Do you really want the City to lose? (15 Viewers)

Who? will they come in quick enough for us to complete our next fixture, to pay the wages of playing and non paling staff, to pay Northampton their rent? or will we just go out of business...? is it not a better idea we support the club until a new buyer is found, then we might just have something to sell, all I can see is us going out of business, the saying "biting your nose off to spite your face" comes to mind...

Who? Please don't start the whole "there's no one else out there" line as we know that is now false.

Multiple people have tried to buy the club in the last few years and sisu have refused to yield.

The only thing left to do now is force them out.

Anyway, your over analysing this, if you know something is wrong then you don't support it, its as simple as that. If I went to Northampton then I would be a hypocrite.

Let me ask you one thing, if we all travel to sixfields, and Ccfc becomes profitable, what incentive is there for them to return to our fair city?

If you want us to lose, then your a c**t. Simple as. I was gutted when Crawley scored their third.

No because they are Aston Villa!

And you wouldn't support Villa because they are not from Coventry so where does that leave you with SISU FC?

Don't get me wrong I did not actually want the team to lose as despite my anger I cheered when we scored, but face facts our club is gone and has been stolen and the only way to get it back is either to stand up to this SISU scum and starve them out or start again IN Coventry.

Just because you say it lots of times and some may agree with you...it does not make it true Coventry City are Coventry City, this SISU FC you talk of only exists in yours and some others minds...

Sorry mate, obliviously did not mean any disrespect...

I hate it when things like that happen.

I once misheard someone I was talking to, so did that polite thing where you just laugh, I realised then they were actually telling me their grandad had died.

Not at all.

Very sad of course and still hurts to this day, but this is a football forum and people are always trying to have a lark and people don't always know your personal circumstances. No offence taken at all.:)

Dear Deluded,

Wake up and smell the roses. SISU have destroyed any playing squad strength we may have had over 6 years of chaotic mismanagement, additionally they have not only run the club at huge losses they have been taking huge fees for doing so, thus increasing the alleged debt dramatically. If you want to jump on that bandwagon just be careful it's not a massive train crash, as you will be contributing to the theft of Coventry City from the people of Coventry.

It's up to you, but don't come whining on here when they have finished their destruction.

Do i want to see City lose urm no, would i go and watch them win urm no. The fact is every home game anyone goes to about 50% of your money is going to Northampton so you are a Coventry Fan (Fanatic) but a northampton supporter!

i recall many years ago, the works reception walking in to work one morning. She was usually quite bright and breezy, but one day she came into the office looking really glum and with a stern look on her.

Some supervisor asked bluntly, 'What's the matter with your face this morning, you misery guts?'

The reply came back, 'My uncle's just died.' She then burst into tears and the supervisor just walked off with his tail between his legs.

OK let me try and address your points

1. Who Hoffman, Haskell, Byng, Dhinsa....? all they wanted was to get us on the cheap, we have been down that road with SISU - if they really wanted us all they had to do was stump up £30 million...oops that means investing some money doesn't it.

2. Force them out and kill the club, so the above can ride in buy it for next to nothing, get The Ricoh and the land...do you think that would be good for our club? and secondly do you think SISU would let that happen?

3. If you don't want to support then fine, I no issues with that at all, but to come here spreading your anti CCFC propaganda that has no place on a SUPPORTERS site, NOPM will cripple the club NOT SISU, please understand this, all they will do is sell players, and cut budgets, we may not like it but we need to support our team, you don't have to go to Northampton to do this - everyone is on an edge, this is a time for fans to united and support, not to be divided.

Deluded - thanks, i have been called a lot worse.

And starving our paymasters of cash will do what exactly, I am still waiting for the next step of the plan, after we have starved SISU out...please enlighten me.

I am just reading back my posts and don't want to get embrolled in the NOPM/SISU debate, as this is not what the thread is about...its about so called Coventry City Fans wanting the team to lose, unforgivable.

I'll agree with this part of your statement.

The fans really do need to stand united, now as the vast majority won't go to Sixfields, don't support SISU & do believe NOPM will starve them out eventually, Then I suggest the minority join the majority

1. All those parties offered what the club is worth, not what sisu want.

2. I don't understand what you mean by "kill the club"? If you mean another administration that sees the back of sisu then yes I think that would be brilliant for the club. Whether sisu let that happen is the key question.

