I must admit I didnt know they were playing on Tuesday in the JPT, I only found out the following morning and I did the JPT run last year. On Sundays I may look once or twice and thats if I remember and on Saturdays I watch Stelling and the boys so I am fully up-to-date. I used to listen on the radio but dont bother anymore. I dont think I could fully affiliate myself with another club but I am not bothered at present with CCFC, come back to the Ricoh and I will be like a dog with 2 dicks.

I almost wish they would put me out my misery by announcing 'firm' plans for a new stadium.

Agree but I do wonder what difference this would make now? People have had enough, we are moving on, finding other things to do with the weekends.
Would they come back, if so how many? 30+ years of supporting City and I would have had you sectioned for even saying I would feel this way 12 months ago.
By the end of the month I will have done 1 game this season, Port Vale & just not bothered now.

I'm not even sure I'll be watching Sunday now as its the last weekend of the British Touring Cars on ITV 4.
Last Saturday we won I felt meh whatever.
Saturday night sat screaming myself horse watching Wigan win Super League Grand Final.
26th this month bypassing Walsall on way to Cardiff for rugby League world Cup, Opening ceremony, England-Australia & Wales-Italy for £25.

We come on here every day unable to talk footy and the same threads with different titles going round in circles and after a couple of pages each thread seems to turn into a farce with everyone at each others throats.

The next step will be interesting ...

If Fisher announces the new stadium with plans and location. Say a 18,000 seater easily upgraded to 34,000 later in say Ryton (Near training ground). Estimated completion for 2017/2018 season.

.... and like me that will be the point you switch off.

Do you actively then want SISU and CCFC to mess up. Would you actively want CCFC to downward spiral whilst SISU are in charge and would you take pleasure.

I'm not so sure I wouldn't !!!!

So you are saying if CCFC spiraled you would take pleasure?

Got to say: I've just come out of hospital (been in all week) and didn't even remember to check for the Orient score when I had no entertainment whatsoever. That's worrying, I've never been a "never miss a game" kinda fan, but given on other options I've never forgotten to listen to the game or at least check the match thread before.

I don't want the club to spiral but I'd certainly be aggrieved if the club did particularly well and Fisher managed to get 7000 clapping seals at Sixfields. That would be salt in the festering wound for which I am very bitter about ! I do want SISU to spiral that's for sure !!

You will always get the occasional fan to support temporary success.
A draw at Sixfields against Man U will be full. Northampton people, those that went to Wembley in 87, JPT Semi people, Grendull.
You have to look at the long term future to decide how your support will go from here.

Of course the 'debate' is getting boring, it hasn't changed for the last year.

At least last year, many Cov fans could talk about the matches, player performances, but about 90% of that support doesn't go to matches for whatever reason.

For example, I'm focusing on rugby this year.

The interest will start to wane for me due to being tired of the whjole situation and nobody caring (FL in particular). What seriously bothers me is that my 7 year old boy is keen to go and watch the Sky Blues, but I can't take him to Sixfields (to watch Cov) - I just can't. Ironically, it may end up being a Cobblers game, or Northampton Saints (not overly keen on Saints fans in general as they are almost toxic in their hatred of football). Will give it until the end of the year and think it and through again.

I agree it is the kids that are suffering, my daughter is 4 and she thinks Sky Blue Sam is on holiday in Northampton as he doesn't live at the Ricoh now :(

Take him to an away game then. You can't ignore kids wanting to become CCFC fans. Like hens teeth, they are.

You could let them watch the game on sky rather than go to the hill to protest....perhaps by them the new shirt too.

That's what I'm going to do with my little one. Get sweets in and make sure she enjoys her first proper CCFC game. Be warned that the last footy match she watched with me on TV was the 2010 England WC campaign!

Edit: would be on the hill, but am injured unfortunately.

Schmeee mate - no-one's asking you to play mate - then an injury's valid. I've never heard of an injury affecting being on a hill (I suggest a new thread guessing what it is ?) I'm going for a severe case of irritated piles !!!!!!!!
