If we start well. (1 Viewer)

There's a massive bigger picture here. If SISU have their way our team might never play in the city again. The Wimbledon thing was only supposed to be short term, look what happened. Those that think they are going to Northampton should think long and hard about what they are doing. They are going along with SISU, agreeing to their plans. THREE years has already become - maybe FIVE. In the space of a week. They move the goalposts to suit.
Don't relent, don't cave in. Supporters just don't realise the power they have as a unified force. If August 10 comes around and we are at Sixfields it'll be awful, but we have to stand firm.
I'm hoping for good news this week to come out of...
1) ACL meeting the League
2) Hoffman Fisher meeting
3) ACL pressure on Northampton
4) Parliamentary knock ons/fraud
5) .....something unknown emerging

For once I'll be making a stand and I won't go to Sixfields no matter how well we're doing. In fact, I found it difficult to have any enthusiasm for yesterday's game.

Same as, Torchie. I have had no enthusiasm at all for this up coming season. All I feel is that things are going to get worse rather than better unless there is a miracal in the nest couple of weeks.

im not going, no longer going to games at the ricoh either or any away cup games until sisu have gone. breaks my heart to say that and break my 19 year season ticket run.

but as for sixfields, if tickets are cheap enough then plenty of locals i can imagine would go and see league 1 football...... but hope im wrong on that

We have to stand strong, my view s no one should go, not one person.
The FL would revert these decision if no one went, Fisher has convinced them they will get 3/4k and he will bribe anyone to o.
All these people who go to Northampton are doing is help fund SISU and making sure we never return.

I'm praying for one, Hugh, so you never know. Maybe Hoff and ACL can pull something out of the bag between them.

Then fisher will have called it and the majority of fans would go, would say about 6-8k will go.

Not sure Northampton holds 8k - if there is a decent away following, police will want the usual safety gap and I thought I'd read capacity was down a bit due to some maintenance stuff (but it could be the hot weather that's got me befuddled!). Anyway, Wolves,Sheff Utd aside can't see it getting anywhere that number, unless Tim sees the numbers are so low that he tries to shift City fans into the 'away fans' area and tries to flog as many away tickets in the home areas (particularly Wolves etc). That really would be the final insult - racking off the few who do actually follow him there (and I'm not knocking them, although I won't go - away games only):blue:

I won't set foot in sixfields

Just keep talking fisher all you do is alienate more fans and strengthen the resolve not to go.

It will not matter in the slightest if we are winning the league by 20 games to go with 4 games left I will not go..............not that that will be happening, relegation fight, mid table at best

I fully expect the gate figures to be rigged as happened at the Ricoh for some games last year, so expect figure of 5,000/ 6,000 including away fans true figure 1200 city fans plus away fans

What if we got promoted this season and next season and were 6th in the premier league only needing a point to secure european football at home to Villa?

Then I'll wake up and eat my breakfast

but surely by then we will be playing in a ground 'just outside Coventry'

Then Sisu would have proven that they have changed their minds about supporting a competitive football team, so therefore I would change my mind about Sisu. I am not holding my breath. Always supposing of course that we are in Coventry by then!

Same here.

Every time he speaks I end up liking Sisu a little less. There seems to be no compassion or understanding and his talk always seems quite bullish and often disrespectful.

Not even then. The team in Northampton will never be CCFC to me.

Big if but if after our first 5 matches we are unbeaten and top of the league, how many people will crack and got to Northampton?

I don't care if there top of the league and in the cup quarter finals. The first time we play at Northampton is the day I stop supporting this excuse for a football team.

Not bad enough that we are up to 5 years away but we are coming back to a inferior stadium.

No ambition, continued (and increased) debt, SISU and no chance of being anywhere other than L 1.

Go to Northampton . Good riddance

He's a posho who clearly sees football fans as working class scum, much like Cameron.

What a drip...

What happened to supporting your team through thick and thin...

I appreciate many people can't go to Northampton due to time and money considerations, and many many more won't go on principle, but the cry-baby attitude shown by many City fans is pathetic....

No doubt we are supporting City through thin and thinner at the moment, but you don't say 'good riddance' to them and pick them up again in 5 years time.

Except when it's in public. Then you always end up with penalties.

Oh please go down before I have to get off the bus, I'll try to think of Anne Widicombe until it passes.

Funnily enough, you never see them in the same room together do you?

Of course, it's Cameron in a fat suit. (having been beaten about the face)

Easy. It's not CCFC.
I supported CCFC from 1967 - 2013.
SISU Utd no thanks.
Some people would follow a lemming if it has a Ccfc shirt on .

Think you are missing the point to be fair. An awful lot of people believe that if we go to Northampton for 3 years + we will never ever return to the city.

Surely then the football club is no longer a Coventry club and the previous history will mean nothing.

I know the FL have said they won't allow another MK Dons scenario, but they have been so weak and lily livered and have already bent their own rules seemingly at will.

There is a very genuine fear that this could be the end of CCFC as a Coventry club.

Would you still wish to support them through thick and thin then I wonder?

Well yep.

Forgot about that. Wonder what the reduced capacity is supposed to be. Anyone know?

that's why we are in this mess, city fans should have made a stand years ago

I'm from Coventry but live in Lincoln, I've had a season ticket for the past 9 years and I will be making a stand and only going to away games and I might even go watch Lincoln play too fills my saterday afternoons! I will not return until sisu have left the club under any circumstances!

If the few idiots like you did not go then the FL would or probably review the decision, but all your doing is adding fuel to Fisher and what ever his plan is. We will ever come back, there will never be a new ground.

Itailialhorse, I think you sit on the fence to much:)

I'm with you on this, I'm not setting foot in any 'home' ground outside the city limits, and probably never anywhere while SISU are in charge.
