What do you think of Rotherham fans who went to Sheffield? Or Brighton fans who went to Gillingham?

Given my understanding of their situation (not the same as ours, nor the same concerns) I applaud them in the same way that I applaud Carl Froch for beating people up - whilst despising the idiot that gets drunk & beats up the nearest easy looking target on a weekend.

Seems strange to financially support something you feel strongly against.

You appear a passionate chap. I assume you wholeheartedly supported Ann Lucas when she stopped going out of principle, and roundly condemned Boothroyd for saying she'd be sneaking in in disguise once we were winning.

Anyway, there are many alternative ways to be against something then not going. You don't want to go? Fine. But baiting from both sides is immensely tedious and serves no purpose whatsoever... especially when coupled with bad economics.

Well... their rental dispute with Millmoor floundered on the landlords' use of the club's masseur.

So you think we have a daft impasse...!

That analogy actually stands up, which is a rarity for this site.

I agree, we are on dodgy ground if we start making comparisons with Rotherham and Brighton. Taken at face value you might say there were similarities, but in truth they were very different.

No cheap shot intended Steveo....just confirming my beliefs.....as DazzleTommyDazzle points out on a regular basis....away games are a great way to support your team without supporting the club owners. I would do the same if I had the chance. So there is a choice.

I respected her right not to go, but I didn't agree with her.

We all have to take responsibility for our actions. Those that don't go (I include myself in that) must accept that at some point the quality of the team will suffer due to low crowds. Those that do go are condoning the move by supporting it.

They are, and I think it's a fine way for those who don't want to go to northampton to show their support, personally.

What a shame that so many people in Coventry actually didn't bother going to the Ricoh. Our hardcore of fans has dwindling to 8-10k for lots of reasons.I don't live in Coventry but travelled 120 mile round trip as a season ticket holder and that is not uncommon with many city fans. The amount of times I've spoken to mates in Coventry about meeting up at a game only to get a multitude of excuses, sorry mate I'm in the pub watching the sky game etc etc.Not many of my mates mentioned sisu as the reason for not going but they simply couldn't be arsed.

You're killing it by not going. The players need support,we have a bloody good side

Surely if they are doing well and there is virtually no support - it kind of disproves this theory - FUCKWIT!

You say mates, but clearly they aren't that great mates, as if they were surely they would go out of their way to meet up! I'd suspect it is more of an excuse to avoid you than the match!

Not mocking you just saying that you're missing out.Best entertainment since Eric Black days

That's exactly what you are doing or why mention it in the first place, we might be missing great entertainment but I would rather that than go to bed at night being a man without the principles to stand against what is right and wrong, staying away is frigging killing me but 'I will carry on....will it work I hope so, this bullshit has caused mates to fall out with each other so snide comments like yours really piss me off. Go and watch them, enjoy your Sunday afternoon with the feeble I am going to support the lads bollocks, if your so weak that you cant go without then fine....but don't try and mug people of with shit like you are. Being brazen about going doesn't make you a hero, I would rather not have you stood next to me in the trenches...I would worry that you would be on your toes when the going got tough.

It would appear that most city fans aren't bothering with sixfields either. When sisu came in we were averaging over 20k a game now its down to 2k. I wonder why?

Well, I'm aware that I'm missing out on some great entertainment.

Couldn't you read a message that you're missing out on some great entertainment as a wistful lament that it's a shame the club isn't in its rightful place, so more can see it?

That type of approach would be more helpful, dare I say constructive - from both sides of the debate.

Nopm is an ideal excuse for those who can't be arsed.

You know what your right. I can't be arsed.

I can't be arsed to travel 3 hours extra each fortnight and miss putting my daughter to bed. I can't be arsed handing good money over to an organisation that refuses to listen to its customers out of pigheadedness. I can't be arsed to further support big business taking the game I love away from its origins for no reason other than profit. I can't be arsed to go and support players who earn ten times what I'll ever earn who forced this move through continual wage demands and who will all be gone, including the manager by the time my club is back home. And most of all I can't be arsed to subject my daughter to an addiction to a bunch of arseholes who would do the same to her.

The fact is. It's not my job to keep me arsed, its the club's and they've shown me quite clearly they couldn't give a fuck whether I turn up or not.

You aint half missing some entertainment.

Hopefully the entertainment will continue at the real away games so some of us can still get our Saturday fix - irrelevant of all the politics quite happy to go to just the away games as Sunday afternoons and Wednesday and Thursday nights are pathetic and awkward times for what should be enjoyment - Sunday at the Ricoh once a season is okay but every other week in another town no thanks as you cannot even have a decent drink which is a big part of me and my mates football day out as work in the morning - Thursday 23rd of January for instance Carlisle at Sixfields on a cold winters night will probably see relegated Carlisle muster about half a coach full maybe 20 souls and down in our history as the lowest crowd ever to watch Cov do not call any of this entertainment

Hang on. So you're saying you didn't go to the game and you're trolling?

Do you even understand how trolling works?

Hint: its not trolling if you actually believe it.

Does anybody even Internet any more?

Any proof of that if the crowds were even lower we would be back in coventry?

That's a tedious response Nick.
Like 95% of forum based posts its an opinion.
Sadly we have no data.
Other than
Worst owners in ccfc history:
League position, financial position and not playing in coventry destroys any credible sisu plaudits argument to the contrary.

I've met a few, heard a few on phone-ins and theferrett said that those he talked to inside the ground blamed the council and not our owners in the row (so supported their view in the most literal sense).

So its fair to assume some support the owners.

Now if you don't support the owners in moving to Sixfields but go anyway then I think its a fair claim to say you are weak as you are not following your beliefs. I don't think there's anything particularly controversial about that statement.

Why is it tedious? People keep justifying nopm etc by saying if nobody went we would be straight back in coventry as of it is a fact, this is coming from trust people as well but where had it come from?
