Personally, I don't think that NOPM is helpful for the club or the team. But I don't think anyone really has enough evidence to predict how either action will turn out.

Why should I give any of my money to an owner of our club who has made us homeless for the first time in my lifetime and taken my club over thirty miles to Northampton in the third division? It's not an excuse it's a carefully thought through decision that I've (and others have) made.

SISU have clearly ignored all the messages that they've had from fans saying we don't want to see our club in Northampton. Marches, Protests, Surveys [just 24.5% said they were prepared to travel to Home games in an interestingly worded question] have all come to nowt so the only weapon left in the arsenal (pun not intended) is the financial one - NOPM.

You're only trying to justify it to yourself, hence beginning with a question.

I doubt that owing our own ground will ever happen. Even if PROPERTY DEVELOPER (clues in the name) PH4 had been successful. What does he want most? A bottom of the table L1 outfit or the Ricoh and the surrounding opportunities?

I would imagine whoever eventually takes us over will own the ground (when we do return home), not the club.

So why move from the Ricoh?

I actually agree with your analysis, which is why I'm so against this whole move. Well lose millions of pounds and thousands of fans to be back at square one.

This is where NOPM is a little misleading from my perspective (and i say it is from my perspective not fecking SISU's or fishers before the idiots start). I agree with the sentiment of 'bleeding SISU dry' so they will sell up but honestly do not think it will practically happen. SISU are a cut throat commercial organisation where dollar is everything, they will want to make a profit through this process and wont release the hold on our club so easily, getting us relegated isnt in their best interests, the fans and the club. If this happens they definately are not going anywhere.

The best outcome for us is to make CCFC a very attractive proposition by getting us back into the championship and back to the Ricoh/new ground where all revenue comes back to the club and not to another third party whether that be rent, food etc. This will be the only time they will look to sell our club to a buyer when they can make a profit (if profit is ever possible in football). Most people complain about people going to Northampton and calling them all the names under the sun (for the record Steve's comment at the start was clearly to provoke a reaction) but i think NOPM is hurting the long term alot more than people attending.

Of course there are two sides to the coin and i respect that but this is my viewpoint.

However, what it should do in my mind is set some at the FL questioning if all the crap Fisher sold them about the groundshare was true.

Also, remember Fisher thinks this is all a temporary temper tantrum and we'll all back the move after our little three game protest.

The fact that after two games Fishers tone has done a 180 and he's now talking about coming back in his programme notes, suggests to me that if NOPM carries on for another 2-3 games he'll soften even more.

The national media have no influence over the decision. It's down to both parties, but bizarrely, the idea of trying to hold the ACL / CCC to any sort of account flies over the head of all protesters.

No I wouldnt want to reconsider my previous points and would like you to answer a couple of questions. 1) Have you every seen Tim Fisher outside that building? 2) Do you think the office clerk watching you really cares? However i do hear that you saw our Joy yesterday and if you have a picture thats great. SISU would much rather you be outside their offices protesting than actually protesting at the FOOTBALL game. Easily ignorable outside SISU HQ. As ive suggested in previous threads and posts the most effective way to protest is at northampton in front of Fisher and preferably in fron of them sky cameras which are coming in October, Take the fight to the decision makers, not the tea makers and assistants. Hang on Ill look, wasn't concrete but for me was a definite softening of tone, though maybe I'm clutching at straws.

By the way, I didn't go to London, I personally don't think Sisu give a shit and will ignore anything we do. Me not spending my cash on them is a personal moral decision rather than in the hope of any action. I'm resigned to away only for the next 5 years.

However, your point was NOPM don't want to protest and just sit in their armchairs. I was merely pointing out that as the organisers of the most recent protest, not protesting isn't really something you can level at them.

The fact that the protest made it into a London paper (City AM) which is read by financial people might be a wake up call to some people who have money with SISU. There will be investors who would never read the sport pages and have no idea about the involvement of SISU with our club. It is generating negative publicity for SISU (closer to home than Northampton) which I suspect they would rather avoid.

As ive suggested in previous threads and posts the most effective way to protest is at northampton in front of Fisher and preferably in fron of them sky cameras which are coming in October, Take the fight to the decision makers, not the tea makers and assistants. No I'm not trying to justify anything to anyone - I made my mind up when it was confirmed that we'd be playing at Sixfields. I'm happy for someone to try and change my mind but it isn't going to happen whilst we're playing at Sixfields or any ground outside Coventry. There's a location based reason why we're called Coventry City Football Club.

I somehow doubt that the ticket revenue from 2000 fans is going to make much of a dent in the outgoings of the club, I may be wrong and happy to be corrected.

I can't be arsed to travel 3 hours extra each fortnight and miss putting my daughter to bed. I can't be arsed handing good money over to an organisation that refuses to listen to its customers out of pigheadedness. I can't be arsed to further support big business taking the game I love away from its origins for no reason other than profit. I can't be arsed to go and support players who earn ten times what I'll ever earn who forced this move through continual wage demands and who will all be gone, including the manager by the time my club is back home. Didn't have a pitch view room but a room with a kitchenette, washing machine, fridge and slightly bizarrely a bath in the room not the bathroom. Room was dead cheap too.
