Where are ACL? (15 Viewers)

ACL have been very quiet the last couple of months. Why are they not showing publicly that they are bothered about getting CCFC back? They could at least be in the press saying publicly they are still willing to talk, or better still, making a public offer to CCFC. All I ever see are sarcastic remarks from PWKH on here, which comes across a little unprofessional - particularly after the baloon incident. To be honest the lack of intent ACL are showing is making me think I may have been wrong about Sisu and I am honestly considering going to watch a game.

Maybe PWKH can clear this up and state once and for all that they would still want CCFC back. Why not make some kind of offer of renting the stadium with an option to buy, but with a certain portion of the annual rent paid taken off the purchase price so they don't see it as dead money (a bit like the rent to buy schemes you see these days). Surely there is some middle ground that can be reached.

It seems like a standoff.
ACL will not ask SISU back in fear of SISU taking it as weakness. Prefer to make SISU believe that they can manage without them.
SISU will not talk to ACL because ........... urrrrrrh .............. I don't really know.

Thats the problem, this may be that ties have been well and truly severed.

I agree both are to blame for this sham although I do lay a little more at the door of SISU still however nobody truly knows what has been said behind closed doors and maybe it really is a case of ACL not wanting us back with SISU as owners and visa versa. The reason why we are all at each others throats is because of the lack information from both sides, its as though we are the last to know anything and even then the whole truth yet we are the customers. If any other business treated its customers like this they would be gone in an instant.

TF has been very quiet recently, too. Perhaps the two sides are talking and have agreed to keep quiet about it. I can't imagine that this is true, but it would be nice if it was.

Hmm yes I don't think ACL are responsible for 20 point deduction, maybe this seasons deductions but takes 2 to tango!

Is the Judicial Review not casting a long shadow over all parties? Once concluded might we see another attempt to reconcile the differences? (assumes no another appeal)

Just remind me who we played on Sunday?
I'm not happy at this level !! Surely you have aspirations?
You can settle for beating some small town team but I want more than this.

I want to play in a Premier League Stadium, be on match of the day, and compete in the FA Cup.

It isn't going to happen after 5 years in Northampton and in a small stadium in Rugby.

But each to his own !!

To be fair to Sisu, even if I new I was ultimately to blame for the situation, if my landlord tried what ACL tried I wouldn't want any more to do with them.

I don't just mean taking them to court for missed payments, it was deciding they had the right to try to change the ownership of the club. Absolutely not their place to do so.

We all want us to be in the PL, but we can only live in the hear and now. If we ever get out of this crap, I don't want the club to ever be in this position again, which means we cant be reliant on some sugar daddy owner pissing money into the club adding shed loads of debt like we have now, just to get in the PL. it needs to be done the swansea way, not leicester spend £75m in 3 years still not promoted method. It's very unlikely we will ever be anything other than a PL yo-yo team at best.

When did ACL try to change ownership of the club? And assuming this can be substantiated was this any different to SISU's rent withdrawl distressing ACL?

Wining, dining and schmoozing with PHIV? It's clear they were hoping for a take over which imo Is one of the main reasons they put the club into administration.

Is that any different to a landlord interviewing a prospective tenant when the present incumbent has served notice to move on..?

And the answer to my second original question is?

Where is the evidence for that? Having said that I too would wish for new owners if I had anything to do with ACL or at least some owner that would stick to their word and pay their dues until they were re-negotiated.

The simple fact is that Shitzu have acted absolutely appallingly in this matter and cannot on any level be supported.

The answer to your second question is no, it's no different, but does that make it right for a public body and charity to do the same thing?

And it's not really like showing a new tenant around, IMO they were trying to support a hostile takeover, it's not the same as showing a concert promoter, rugby team around.

A hostile takeover, promoted by a rent withdrawl, that was a strategic policy to promote a firesale- Poetic.. almost a constructive hostile takeover then?

ACL – jointly owned by Coventry City Council and the Alan Higgs charity – has made the application to the High Court for administration over £1.3m in arrears, racked up after the club stopped paying rent, arguing they were being vastly overcharged. A judge is due to look at the case on Friday.

This could force out Mayfair-based hedge fund owner Sisu, which has ploughed more than £40m into the club and had hoped to acquire a stake in the Ricoh.

Potential American investors have been to the Ricoh Arena on two occasions, one being last week’s Colchester game, and understood to have been given a tour by ACL interim chief executive Jacky Isaac.

However, although ACL have seized the initiative to force a change of ownership, Sisu could turn the tables as the apparent end game plays out.

They have met with PHIV on numerous occasions since. And I'm sure sisu have complained about this in the JR.
