Nick, you're a puzzle to me. You go to all the trouble of creating this forum for CCFC fans and we all thank you for that.
Yet at every turn you show a total lack of passion for the club, it's all sitting on the fence, being objective, fair minded etc. etc. You pour scorn and cold water on most fan initiatives and clearly without any shadow of doubt show an amazing tolerance for us being in Northampton. You mock those on the hill. I'd give all of them a seat in the VIP box at the Ricoh when we go back. I'd ban the Sixfields lot. Truly they are the epitome of selfish, self centred people. Putting themselves before the club. In years to come true City fans will hardly believe there would be people who supported the rotten Sisu regime in another town.
We don't know RFC, wish him no bother, but his blind acceptance of our position in Northampton and allegiance to Sisu is like a broken record. He may as well wave a white hankie of surrender. I suspect he'd support the team if they moved to Hull.
There's no question that four home games in the boycott is having an impact.

Fair comment Spion. HAving a pop at those who feel the need to do more than just away (and of course there is nothing wrong with that) shouldn't be looked down upon. It may not be making any difference; who knows. But at least it has raised some awareness in the media at times.

If we do move back to the Ricoh is it going to be because of the people on the hill? I hope we do move back

maybe, maybe not. shitsu's rhetoric seems to be changing though. one thing for sure is that the deluded misguided paying fans entering sixfields are not helping a return but are helping shitsu justify the move.

Is that fact??? You are not
In a position to say that, they would never admit that the lack of support is the reason why they would talk, it shows weakness, as it would if they admitted that the protests where hurting them, your comment is not fact, keep up the protests and the nopm!! It has significance!!

oh, you have proof that the hillwalking is the reason then?? Do tell?

so your view is right and Nick's isn't?? Slightly ironic given the tone of your post eh??

What A total and utter lot of nonsense IMHO. I support the Manager & the Team and will be at Sixfields a week on Sunday PUSB!

Your choice, but your actions are why this is taking longer to sort out than it should.
If Sixfields were empty things would happen much quicker.

If any of you think that SISU don't care about the low attendances and protests then you really are deluded.

They don't have an endless supply of money. You have to remember what they are - an investment vehicle. They are accountable to their investors, who right now will be asking 'what the f***' is going on?

They can act as stubborn as they like, but they HATE this situation.

NOPM is working a treat - so stick it to them and don't be miserable, lazy, pride lacking little bitches.

PUSB - the fans are the club, not some hedge fund.

What absolute tosh. They are supporting the club and team in the way they feel best for them.

Nick; look back over RFC's posts over a number of threads and hopefully you will appreciate why he/she winds people up to the point where they respond as Italia did. I tried to engage in rational debate with RFC and got insults and wind ps in return. Wasn't looking to take this off topic.

Sorry, I hadn't seen the other posts. Could you report them if they are that bad?

How is trying to see every side not having passion for the club? Are the only fans with passion the ones who agree with you?

How long ago was it that kev monks won fan of the year and everybody was saying he is an amazing fan, now he goes to sixfields has he been disowned???

It is the so called fans who would rather see the club screwed over than the council lose any money? They think it is fine for acl.to charge us massive rent but if sisu did it, they would just be greedy.

It is fans like you causing a divide.

Who knows, when Joe Elliott is chairman he can give them all seats in the box???

in terms of fight to get Ccfc back in Cov you might as well forget the sixfields 1500. They have not shown anything in the sixfields matches to date that they are prepared to protest in any shape or form !!!
Oh sorry i forgot they did say fill the stadium, what sort of protest that is supposed to be god only knows ?
Anyway we will get to see all these so called true supporters on tv for the sheff utd game, i can't wait Im looking forward to a good laugh at them !!
The real fans will be at port vale today pusb !!!!!!!!!!!

There is a divide already. Those going to Sixfields and those not. We are not creating a divide.

We are 99.9% together against SISU plan to build a new stadium and 99.9% together on moving back to the Ricoh.

People will debate obviously on terms of moving back.

People 'one lining' saying SISU are great, I love the new stadium, I support the team and you don't etc just wind people up and RFC is in that category.

Don't mind him but don't complain when he gets some back.

