Why because they are purely interested in watching their football team and don't ejaculate when someone mentions Preston County Council?

I have never been to a city game where there have been floodlight failure. From memory.what the Northern juice drinker is probably referring to is late or held back kick offs which have resulted in us not being relegated. City v Bristol is one famous one and Tottingham away is another. The guy has had too many shandy's

We can't agree I amongst ourselves, wrt what has happened and what we should do about it, so we can hardly expect fans of other teams to have a 100% unified view of our mess!

Wouldn't worry about a couple of people having different views....we can always send them Grendel, if they need a good argument........

I think the fact that fans from other teams have come on and given us their best wishes shows that that not all football fans would be glad to see us slide down the league. I'm sure I've seen threads from Soton, Pompey, Rangers fans...in fact, thinking about it, probably clubs who've been in similar situations.

We might not have the best reputation but what we're going through will no doubt make us more sympathetic to other clubs in the future who might have the mis-fortune to go through what we are now.

Expect Sunderland.

I think most fans, with a reasonable mindset, will sympathise with our plight. Best ignore the Preston two, they are more an exception than a rule.

Sunderland apart, of course. Although, even they will have humans amongst them.

If the villa, or Leicester were in this mess, we would have a mixed bag of views, surely?

Decent post and after I typed Sunderland, I did think about the likes of Leicester, Villa etc and do you know what, rivalry is healthy so I wouldn't want such clubs to go to the wall. Rivalry, local or not, is one of the reasons why football can be so enthralling.
