i'm saying is that if you are a member then you get that vote.
As for influencing the running of the club that I don't know about but at least we will have some one there who can tell us whats going on unlike now.
If we had a representative on the board now we would have known if the golden share had been moved.

I am just a normal member of the trust not on the committee this is what I believe

Good responses... are you on the board of the trust ?

Because if you crack like that when I billy nobody asks a question how are you going to react when you talk to people who are the real power players?