When it all sorts out we can have fun reminding them. (or Vice Versa)

I only saw the reply to him saying he is backing the manager and players and then somebody call him a dickhead...

What can I do? I can't ban him for it, it is the same as some of the people who praise acl. Unless they are abusive there's not much I can do.

I know there is already a divide but why is it ok for spoinkop.and the others to say people are bitches, heartless and spineless for going to games but if one person says they are true fan because they go in they deserve to be jumped on?

If people want to go in then fair play to them, the same as if they want to stand on the hill or not bother at all.

Oh please. What a few of those going to Sixfields have said (not all, and I cannot speak for everybody) is that if people turned up there in numbers (people like yourself) it would be much easier to orchestrate large scale protests - the sort of stuff that would be reported in the media and raise the profile of our plight. It is an alternative suggestion to the boycott that some believe to be pointless (that's an opinion, you don't have to agree with it, but I happen to believe it), but equally I don't claim to be all-knowing and all-seeing and nobody knows for sure how effective the alternative suggestion might be, or indeed how much the boycott is hurting. My personal belief is that a boycott might work - eventually - but it might take a couple of years. That is too long in my opinion, which is why I believe we should look at alternatives and put pressure on all sides in a different way to bring about our desired aim more quickly.

I respect the position the majority have taken and understand the motives - but I just think it is misguided. I am not a super-fan, and neither are you, and for the record I suspect a good number of those who attend home games will also be a Vale today. We all support the club, but just have differing views as to how we achieve the thing we all want - the return of CCFC to Coventry as soon as possible.

A heavy reliance on the Port Vale chairman to reinforce the SISU position suddenly emerges?
Should we standby for a credibility argument from MK dons chairman to really cement the SISU position in the annals of sky blue history?

That view is short sighted, selfish and lacks any sort of loyalty to the City from which the football team originates from...and in the end it will cause the downfall of the very team you profess to support so much....you really couldnt be missing the point any further if you tried!!!!

The truth, it pains me to say, is that SISU have won this particular battle and are here for the medium term. The way forward is difficult but will probably involve SISU recouping some or probably most of thier investment before loosening their grip on the club. This will probably mean them gaining some degree of control of ACL and the Arena. The argument now must be about how much control and how to protect the future of the club and the Arena.

Well if spending money hand over fist to fund the team and rent at Sixfields whilst getting minimal revenue from our lowest gates in my lifetime and the lowest gate ever is a victory then a victory over who?

  • ACL because SISU are engaged in NOPM and ACL are receiving no money from matchdays?
  • The fans because mostly they don't want to travel to Northampton and some of those that do are engaged in NOPM against SISU?
  • The governing (and I use that word lightly) bodies because we pulled a fast one over them or got away with our mistakes?
  • A victory because SISU are still owners of a now thanks to them third tier football club who are no closer to owning their own ground than they were last season and less so than they were when we moved into the Ricoh?

If it is a victory then it's a pretty hollow and depressing one if you're a supporter.

He always makes a point of saying he will be at Sixfields as he knows it antagonises a great deal of posters on this forum.

A lot of people make a point of being on the hill? If people have an issue with him going into sixfields it is up to them?

SISU do not have an endless supply of money. They are just stubborn.

If they aren't back before Feb / March we should form a Phoenix club and take control back.

SISU have been extremely lucky that this team is performing like they are - it has kept people from being even angrier.

You talk of SISU as if they are a child going through a phase. No they don't have an endless supply of money but they do have an end game. What it is, I cannot fathom. None of this makes sense to me at all. Ego and bluff has/will ruin this club, from all quarters, including this self-rightous infighting from us fans who claim to sing together.

Without the actual end of CCFC, it's not a pheonix club its a replacement. When I sang City Til I Die, I meant it and had no replacements in mind. This is all a massive mess with just the one club in mind - why bring another into it?

Actually I believe people are more angry at the situation with the team playing so well. I am devastated that I can't watch the free flowing football and stack full of goals created by one of the most exciting young sides we've had. I can't get to Northants let alone other away games. I'm furious that this has meant my daughter and I have missed out on the season we have been waiting for for just under 15 years.

Whether you're in the ground, on the hill or otherwise - stop this ridiculous rampage of hate.
