Not one penny more - from sisu rent boys to super fans (7 Viewers)

What a ridiculous football club we are.

We now have a section of "fans" who consider themselves superior as they will no longer go to support the club anymore and those who do are inferior - not in it for the long term as if they have a better understanding of the current plight.

Not supporting is damaging and dangerous. Less income equals less revenue equals worse squad equals less chance of potential serious investors.

Of course the supporters of this campaign - not one penny more - in all likelyhood last spent a penny at the club pre decimalisation.

One today who is very passionate lives in Switzerland so the revenue equation is hardly threatened either way. Another thinks season ticket holders at Coventry city are worms (yes he really does). We need to disregard this nonsense and see it for what it really is. A cause without purpose, a protest by those with no desire or intent.

Ignore it. Support the team.

This original post does more to promote the virtue of the campaign by being anti to it than any amount of pro posts ever could. Again I draw back to my earlier post where i talked about oppression attempting to be applied in a very passive aggressive manner. The offensive pre decimalisation quote being a perfect example.

Support or dont support but live and let live.

You seem to get a lot of stick on here. But my view as an observer, rather than a regular poster, is that you talk more sense than at least 90% of posters on here.

So I suppose taking the moral high ground and ignoring the problems isn't making the OP "superior" to other fans then? Hypocritical bullshit from the master of the genre as per.

Here is a man with no feeling in his arsehole, he still hasn't realised he's being shafted. Look over your shoulder Grendel, you'll see Tim with his trousers around his ankles!

Everyone's entitled to their opinion and stance but I'm with 'Grendel' boycotting or not supporting the Club, Manager & Team will have a very, very detrimental to the long term future of my (sorry, OUR Club IMHO).

Whilst you and the 'no more pocket money' boys will be sat cry wanking at home whilst the tiny slithers of a club we have left fall even quicker into oblivion.

If you want to go to the games then go, if you don't then don't.

I think your wrong for wanting to go, but that's just my opinion and I'm not going to criticise anyone for doing it.

Anyone who thinks they are better than their fellow fans for either going or not going however is a tosser.

Exactly.

Grendel's OP is laughable. Accusing others of claiming superiority while himself sat on a very high horse.

Can't everyone just stop flinging shit at each other? It's like a monkey enclosure without the fun of monkeys.

Says the original sisu rent boy. Sometimes fact is more unbelievable than fiction.

We've been through this "SISU rent boy" thing several times over and the conclusion was that you and lordsummerisle are boring the sh1t out of everyone with it.

I'll say no more.

Why not say "bring back Clive Platt"

Go on, you know you want to.

if this campaign takes off I can see CCFC staff being laid off before it has it's desired effect (whatever that is now) if it ever does. Can see it now, "we had no choice other than to lay off the retail / ticketing / insert job title here staff as the NOPM campaign means revenues are down", next will be "we had to sell clarke because revenues aren't matching our predictions for FFP". Gives them an easy out, instead of it being blamed on a move out of the city the supporters will get the blame.

Six years of take, take, take, from SISU. Decent crowds when they came in, but lack of investment drove fans away. What makes you think if we keep paying in we will get something out? They will strangle this club rather than do anything to help it. I'm not assisting in that!

It will be the same fans protesting at us selling players, some people just love a protest!

If the team moves out of Coventry we are doomed long term anyway.
SISU can support the team financially this year based on last years income.
We need to show SISU we don't want to go somewhere for 3 years and don't want a tin pot stadium and even more debt on our return.
SISU need to get off their arses and get back into the Ricoh because thats what 99% of fans want.
Whatever campaigns we run are all trying to achieve the same thing in different ways.

SISU OUT, if won, keeps us at the Ricoh as we have new owners who will also be able to buy the Ricoh.
NOT ONE PENNY MORE, means fans are not supporting SISU and if won will make them change their minds. They may not go like some want but at least we will be at the Ricoh.

"Keep Coventry City FC in Coventry"

I thought sisu said they were covering all the losses the groundshare would bring for the next 3 seasons? Any money they get starved of is irrelevant to them then?

Well that's true. The not a penny mob will be contributing to an expidited financial ruin. We don't really need this campaign though as Coventry fans have staged their own sordid little NOPM protest by deciding to boycott games at at an outstanding rate of 47% average gate reduction in 6 years. Well done to all concerned!

Tickets will be sold by "Walsall" so they will go anyway.
FFP this year is okay, next year will be based on this years income.
Who cares if SISU blame us, at least try and stop them .

Septic and Fisher have been "Laying off" staff for a couple of years now mate. Wayyyyy before NOPM.

..... and moving out of Coventry for a minimum of 3 years followed by a third rate stadium won't.

Get some balls, do something to stop the self centred SISU plan that will set us back 50 years and land us with double todays debt.

SISU and CCFC at the Ricoh is where we need to be.
Get SISU to change their plans by not following them blindly.

FFP this year is okay, next year will be based on this years income.

I thought they had to submit a budget for FFP which is then monitored by the FL to ensure they haven't given them something that is miles away from what actually happens?

Septic and Fisher have been "Laying off" staff for a couple of years now mate. Wayyyyy before NOPM.

that may well be the case but would those supporting this campaign be happy if they were directly contributing to people losing their jobs?

I support the not one penny more campaign if they move the club out of Cov. But as has been stated on here already this very act will deprive the club of the income required to compete and it will be relegation struggle. If this campaign convinces SISU to renegotiate for the ricoh then it has ben worth it. However even when back at the Ricoh if SISU are in charge I would expect the crowd to have dropped by 2,000 due to the lack of belief in SISU and only a winning team will bring them back