3. I have not spread any anti Ccfc properganda. Sisu sell all the players anyway so what's the difference? Also if your agreeing that you don't have to go to Northampton then what are we arguing about?

You missed my other point as well. If we financially support this move then why would sisu move back to Coventry?

I will go to Sixfields to support the team not the owners, I don't support SISU & NOPM is pointless anti Coventry campaign that will destroy the Club, I will not support this - EVER.

Unfortunately the above statement will get me lots of grief from the keyboard warrior types on here, but I am past caring...tbh, I respect your choices, but I don't have to agree with them.

For me it's more a case of not carin either way. I won't care until we are back in Coventry. I will check the results, etc but the results are secondary at the moment.

It's a weird feeling not going into the season excited. Feel like I have nothing to look forward to each week and this is why I may be in support of a new club if there is no resolution in sight.

1. What did they offer? I would love to know?
2. SISU would just appoint Appleton again, or they would just kill us off.
3. I will go to Northampton, but others don't have too
4. Because they have told the league they will and have posted a £1 million bond - its easy to say they wont come back, but we have no other option to beleve them at this moment.

I would like to think we are debating with not arguing :D

Its pretty simple really. If enough people financially support this move then Ccfc will never play in the Coventry area again.

Ask yourself if that is what you want for our club? I also suggest you reevaluate what you consider best or ccfc

Coventry City were a club/team I loved for the best part of 50 years, I was totally indifferent to the score yesterday, didnt want them to lose, which would have been spiteful but didnt give a toss about the outcome. My time on here will soon be at an end and I will invest my time, money and endeavors to support a team that truly represents the city of Coventry which no longer is CCFC.

And this is based on what, some comments on here or evidence you have unearthed, or does it just suit your argument to say it, although you have no proof to back this statement what so ever...if anything SISU have more proof to say they will return to the City, compared to your argument that they will not!

1. We don't know or sure, but my vague memory suggests it was £1 plus a portion of the debt. Either way it was more than the club is/was worth (around -£70m).

2. Your assuming sisu wold want the club back, we need to get to a point where they don't.

3. Well that's your decision. I don't doubt your loyalty to ccfc, and I commend you for it. I just think your going about it the wrong way. What happened to giving the team support for the 23 away games?

4. £1m is nothing. Basically if sisu are willing to lose that then they can stay in Northampton as long as they want.

Look at it logically. Sisu only care about money. If you owned a profitable business in Northampton why would you invest upwards of £30m in building a new stadium 35 miles away?

By going to sixfields, unfortunately you are supporting the owners.

bigfatronssba;510598 1. We don't know or sure said:
Points 1, 2 are assumptions by you or others, I will not stop supporting my team on assumptions.

3. I am not over loyal, just doing what I have done over the years, I will not be at every home or away game (or away or away game) I will support them as the team not the club or owners...when I first fell in love with city, it was because of the likes of Wallace, Ferguson and Hutchinson NOT the board, its hard for me to cut this from my life and I wont, not because of a few slimey suits that will at some point be gone, but ill remember these tough years hopefully with fondness one day...

I was at Crawley yesterday and really wanted my team to win.
Jumping up and down when we drew level like we had just got promotion.

However in the back of my mind is SISU and their stupid plan.
In addition we have Seppala saying they will only come back when we get it back with no discussions on price.

It was like waiting for a death whilst on holiday.

The death happens for me whilst 'home' is outside Coventry and to be honest I may even want CCFC to loose once that happens.

Because the league have said they will not allow it.

League rules state they wouldn't allow what has already happened.

I think sisu are more reliable than the league, and that's saying something!

Each to their own. It seems to me that certain posters will sit back and let others do the sacrificing(NOPM etc) They will go to "Home games" and watch a team kitted in Sky Blue win, lose or draw. They will travel 70 miles round trip in doing so. Meanwhile The "Stay away fans" (Me being one of them) will fight for the right of Coventry City FC. playing IN THE CITY OF COVENTRY. It smacks of a mass school v school fight Our school wins the fight and it's "Look at us WE won....We lose the fight and it becomes(The ones who go to Northampton) Pftt nothing to do with me, I wasn't involved with it. THAT..is what it looks like to the ones who TRY to make a difference!!!
