negative for me.
Interview if it really happened read like a statement that js probably wrote and then emailed to the ct. !!!!
Allegedly proven in court to be a liar so the words were not worth the paper they were written on !!!!

Allegedly proven, isn't that an oxymoron?

Confirms for me she did ruin the last gasp chance of a rental agreement and the reason was that the rent and f & b was a smokescreen.

Also confirms she wants the Ricoh as she is continuing with the costly unwinable legal action. Why bother if you don't want the Ricoh.

If SISU denied she made the comments at that meeting then that also confirms for me that they are liars.

So overall positive as I am now convinced she has moved the club to Northampton in order to buy the Ricoh.

Slightly negative that the way this has been done I can't see the council ever selling

I agree with your 1st, 2nd and 3rd sentences. As for the 4th sentence, what if her attention has turned to sixfields with all the grant aid (council?) that redevelopment is likely to attract? :thinking about: Now there's a conspiracy theory!

I also agree with your las sentence - over, hell and freezing come to mind I think!

Sisu are near the end but you still support them simples !!!

And you reached that conclusion from the oxymoron comment?

I don't support SISU, but I do despise the elected representatives who have acted so shamefully during this whole mess - guilty as charged for that.

Only one proven guilty party according to the law of the land- SISU- failure to pay rent- JR review conclusion.

Negative for me, was hoping for more really. A business case for SISUs plans or even some bombshell against the council, with evidence of course, that would change things but it all seems a bit same old same old.

Most disappointing is that there seems no chance of a return with SISU being handed the Ricoh. To me this once again says SISU have been somewhat economical with the truth. I'm of the belief now they were never going to accept any offer.

I feel we're now going backwards, we had ACL saying they were happy to put the past behind them and start talks again but now this has confirmed there's zero chance of that happening.

The new stadium doesn't appear to me to work on a fininacial / business basis, hence why I started the thread asking for someone to explain how CCFC would end up better off but no one has been able to.

As far as I can see we're just prolonging the inevitable now, a slow painful death. Hard to see a bright future, or any future at all for the club. The only possible good thing is the fact that she's giving interviews at all which there's a chance could be a sign that they are having problems and are making a last ditch attempt to get their own way, if that is correct then what she is saying may not be the truth and more of a tactical move than anything but I suspect that is clutching at straws.

Positive?
We already know her origin/husband's name.
That she is just the leader of a financial pot & the money in the pot is other peoples/organisations!
Why didn't LR ask about her business partner Dermot Coleman?
If she only cares about her investors, are Skyblue fans not her investors?

A rent deal is not beneficial to the club in the long term, so a long term rent deal was never realistic however I still don't see why we cannot rent the Ricoh in the short term if they are serious about building a new stadium. Unless of course they don't plan to build it...

Another was when they were talking about the deal they though they had agreed with ACL only for the council to block it, she said there was not a chance they would do that deal now. Why not? If it was a deal you were prepared to agree then, why not now. A lot of pathetic point scoring going on by both sides it looks like, each looking just to get one over and spite the other

Lots of idealistic talk of long term future and following the Swansea model etc. but need to see it put into action

At least it's a start, people have been moaning for 6 years about communication

Your hatred for the council is obviously clouding your judgement. I don't hate either side so it enables me to balance the information coming in from both sides !!!!!

Yes the council have got a lot to answer for they approved Sisu to take over Ccfc in the first place !!!
They also should have offered more sooner !!!
But Sisu as the owners of the club are more culpable for us being in league one and in northampton which have both been totally unnecessary !!!!

Negative. A total let down. Disappointed in her, though hardly surprised. And let down from Les Reid.
Just stunned and amazed that any self respecting CCFC fan would be taken in by her and Sisu/Otium/Arvo whatever they are this week, as they move the deckchairs around on a sinking ship.
If they were good and go ahead business people they would be enjoying a rent of about £150,000 a season and negotiating over catering income. Having proved they were reliable people running our club. Enjoying a good working relationship with everyone in Coventry. They would trust you and you would have been reaping the benefits.
You stripped the playing staff so much we got relegated. Playing 17 year olds who weren't ready. Selling our main striker at a critical point.
Instead this lame effort at an interview exposed her as 'not for turning.' Like Fisher she says she doesn't bluff. Her world is threats, bullying, ruthless exploitation, litigation, late accounts (where are they again, Joy?) - asset stripping.
She feels sorry for what has happened to the fans? You did it to us Joy.
Where are the accounts, where are the designs for this new ground? Where is the new ground?Where are your sponsors? They've seen through you and left.
Where is the free travel for those few to travel from Coventry to Northampton? You said you would provide it. Not that you have many takers. Most have seen through you. If we thought Ken Deluded was bad, you've really trumped him.
As that other so called 'iron lady' you will go down in history as the woman who wrecked our club, made us a laughing stock, reduced us to selling kit out off a wheelbarrow, with no proper ticket office. Even your long serving ticket office manager left. Ignoring fans unless it suits you. Like that other woman, you will be reviled.
And Les Reid had his kid gloves on. A hopeless sham.
The sooner you are gone Joy and Tim, the better. You have no idea about us fans.
What a debacle.

Agree Spion Kop, nopm is working, they are feeling the only pain they can, lack of cash, Seppela preaching christian values absolutely laughable, she's wants out , but wants big bucks to go, great to see these charlatans trying their spin , the sad thing is some people are still believing it.
NOPM, SISU OUT !

It would be interesting to hear from anyone who goes to sixfields on here now its sixfields for at least 5 years. Will they commit to that for that period of time?

I get the impression that a lot of them were going with fingers crossed that it would be for one season.

...also the small matter of the Freedom of Information application which showed sisu haven't had a single conversation with any local council about this.

Michael, are you able to publish the resultant information you received?

