Do you really want the City to lose? (15 Viewers)

I have seen comments on here yesterday, by fans (for want of a better word) wanting our team to lose yesterday? Has it really come to this, I would suggest if you want my club to lose, well imo you are no longer a supporter so why are you posting on here - please do not come out with the BS that you have had enough we have all had enough, but still want our team to win, I think its a disgrace if you want to see OUR team lose - EVER.

Its not our team anymore, thats the point. We post on here to a) air our frustration that our club has been taken away and b) to debate the likelihood of us ever getting it back.

I actually want us to lose because that has to quicken up the end to this nightmare and maybe I will get my club back again.

I was indifferent yesterday.

It mattered to me about as much as Northampton town's result.

I'm guessing people realistically don't want the club to lose, but firstly expect relegation (easier to accept if you say I wanted them to lose) and secondly pure frustration and a way to let it out. People may also believe that the club losing will speed up the Otium/Sisu out process.

I don't want us to lose, but seeing the result yesterday I felt pretty much nothing.

Normally it would have saddened me and pretty much ruined my weekend.

No, I don't want us to lose, and I won't lie, I was pretty happy the equaliser went in and a little disappointed when we conceded straight after.

But, like others, I feel a sense of disconnection between myself and the club. It doesn't feel like the Coventry City I grew up following, clinging onto the thirty second spots we would get on the Premier League highlights on a Monday night.

Normally I would storm to bed after the match feeling quite angry. Last night I just didn't really care that much.

whether you want them to loose or not doesn't really matter as chances are they will.

i suspect when people say they want them to loose they don't really mean it, its a defence mechanism to stem further disappointment.

It's still my club too, but it feels like a close relative who has moved abroad.

My brother went to live in the States about 15 years ago, and though I thought of him quite often the regular link between us had become broken and he was no longer part of my daily life.

I'd say slightly different to that. Your brother (from what youve said) didn't do anything wrong. Ccfc have.

Years of loyalty spent supporting that club have been thrown back in my face, and that is something I cannot easily forgive.

Simple fact is that the less successful we are and the more money the club lose the quicker we get rid of Sisu. Baffles me that people are so focused on the short-term when the long-term is so much more important.

I couldn't believe the amount of fans up in arms about the points deduction, something largely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The issue is the fact that our owners have made a decision to move Coventry City out of Coventry - getting rid of the owners by starving them out is what we should be concentrating on!

I can understand fans feeling apathetic about results, but don't see why they would actually want them to lose.

I would like to think that no one actually wanted us to loose yesterday but at the game i did feel a little apathy amongst the fans. The referee did not help and I think going two down every one just needed an excuse to vent there anger.
Overall and under our circumstances I thought the support yesterday was magnificent.
Next week will be our biggest test and its how ad what we do next week that matters.

You seem to be confusing this club you blindly say you support with our club Coventry City, who are from Coventry and play in Coventry. Enjoy yourself with SISU FC and maybe you could start a new forum for your new club.

lots on this thread and others are wanting our club to lose - makes me feel physically sick - we are ALL to a man and woman fed up, but surely our lads don't deserve this bollocks, do they?

Lose, win or draw, couldn't care, it's not important. Unfortunately we have bigger fish to fry than football matches.
Getting MY CLUB back in COVENTRY, not in 5 years, NOW. Also need to get rid of TINY TIM and his mates at which point we can start again and at which point I will kick every ball with the team And where winning then becomes the single most important thing.

OK so agin lets say you get SISU out, what then?

Someone else will come in.

Who? will they come in quick enough for us to complete our next fixture, to pay the wages of playing and non paling staff, to pay Northampton their rent? or will we just go out of business...? is it not a better idea we support the club until a new buyer is found, then we might just have something to sell, all I can see is us going out of business, the saying "biting your nose off to spite your face" comes to mind...

I would expect at the very least 20k at the Ricoh kicking every ball with the team and hopefully winning football matches. Unfortunately we cannot look that far ahead while we are in this shit.

We are in the shit, no doubt but not supporting the lads (kids) will not help anyone, we need to do just enough to keep the club alive, so hopefully a buyer comes in and rids us of these fucking cretins...I believe the NOPM campaign will quicken our demise, therefore I am against it.

Yep, well that is true.

There wasn't any sense of anger when my brother went. There is now with this Northampton thing.
