If we are playing at the Ricoh next season, assuming a deal is done, many of us will eventually receive season ticket renewal letters.
We therefore need a thread to discuss options
Option 1: Not a penny more = stick to total boycott of all tickets and merchandise. Do not renew.
Option 2: No season ticket but attend and buy no merchandise = this gives freedom to change to options 1 or 3 as events unfold and deprives club of cash up front.
Option 3: Renew season ticket, business as usual.

Overwhelming desire has to be a Coventry City team playing IN Coventry. Stay at the Ricoh and that is exactly what we'll get.

Okay, so we don't like the owners. Did we all stop going when the unholy trinity of Richardson, McGinnity and Robinson were in charge?

We stay here and are successful on the field then Sisu will go anyway.

Remember, we weren't that far away from the play-offs last season with Sisu at the helm were we!

I appreciate this has had only 8 responses but if you take it that 7 have said no and 1 maybe, it indicates around 1 to 2 thousand for home games? That cannot be sustained this they will either sell or we get liquidated. Stay strong and boycott, it won't be long before we are all back with either starting again with new club or different owners.

At the end we were for sure, because we had the 10 points hanging over us, but we were within about 7 points I think before Leon Clarke got injured.

That injury and the shadow of penalty over the club did for us in the end, along with Robins going, but for a while we were close and my point is that it wouldn't take too much more to get us into the play-off positions.

Had Robins stayed and Clarke remained fit we would have been close.

1 or 2 thousand at home at the Ricoh? No way.

If it is that low then I don't blame Sisu for taking the club elsewhere.

We need to convince them that staying here is the right and proper thing to do.

You need that, a strong defence and a 20 goal a season striker.

I see a few people not going if SISU are still in charge but I see them coming back if we have a good start, probably to continue to protest at matches.

My next hope is that Sisu agree a deal at the Ricoh to provide a package that they sell on to another investor.
I still think these investors were compromised as they did not know what they were buying and also knew there would be a further fight through the courts with SISU.

There's a story on Cov Mad (I know, I know) about the G Casino being under threat if Cov play elsewhere. While Tesco can probably just about survive without the matchday trade, they must see some spike in sales on those days too. Clarke is 'ok'? Only the best in the league (now Madden has gone) and would've finished on 20+ goals easily had he not got injured. If he could do everything other than score then he wouldn't be playing in L1 at 28. Same with Fleck, he's this 'creative midfielder' people have been craving for years, but many have turned on him because he isn't great at defending and his fitness (which he's working on for this season), but again, what did people expect? Someone who can do everything? Some people need to wake up and realise we're in the L1 now and not the Prem, or even the Championship anymore.

Can't say I dislike Sisu anymore than I disliked Richardson, McGinnity and Robinson to be honest and i kept on going up when they were in charge.

Its all about CCFC not SISU. SISU are just a means to get what we want. I want CCFC in Coventry, you want League 2 !!!

In fairness, I can understand people's initial feeling of doubt towards Pressley because I'm not got to sugarcoat it, his record is below expectations at the minute, BUT, (and it is a big but) our main, and a lot of the time, our only source of goals got injured, which left a massive vacuum to be filled and we all knew that Cody, Philliskirk, Ball or Wilson wouldn't have adequately filled that vacuum, we knew we were going to struggle if/when he got injured, so when we struggled, I'm actually surprised at the extent of discontent directed at SP, he inherited a flawed squad, last season we were totally dependant on 3 players for goals - 2 at any given period - Baker and McG and when McG left, Baker and Clarke, and Baker scored considerably less open-play goals after December so we totally dependant on Clarke, Clarke and McG are similar in importance to the team (although McG is a superior player). In addition, he received a poor defence that struggled to keep clean sheets and Edj, Wood and Cameron are dodgy whilst Martin wasn't nothing special, a team with a poor defence minus your top goal scorer = disaster, in fact, in some of the games I saw under SP, I thought it was only a striker who could score was missing, for this, I sympathise massively with SP. To worsen the situation, we were burdened with admin, which was probably detrimental to the team because the season was effectively over from that point, and to wrap this up, SP hasn't had an opportunity to sign players that will suit his style more or to strengthen weak areas, for example, a striker and 1-2 CBs and that's without acknowledging the need to sign a winger or 2, the squad at present is very imbalanced, partly due to Thorn who spent the large bulk of players in the summer and fatally decided not to sign at least 1 winger for a 'Plan B'.

I'm reserving my judgement on SP for now, but I'm confident he'll produce a winning team and his idea on the game and how a club should be run matches my beliefs (passing football, importance of academy etc.)

At our level, you'd be lucky if a striker had one of those listed attributes - and I'm pretty sure I'd choose the '20 goal a season striker', the objective of a striker is to score goals, and I don't care if he's got zero-football intelligence, slow etc. as long as he scores goals - that's what he's there for!

I still can't believe people genuinely thought Elliott was a better player - just compare their goal scoring record at any point.