Negative for me. I am left convinced we will never return to the Ricoh. As she states 'I have no interest in football'. The model does not stack up, 1500 fans going to Northampton, less than many conference sides. They cannot sustain the losses like this for 5 seasons, its just crazy and stupid business model. They will never get the money back, even with the so called new stadium ever gets build, which I don't believe it will. We have two sides who has so much distrust in each other, and refuse to talk, acting like kids in the playground. JS is my way or the highway just is not going to work. Cut your losses Joy get out now, but you are just to stubborn to do that. I believe we just have sit back an wait to see what happens next with the whole sorry affair. As a life long fan it left me feeling helpless to change anything, depress that a hedge fund has 'stolen' my club from me.

Negative.
To me, it appeared like a well written, straight out of the text book, piece of PR, designed to win over a few more fans.
How is knowing that Joy is devoutly religious, relevant to our problem ?
It didn't appear to be a hard hitting Les Reid article, more a Joy monologue

Positive for me only in as much as surely its got to precipitate some sort of response or action from CCC/ACL.....

We can't carry on treading water for ever....

We need someone to throw us a lifebelt (Sell the Ricoh to Sisu)
OR We need to work our way to the shallow end (Scaled down new ground in a few years time.....small scale club for many years to come)
OR we just drown....RIP.

A brazen attempt to manipulate fans emotions. We can afford to stay at Northampton for as long as necessary, you fans want the club back at the Ricoh, we will only ever come back if we effectively own the Ricoh. Therefore we desperately need you fans to pressurise ACL to surrender to our demands. It was hardly an interview, just a convenient medium for her to promote her viewpoints.

re Sky Blues Fans being investors. For info I have a close friend with the initials LR and they gave me a list that someone with initials JS had made of the things that were most important to them. Here it is

1) Me and my ego
2) Money
3) Me again
4) My family
5) Hector
6) Make up
7) Being horrible to orphans
8) Making people suffer
9) Telling porkies
10) More money.

I haven't got time to report the full list, but we as supporters came 103rd just behind paper clips and bin linners

I don't get this. WHY isn't a rent deal viable?

For what it will cost to build the stadium and move to Northampton for 5 years we could rent the Ricoh for getting on for 300 years!!

Lots of previous assumptions confirmed in this interview.
CCFC/SISU are not coming back to the Ricoh unless its with the freehold attached. As a primary strategy, the acquisition of the Ricoh by SISU has been denied by some... and yet there it is, straight from the horses mouth. No freehold no football club- substantiates everything I had ever suspected- CCFC back in Coventry are the ransom demand.

ACL claimed that in the Ownership meeting on the 25th July....
ACL statement 03/08/13 said:
Mr Fisher has also now chosen to make factually inaccurate public statements relating to the meeting attended by Joy Seppala as well as ACL Board members on Thursday 25 July. It is interesting to note Mr Fisher’s failure to mention Ms Seppala’s verbal statement during this meeting, made in the presence of her own lawyers that the only circumstance in which the Club would return to the Ricoh would be upon SISU assuming full ownership of the venue without any negotiation on purchase price. Ms Seppala also stated at this meeting her intention to continue to threaten ACL and its shareholders with expensive litigation at every possible opportunity. Perhaps the fact that Mr Fisher was not himself present at this meeting has distorted his view of what was really discussed.

http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/34951-ACL-Statement?p=509700&viewfull=1#post509700
Then the club/SISU had their response in a statement issued on 05/08/13 on the ccfc.co.uk website

SISU/CCFC said:
When Joy Seppala met with representatives of ACL on July 25, she certainly did not demand full ownership without negotiation. She made the point that every football club needs access to matchday revenues and should own its stadium - especially under the Financial Fair Play rules.
http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-050813-971036.aspx

So that appeared to contradict what ACL had said in their statement and we were no closer to the truth of whether she did make those demands.

Then Les gets an interview where the elusive Mrs Seppala said

Les Reid Interview said:
The club needs 100 per cent ownership of the freehold of the Ricoh. If you look back at the history of the club, you can see why this is important.”

She said she had made her position clear at a meeting with ACL directors on July 25, adding: “I had thought we were going to talk about a deal involving stadium ownership.”

Asked if it was an extreme bargaining position in public from which there may be room for private negotiation, she said: “I don’t posture. I always tell people what it is I need. I don’t go for wasting time in negotiations.

Which I read that if she doesn't negotiate and she wants the freehold or there's no return to the Ricoh (we're not renting again), it must have been at her price as she doesn't negotiate. CCC could have named a price but then if she had mentioned a price which she was thinking of, that would be a negotiation (or the start of one) wouldn't it. She does go on and contradict herself in that interview by saying

Les Reid Interview said:
“Realistically, this council don’t think they can work with me. I know I cannot work with them. It doesn’t mean I can’t negotiate a deal. But I am not going to risk my investors’ money by exposing us to the potential of having a repeat of what happened over the last year.

The goalposts keep on moving don't they...

First it was unfair rent..
Then we need F&B
Then we agree HOT but were vetoed
Now its we need the stadium & the freehold..

Well its time to let Joy build her new dream stadium.. the city should never again bail out the club like they did when they made up the shortfall in funding to build the Ricoh and ended up owning it 100%, once bitten twice shy.

ACL need to do whatever they need to in order to make the Arena viable, whatever option presents itself they should take & I firmly believe selling to SISU should be very low down on the list, there are bound to be better offers from more trustworthy sources out there.

Thus far, throughout their time with the club, the majority of their words of intent have been positive. Meanwhile the vast majority if their actions have been negative or caused great upset to one or more body attached to the club.
As a result I'll err on the cautious side & say that stated intent is yet again positive - but I won't believe any of it until I see it & have evidence that there are no catches!
