I believe that he was never going to sign with us. His public statement that he would, was just a chance for a bigger club to come in last minute and offer him more money.

I believe Marlon, with all but the sending over bit. I believe that the verbal agreement was in place and the club were to sit down with him when he got back to get the signature. Thats what Thorn says in the Telegraph.

I also think that 2 months ago the fans HATED the board but now everybody feels for them and are siding with them because of the King fiasco.
The board lied about the council meeting and buying the Ricoh and players have come out in the past and said "No Contract Turned Up" so there are both sides to the story rather than "King is a wanker".

I'm with the board on this one, I don't think Marlon was sitting in Dubai checking his e-mails when he could have easily sorted it yesterday when he came back - he even said in his statement he needs to do what's best for himself. I think its a bit petty signing for our rivals because he didn't receive an email fast enough whilst he was in Dubai. A contract isn't exactly written in 5 minutes especially as MK's would be more complicated than the average one with all the legal issues.

Brum still don't have the contract written up or he would've signed it by now. CCFC and BCFC are effectively at the same stage of negotiation. No contract on the table, but verbal agreements from MK.

Depends on who you believe. If King didn't want to sign for us why didn't he just say. He could then move onto Brum I would have nothing against them, I reckon they've got a much better chance at promotion than us anyway. But the way he's done it has just upset alot of fans (not that he'd care). I never believe this crap about a contract not arriving in the post, if you've agree terms I sure it's not big a deal if the actual signature is delayed. It's just the player bullshitting the fans to make them think that they wanted to stay when they weren't even considering it. The same as Tabb that short arsed prick.

Nick I sort of agree with Rich, we offered it to him ages ago (so they say) I think this is all about money for king, and there is a certain way to conduct yourself, which he has not done. But Nick i see your point everyone feels for the board now when we hated them two weeks ago. Like I say I am a bit fed up with all the knock backs we as cov fans get. PUSB

To say he was waiting for an email is just a joke, as you cant sign an email, but you can sign a contract which the club wanted to put to him on his return....except he went to sign elsewhere for more cash.
No loyalty these days, its all about the money....especially with someone with Kings morals.
Personally at least we can now free up his wages for other players

Well well seems like I have been conned again. Gave MK benefit of the doubt after hearing his version about sex offences, I should have known better, once a liar always a liar. Yes board have a record regarding contracts but this issue is about who do you believe AT or MK. If you have given your word why would you be speaking to anyone else, knowing there was a contract waiting for you when you got back from holiday. I think people believe sisu are the board.
King is a convicted criminal, he doesn't have just the one 'mistake when I was young', or an unfounded claim by a publicity seeker, he has over a dozen convictions including fraud. The club couldn't hire him to work in the ticket office, behind the bar, or to run a JSB day out becuase of the wide range of criminal activities behind him. He is a liar, a convicted liar, I really don't see why this lie is a surprise.

I will wait see what the paperwork says before making a final decision, as i am under contract till 1st July anyway and there is no rush. So being a man of my word I will do it that way and come back to you if anything changes" ...... doesnt it

So what if he couldn't get through to the Chairman on the phone in Portugal. I make phone calls all the time for my job and when you need to speak to someone you keep trying or try someone else.
The end of it is money talks and King probably doesn't care who is employers are.

Look at the facts. King returns from his holiday on Wednesday and by Thursday is having a medical at Blues. To me that shows King made his mind up long time ago for the process to happen so quickly.

Well yes if he thinks King is not in the wrong. I just cant believe a player can make his mind up that quick by landing on the wednesday and having a medical on the thursday.
I personally blame the telegraph aswell for running the story in the first place. The club were not intending to say anything until the paper phoned and said were running the story so hands were tied...
