Must be desperate full spread in Tele (11 Viewers)

Do not understand there marketing strategy as a full page in the telegraph costs a fortune but they could not pick up the phone to me and colleagues who for 4 years at the Ricoh had a 12 seat hospitality box and for the rest Premier seats and spent a fortune with all the add on's etc - would not go anyway but that is besides the point never got asked

How do you know it costs a fortune? Depends on a number of factors. Ads pre booked well in advance are expensive. However, if there is vacant spaces the telegraph team will ring companies and offer special deals. It could cost less than a £1,000.

In truth they should do a lot more awareness type marketing.

Missed a trick on game one as well. Knowing the scale of concern at moving if have offered every season ticket holder a free seat for the game (assuming league rules allow) and then tried to target cheap deals off it. Given the game was exciting it would have been worth it.

I am not an angry sort of person but this is all making me feel very pissed off.

Lets get to Northampton and show these wankers how we feel.

SISU OUT NOW

I hope the Telegraph got payment up front for the advert!

Why? Other than a ridiculous rent agreement what else do they not pay? Perhaps your getting confused with the prior owners including Mr Coventry?

Did any (former) ST holders get any kind of 'please come see us in Northampton mate' correspondence from the club? I got the emails last season about hospitality boxes for every game and that kind of thing so they've got the right email, but sweet FA about renewing or returning.
I had an answer phone message which I couldn't be arsed to reply to.

Yep desperate.
Nope people won't just casually drift to Sixfields, things are way past that
Grendel believes 'contacts are for breaking' so I'd make sure you get any money upfront from him as well as Sisu.

NOPM.

I'm sure you are a marketing expert. I've worked in the field for many years but ill now to your superior knowledge - its desperate. As indeed was the full page spread by BMW in the telegraph last week. Those German boys are going under.

Hope you take this in the tone it's intended (my wife was in marketing too in a previous life):

I agree though, taking out an advert is hardly a sign of desperation.

Does anyone know if they're doing the same in the Northampton local rag?

Desperate, it's called advertising, it's a way of generating business, any business will advertise.

I see Microsoft are advertising on the Telly they must be desperate!

Got to agree me and my Bro have had season tickets from Highfield road days not a peep from the club still we wouldn't have gone ether but a standard e=mail to all supporters on the system would have been free

You can't compare BMW and Microsoft with CCFC, they are fighting for a piece of the market up against competition such as Apple, Samsung, Audi and Mercedes.

Are we trying to woo customers from Nuneaton, Bedworth or Rugby?, no I don't think so, it might not be an act of desperation but they are running out of ideas.

Once they get it out of their heads that football is not like any other consumer product then they might fook off!

At the end of the day all I'm saying is they have never bothered before used to have it on the radio and that was probably free as it advertised their own show.

If you want to play in Northampton then put it in the ad all this stealth just puts fuel on the fire IMHO

You are getting Tier One advertising and Tier Three advertising totally confused I'm afraid. At Tier 3 level we are identical to BMW, Mercedes etc.

Like I said before, for any business whether it be Mercedes, Coventry City or Playboy, they all have one business practice in common, advertising. CCFC shouldn't have waited this long to advertise but they haven't been in a place to advertise since about three weeks ago. Are they desperate? Hard to tell, is it normal business practice? Yes

They used to advertise the games in the Telegraph, didn't they? I'm sure I remember there being adverts about the forthcoming weekend game.

It's not like CCFC don't advertise, yes they haven't done anything out of their own domain in the last few years, but I get countless E-Mails, there are loads advertisement's on there website and on Social Media, however this will only be seen by a certain group of the public, CCFC should have advertised for ST in the close season but couldn't do that..

With all this tiers shite you must know a bit about advertising, how many extra people would you expect to attend Sixfields purely on the basis of this advert.

I haven't seen the ad itself but does it offer some mad deals?

I haven't had any E-mails and as for the CCFC site I have got to be honest haven't been on there once since all this shit started.

As for they couldn't do it that is a lame excuse for we are not letting you know anything till it happens same old Sisu we have a sponsor in place will let you know in 10 days we have 3 parcels of land will be telling you in 3 weeks. AND who where we still know nothing as we don't matter to them.
and people say they have changed we should give them another chance WHAT HAS CHANGED?

Actually sales of the Microsoft Surface have been so abysmal that they've written down nearly a billion dollars related to just the RT version of the product. A billion is a lot even for a company of that size, but made even worse as this was more than they sold of both the RT and the Pro and have had to slash the prices in an attempt to move some of the RT's.

They're still not on the ropes though, even with that fiasco and Windows 8.

So when we were in Pre Season before the CVA Rejection you would have had CCFC put an Ad in the CT saying "Buy Season Tickets for Coventry City FC 2013/14, Fuck knows where we'll be playing or for how long, but you can bet you get your pound's worth!! Apply now for Early Bird sales to The Cupboard, In the Changing Rooms, Coventry FC Training Ground, Leamington Road, Coventry, Warwickshire, CV8 3FL"

I got a Surface the other day through work, thanks to Microsoft shitting their pants and lowering the price. Keyboard cover that'd normally go for £100 too!

I'm saying they knew where they were going to play they had no intention of playing at the Ricoh so YES they could have sold the tickets from anywhere we were told at the forum that they would have a shop within 3 weeks they took months to secure a room in an office block that no one can find that was their decision,

No they've got a dominant market position in everything but mobile devices and unless we all stop buying products with Microsoft OS pre-installed then they'll do okay. Can't see a shift over to Linux from your average computer users, although Apple might take a larger bit out of the laptop sales.

Sit down with a nice cup of tea and think about it for a minute: they haven't bothered doing this kind of advertising ever before, gates are much lower than Fisher expected, now they have paid for an advert. Why did they do that? :thinking about: Could it maybe possibly be because they are desperate? Uh-huh!!!!!!!!
