Posting about this on another general football forum and some people have actually replied saying they think it's hilarious. Makes it easier for me to give up on English football with such fucktards around.

Just as a show of solidarity, I (notts fan) don't think it even slightly amusing. In fact I'm gobsmacked it's even being considered. Like you, I hope the FL don't ratify it, but I'm afraid I'm not holding my breath. I really feel for you all and I can't begin to imagine how I'd feel if this were happening to us.

Best of luck and let's hope for once that the FL show some balls.

By and large the football community isn't so idiotic to poke fun at a club suffering so badly at the hands of its owners. The battle isn't over yet though and the League can still try and enforce common sense but like you I'm not expecting any help from them. Some fans think we have been evicted from the Ricoh, others think it's because we've overspent and can't afford to play there.

Neither of those things is true, let's be crystal clear about that. SISU have taken it upon themselves to ruin a football club to spite a stadium company.

This is what happens when hedge funds run football clubs.

Could be intresting to see what Stuart Linell thinks, he works for Northampton radio i believe, he could let us know what they also think of this.

I've actually been following the saga since I first visited this site, so I am aware pretty much of what's happened. As has already been said it's a dangerous precedent and one which all football fans should be concerned about.

I will be going to all the home matches at six fields. It's just as near for me as the Ricoh..................

I will stand on the grass bank with my non fire retardant banner and protest at the games. Not a penny more. And I don't give stuff if we do well in the cup games or playoffs I'm not giving SISU a penny until we are playing back in the city.

There's the thing, a lot of fans don't, and a lot of fans don't care about a third tier club in the Midlands being shunted 30 miles away to a ground less than a quarter of where they used to play. Pompey were still fresh in many of the plastic fans' memories and their high profile ensured all kinds of help from the League to guide them through to the other side. That help is not forthcoming for us.

1st home game (Northampton) attendance = 800? Hope not.

Not a single fan i know is going. Surely the biggest message is no one turned up!

Could be the first game where NO fans turn up.

Wonder what bristol city fans will think?

This could happen to any club not just hedge funds if the glaziers could move man utd to Asia they would. It's all about the greedy dirty part of modern football. If it happens to the founder members of the premiership it could happen to any team

all of this echoes back to a conversation i had with an employee of the club,
this some 2yrs ago,
he overheard JS say that unless she got her way 100%,
she would liquidate the club,
i'd always hoped that this would never occur,
but the spite / greed / megalomania of some knows no bounds,
of course, other fans of other clubs will be monitoring the situation,
no football fan should have to endure what we've gone through,
and yes the Football League, should stand up & be counted,
will they ?????

That's how I feel about this situation.

A football club once a proud asset of Coventry has become a bitch slapped pawn in a corporate battle, stripped of dignity and ass raped in front of the fans.

They're even happy to keep losing money in order to achieve it. I just don't understand what they stand to gain.

If the FL don't ratify the deal, what do you all think Sisu's (Otiums) next move will be?

Liquidate CCFC Ltd and go back to ACL to negotiate a new lease for Holdings. ACL will be portrayed as the bad guys and SISU will make it out to be a master stroke.

Or Liquidate the whole shebang and move on. The FL decision is crucial, not only to Coventry FC (and us) but to the future of English football and the credibility of the Football League.

I'm sure there are other teams fans thinking 'by the grace of god'.

This shit needs to be stamped out and lets get back to sport. Yes, football is a sport, but, at the minute its a blood sport.

Yes it was tremendous response to my reply to a poster who revels in trying to point score and shows zero interest in the football club.

Utter utter bollocks.

Well, not all football fans. Some still find it funny.

Tim fisher said at the forums the FL have them a choice of 3 grounds so of sixfields is one of them grounds they will approve it. No matter what we say

I still have a feeling it is bluff, although I might go to a couple of games out of curiosity.

If the season tickets were really cheap say £100 and the club put on cheap buses would that entice any one to go?

Oh, I'm laughing too. Albeit manically and I've developed a facial tick.

If you didn't laugh... , etc

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I find it too serious to laugh, and if anyone likes a laugh, it's me. It's fair to say that I consider it not a laughing matter. It's just utterly...horrid.

Feel sick to the stomach after reading all this. I still can't understand what SISU intend to gain from it, they've destroyed the club and this could be the final nail in the coffin.

I hope to god that the FL actually grow a pair tomorrow and deny the move but i doubt they will. I remember reading something about them never letting another MK dons happen, i guess it was all PR spin.

If this all turns out to be true, CCFC will be dead in two years, if not before.
