yeh so lots of different ways

we have a good manager, we can do it too.

If we get up next year we will not have enough finance to stay in the Championship.
The only solution for SISU and to give the fans what they want is to move back to the Ricoh.
The move back will happen but how long will your beloved SISU keep us away.

Yes but since 2000 we have been in decline. We are light years away from where we were and fans cannot accept teams like Swansea Blackpool and hull are bigger better and financially much more viable.

The need for a 32,000 stadium is folly - if we were still in highfiekd road would people be objecting its not big enough? No they wouldn't.

We have a 32000 stadium that will cost us less than running a new smaller stadium for at least 10 years. (including the pies)
Do the figures, understand what SISU are doing and make your peace while the humble pie is still in the oven.

If that is the case then a 7,000 stadium is too big as we can only get 2,000 in it. Or is it anything to do with our present owners as our gates have gone down since they took over. When they first took over we got higher gates at the Ricoh than would have fit into HR. This is why there was no problem with the rent. Going on average attendances 3 games would have paid a years rent.

You had a go at me for lacking "aspiration" for CCFC and now someone else.

We have to settle for the level we can afford. It's economics not lack of ambition or aspiration. None of us are happy being in L1, but we've never been a top flight "force" anyway.

Having a go at who ?
Someone said they were happy with SISU and the good football we were playing.

Just telling him that I am not happy at this level. Are you?
I will only stop 46 years of support as soon as plans for the L1 stadium are confirmed.
Once we settle for this level I'm out.

I think that Nick did a live stream demonstrating how to use the "quote" icon on Sopcast.

Surely you must have seen it? He did it on your private channel that shows wall to wall Coventry City appearances by Malaga, as shown exclusively to you.

Complicit?

Could do both at once.

I just don't get why everyone loves ACL so much. Yes, Sisu are quite possibly the worst owners ever to grace football but why is everyone giving ACL an easy ride? They have just as much to answer for and continue to be complicit in this whole mess.

Why? Because they won't give the stadium away?

Nick is over exagerating about 10 times....twice is how many times he contacted me about it, the first time was to bollock me for asking for help on another thread...the second time to ask me to try another browser which I told him I had done....nothing since. No further help other than a couple of posters trying to help. As for the "Sopcast and Malaga" I must be psychic, because I never went to the game yet watched it on the intertwat...."Very strange" eh!

And we won't get back there again in a piss-poor L1 ground, which is what they'll build if they build anything.

How did we get to this level again? Oh yeah that's right, those blinding owners of ours!

Italia is right: a lower league stadium condemns us to a life in the lower leagues. It permanently halves the club's potential, and therefore it's size. If we don't go back to The Ricoh, I won't support the club again.

I dont get this really. On one hand fisher is a liar and the stadium will never be built yet on the other we're all going to desert our club because this ground that will never be built isnt big enough for us.

Personally I'm going for Fisher is a liar and the stadium will never be built.

I can't believe what I read on here sometimes. "if we don't go back to the Ricoh, I won't support the club again". Are you for real. Who will you support then, team Ricoh, ACL fc. Couldn't really give a toss about the Ricoh, it means nothing to me without ccfc in there. As long as the move away is temporary I'll always support ccfc whatever kind of stadium we are in. Some of you lot have delusions of grandeur talking about where we should be. We are where we are.

Sometime I wonder if we have got exactly what we deserve. 12/18 months ago this forum was full of nut jobs moaning constantly about the Ricoh, on a saturday we have to endure that stupid take me home highfield rd chant, its history get over it & now people wont go unless we get back to Coventry to the Ricoh. Most of our support is 2 faced.
Sniff of Wembley and they all craw out from their rock & we could have sold Ricoh twice over for the Crewe game(slight exaggeration maybe) & remind me what the the attendance for the Crewe league game?

The catchment area we have should easily fill Ricoh but for years it has never got near doing that, at the minute a smaller stadium serves our needs but it must be able to be upgrade quickly as required.
This City/area will then only get the club it deserves, if no-one comes we have on-one else to blame.

At what point do you class a temporary move ?
So what if we get to say five years at sixfields and no sign of new stadium in Cov !!
What will you do continue to watch a so called Coventry team at Northampton or stop going ?

Forgive me if I'm wrong but did I spend nearly 40 years watching a team in the top flight?
I will never settle for anything less than getting to the top flight.
You settle for second best but I will never do that.

You are right though you will have to settle for the level SISU can afford.
Not for me though.

What makes matters worse is that if SISU can get over the fact there is no 'real' advantage in owning the stadium in the short term we are then set up with the stadium and maybe this manager to get where we belong.

As a matter of interest, did you see Coventry in the top flight ?
I can excuse your comments if you didn't.

You're probably correct in that it will never be built. My point is that the mythical Fisherdome will be vastly inferior to The Ricoh and not big enough for a club with ambition (and our potential). And it won't/can't be in Coventry anyway, which rules me out of ever going if it is ever built.

Pretty simple: he's probably lying, but if he's not, it's crap anyway.

SISU have a choice to make.

Move back to the Arena and continue on in our quest for PL status or build a stadium and condemn us to mid leagues for ever.
Fans are telling them now what they will do if they build the stadium in the hope that they take their majority view on board.

A small percentage of fans are making them think they have a plan whether backing them up on this board or just attending Sixfields.
All these fans are doing when attending is giving SISU leverage in their quest to get the stadium for next to nothing.

Still time to change your views before the humble pie comes out the oven.
