IF (?) agreement is reached and we're back at the Ricoh... (2 Viewers)

...what then?

The move to NTFC has united support in the City against SISU etc and rightly so.
Wrapped up within that is the drive to get shot of SISU 'Not one Penny More' etc etc etc.

Now I read shed-loads of folks chomping at the bit to buy season tickets IF IF IF Cov are back in COV despite the fact that by so doing we're lining the pockets of the very people we're trying to boot out?

Doesn't this smack of campaigning to save ourselves a bit of aggro & petrol £ rather than dealing with the root issue here?

I'm confused dot.com on this? - I'm keen to buy the new kit (if it's as advertised) - but why should I as the £ goes to Joy?

OR - is merely getting the team to play in Coventry mean that all is forgiven SISU and we 'move forward'?

Most important thing is keeping cov in cov. We'd look complete idiots after marching to keep cov at the Ricoh and then everyone boycotts the Ricoh. Getting sisu out can wait imho

It doesn't matter who owns the Club, they require money (customers/fans) to spend money (via tickets, programmes, shop etc.) so that they can pay the staff's wages and run the Club.
No guarantee's that any new owners would be any better or worse than the current ones?

This silly notion of the money we spend going into Tim or Joy's pocket has to stop. It doesn't, it goes into the very expensive running of our club.

How much did Sisu charge in interest on loans to the group of companies controlling CCFC, according to the last set of (published) accounts?
How much did Sisu charge in management fees to the group of companies controlling CCFC, according to the last set of (published) accounts?

Be bloody unlucky to get the most disrespectful, morally bankrupt, selfish, negligent, disorganised, ignorant owners in England twice in a row though, don't you think?

Personally, the three of us have decided not to renew if we are at Sixfields. However, we will renew like a shot if we are the Ricoh. I think the important thing is to stay in the city. Concentrate on the owners once that has been achieved.

The Trust's message is currently 'Keep Cov in Cov', not 'SISU Out!' so it seems they would be happy to at least be able to kick off at the Ricoh this season.

I know some won't go even if we do come back to the Ricoh, but that's up to them.

Then the Hoff was right about Sisu BS us all this time!
Amazing PR stunt by Sisu, to get more fans at the Ricoh by threatening to move away, case of you don't miss something until it's gone (threat of) ;)
As long as CCFC owners & Ricoh owners are the same, i'd be delighted!

Hopefully if Sisu stop spitting their dummy out and come back to Coventry, people will reward the good decision and turn their attention on those who bought out CCFC's ownership of the Ricoh; ACL/The Council. Sorry, but if the original plan had been stuck to and we owned the Ricoh, we would be in the premiership by now.
All the ticket money
All the food & drinks money
Rent from the surrounding shops & casino
Events money
The go-ahead to expand and put in for car parking & a train station

Think how much PROFIT the club would have made. All of this was in the original plan, until the council bought us out, rinsed the club for all the money it's got, and refused to sell to any potential new owners. Hate Sisu, but can't believe how the council have come out squeaky clean from all of this.

Hope we are at The Ricoh as we may go to a couple of games then; if we're not, there's zero chance of that. But there's no way we're committing to ST's again under SISU..no way are they getting away with the shit service, shit product and shit customer relations.

For me, simple, I will not be going to the Ricoh while SISU are in charge. I would be delighted if we do end up playing at the Ricoh this season but thats only half the battle. I was also at the march but I was one of a large number of people singing "We want Sisu out". What these people have done to our club is nothing short of disgusting season after season and now we are the laughing stock of the football league. I have said in other threads SISU are and were only ever after the Ricoh but it hasnt gone how they had hoped but in the process have trampled over all of us. On the day SISU took us over, take a look at that squad and tell me that with a little investment we would have not been challenging for promotion!!! Instead they sold the rug from underneath us to finance their debts. They never had any interest in CCFC at the beginning and they will not have any interest in us now.

Yep, can't argue with that. As I said each to their own. IMportant thing for me and my family is that they stay in Coventry. If they do, then we will continue to attend. If they move we won''t. Really is that simple for me. Appreciate that others feel different though.

Maybe the Trust need to change their message then?

You realise that without the council's help all those years before SISU even bought us the club wouldn't have even had the Ricoh to play at don't you?

And you also realise that for 4 years SISU were quite happy to pay the cost of the rent without ONCE questioning it, that was all until their piss poor backing of the team (shit managers & players brought in and quality sold) finally dragged us down to League 1 and then they started having a paddy saying they were being hard done by by that mean ACL?

Or are you just trolling?

I have never supported the NOPM campaign and have always said If my teams playing back in Coventry then Ill be there. If we are back at the Ricoh then I will be there. Ive said it before, if we get back there, do well, gain a couple of promotions then hatred towards SISU would decline anyway. First thing they have to do is get the team back at Coventry, then be proper owners and progress the club otherwise do one. Simple.

This reminds me of the battered wife with the "he's gonnas do right by me, he's bound to calm down and stop hitting me once the first couple of kids come along..." delusion.

Strange. It reminds me of a football fan who cares for his club and doesn't see the need to use disturbing metaphors to try and make his point.

IF we got to play at the Ricoh this season and SISU had some sort of share in the stadium it would give us a chance to start again.

I want SISU out of our club as much as anyone else. But it would give them a chance to prove to us fans that they want what we do. A successful club. It is in their interest to get us promoted. We would be only one step then from the Prem. That would make them a lot of money. They know that. They now know the fans will not just lie down and take whatever they do to our club. With just over 2 weeks to go to the new season they have sold less than 300 season tickets. Is this the lowest in the FL?

I don't have a problem with them making money out of owning us as long as it is done in the right way. Play at the Ricoh this season and they will average more than 10,000. If we do well this season it will be much higher. Get promotion and we should get more than 15,000. Do well and we should get close to 20,000. Get promotion again and they hit the jackpot. For this they would need to invest in the squad. If they do they deserve whatever they make out of our club.

I don't want them to own the ground outright. I don't trust them at the moment. But if it could legally be done that the ground stayed with the club whatever happens then something should be done. It should also be done where they pay a fair price and everyone is happy. Not trying to get it on the cheap and ripping off a charity and local council. But the price should not be too high either.

I just hope we get a chance to show SISU that we will back them as long as they back our club. I hope all parties will be able to trust each other. Forgive but not forget. But for this to happen they would have to change.

I don't mind that they have made a loss whilst owning our club. I also wouldn't mind if they make money on us as long as they don't treat us as though we don't matter. We are the biggest part of our club. I think they understand this now. I am sorry to say but you will see me at the Ricoh if we are there this season :D If they keep up with the stupid idea of Northampton it would only be away games for me......as long as I can get my ticket from elsewhere than through our club.

On the ST front, they are obviously cheaper as is in Northampton so if we moved back to the Ricoh would the club honour at the lower/current rate? Assumably they should as they brought the product at that time and price, unless they refund the total cost and say you have to purchase again?

Any thoughts?

Sisu and ACL should sell each other half of each others entity. Then they're stuck and from then on might actually start to work together.
