You can not support something, but think there is a different way to affect the outcome. Among many arguments there's a perfectly reasonable economic argument to be made that going, and keeping the club alive so it's in a position to move back is one reason to go, and that's not supporting the club being in Northampton.

I'm not saying all who go are weak. Just that if you are vehemently against the owners decision to move yet you still go you are.

There's a significant minority who don't have a problem and think the council forced all this. They are not weak to go, they are standing by their views. There are others who don't give a fuck and just want to support their club. They are not weak to go.

Those go claim they hate Sisu and the move to Sixfields, but go because "I can't miss it" are weak.

Just to inform you, the owners of ccfc have no interest in the football club. They thought they would be able to get the Ricoh relatively cheap if they owned ccfc. That is how they intended in making there money back. But now there tactics have gone wrong they think they can starve the Ricoh and buy it then.

This is proven by the fact that with all the revenue they are missing out on in terms of just tickets, they could have played at the Ricoh payed the 1.2 million a year rent and had cash to spare.

This is why I refuse to pay to watch my team away from coventry. There is no need for it. We could play in coventry and be better off. If they wanted to build a stadium they could have had a five year lease at the Ricoh and built it. But all there trying to do is starve the Ricoh.

Just look how fisher talks, do you think he cares about you having to travel to a shithole of a ground. I very much doubt it.

I spoke to someone who went to sixfields last game. He regrets going......he did not say anything other than shake his head and said he did a terrible thing.

If that Sixfields place is going to be a success it will need more than 1 visit from people.

Those who go there will follow this team anywhere. Trouble is the legacy and identity no longer rests with the people of Coventry as it should.

At home we would now still have fickle fans. They may not be prepared to walk up on match days when the team is playing bad. I am not sure the crowds would be significantly up on last season because fans were punch drunk. But if this on the field success continued then I am sure the fans would come back. The caveat is that SISU will still be there. That is likely to have the biggest influence on any large group of returning fans.

This Thread just goes to show the passion we all have for this club.
Just a shame we can't all agree in the way to go forward except slag each other off, I know this is a bit hypocritical coming from me but I too have this passion.

The anti frackers have brought London to a standstill hundreds of them blocking the roads a multi million pound company has stopped working to try and bring a resolve to the situation.

So were all of the protesters arrested for doing what they believed is right? did they argue on what coarse of action to take.

If we could do something similar then the news would go global and really hurt sisu as a business they would then have to take stock of what they are doing.

This sort of thread is only gonna cause friction between us when, really, we should unite behind the fact that we're all missing our club being in our city.

I've been to Sixfields and will go when I can but I respect that people feel that they can't go, even if I may disagree with some of their reasons for drawing that conclusion.

It's a shame that everyone can't watch these brilliant performances together, in our home city, but it doesn't make those that choose to go better than those that won't, the same as it doesn't make those that won't go better than those that choose to.

I've been unable to get to matches on a regular basis for a number of years now due to working on a weekend and supported the team/club financially by buying merchandise for relatives and the odd ticket for a match when I could go. That amounted to about £200 or so a year that the club are not now getting thanks to NOPM. I've supported the Sky Blues for almost 40 years and during that time we've never been homeless until now. We've never played our home matches outside the city and I've never despised an owner of the club more than I do SISU.

Why is it tedious? People keep justifying nopm etc by saying if nobody went we would be straight back in Coventry as of it is a fact, this is coming from trust people as well but where had it come from?

I don't think it is by any means guaranteed we'd be back in the city if no one went, but I can see SISU having to pump more money into the club as a result. We haven't reached the bottom of Tims lower estimate for attendance at Sixfields, although that may have been for the figure after 3 'home' games. I got the feeling from Tims answers at the forum/Trust Q&A/G Clarke interview that whilst they may have the money to fund the club that they're doing so reluctantly (possibly because ACL haven't gone bust yet).

I may be wrong on this but it's always possible they're deeply unhappy with the gate figures they've achieved so far and are hoping for significantly better gates at matches later on in the season. If the lower estimate Tim had was for the first match and it was supposed to rise after that to his higher estimate then that's obviously not happening at the moment.

Why should I give any of my money to an owner of our club who has made us homeless for the first time in my lifetime and taken my club over thirty miles to Northampton in the third division? It's not an excuse it's a carefully thought through decision that I've (and others have) made.

SISU have clearly ignored all the messages that they've had from fans saying we don't want to see our club in Northampton. Marches, Protests, Surveys [just 24.5% said they were prepared to travel to Home games in an interestingly worded question] have all come to nowt so the only weapon left in the arsenal (pun not intended) is the financial one - NOPM.

You appear to be under the misconception that Sisu give a flying fuck about the fans opinions.

So what you are saying is we should all try to decide which route we should take and then keep to it......even if it don't match our thoughts? Should everything be done through the trust?

The best thing you can do is do what you think is right. If you want to go to games then go. If you don't want to then don't. Simple. Nobody knows what SISU's plans are. Good chance that Fisher doesn't either. That is why he has to take orders from Joy. I don't like the thought of starving our club of funds, but to me it is the best way of getting my point across. SISU are a hedge fund. They care about nothing but money. They never came to our club because they love it as much as we do.

Why do they need to own the Ricoh? If their plan was to own it then sell our club with the ground I would be behind them 100%. I am afraid of what their real plans are though. What would make them the most money? Sell our club cheap but keep the Ricoh? Charge a high rent? Just what happened to Leeds. If a legal document could be drawn up where the ground would go with the club whatever happens I would back it. But how would this work with going into admin yet again....or even liquidation? This seems to be a usual route for them. I am sorry but I have lost all faith in SISU. They have put somewhere between 20m and 30m into our club. Not a gift but as a debt. They will want this back plus a profit.

What I want the most is our club to have a home that they own. Until I see a way of the ground being owned by our club and not by someone after making money then I don't want it sold to them. I don't want it sold to someone nobody trusts. This is why I am behind ACL and not SISU. If they gave me a reason to start trusting them again I would have a rethink. This has not happened so far.

I doubt that owing our own ground will ever happen. Even if PROPERTY DEVELOPER (clues in the name) PH4 had been successful. What does he want most? A bottom of the table L1 outfit or the Ricoh and the surrounding opportunities?

I would imagine whoever eventually takes us over will own the ground (when we do return home), not the club.

This is where NOPM is a little misleading from my perspective (and i say it is from my perspective not fecking SISU's or fishers before the idiots start). I agree with the sentiment of 'bleeding SISU dry' so they will sell up but honestly do not think it will practically happen. SISU are a cut throat commercial organisation where dollar is everything, they will want to make a profit through this process and wont release the hold on our club so easily, getting us relegated isnt in their best interests, the fans and the club. If this happens they definately are not going anywhere.

The best outcome for us is to make CCFC a very attractive proposition by getting us back into the championship and back to the Ricoh/new ground where all revenue comes back to the club and not to another third party whether that be rent, food etc. This will be the only time they will look to sell our club to a buyer when they can make a profit (if profit is ever possible in football). Most people complain about people going to Northampton and calling them all the names under the sun (for the record Steve's comment at the start was clearly to provoke a reaction) but i think NOPM is hurting the long term alot more than people attending.

Of course there are two sides to the coin and i respect that but this is my viewpoint.
