Based on the Trust Meeting last night, the accounts being filed finally today and everything else we have learned within the last week or so regarding talks between AL and JS etc:

Quite simply will a deal be done in time for next season? YES OR NO and a brief description as to why if possible?

No tactics are at play, SISU seem willing to buy the Ricoh, Council say not for sale, SISU look the innocent party back to square 1.

That's 2 no's already lol I think most of us think too much has happened now and if a deal was to be done wasn't it last year?

I can't see any sign that CCfc/sisu are likely to back down,so chances very slim.
You must remember when sisu took over lots of people wrote off debt, they are not prepared to do so

Sorry guys, this maybe was a pointless poll but nevertheless it maybe shows people who look at this website that we are not stupid.

I find it hard to understand what SISU expect to happen. They may figure that they can tough it out at Nothampton for a few years & eventually get a deal.
I don't expect them to acquire any land this year or get planning if they do buy land within the next 3 years, though I guess they'll talk about 'fast modern building techniques' & 'planning obstables' etc.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say yes, purely because I believe NOPM is taking its toll and as a result SISU will have to take a more sensible approach in future negotiations. They cannot continue playing at Shitfields in front of 2,000 fans and they have absolutely no intention of building a new stadium, even if they can find a suitable site.

no, the club cant buy its own ground, so checkmate!

a real shame and a bloody mess, when on-field matters are going so well

No realistic chance of a resolution IMHO and the same goes for a new ground.

As for the future, it's anyone's guess but liquidation a real possibility and I'm normally an optimist!

Well they cant buy land and the ricoh, they will not buy land if theres a chance of buying the ricoh, so therefore they play the waiting game and leave the fans stranded. In answer yes, they have no other option unless they wanna be proven as liars (seeking out land, planning permission etc)

Would love to say 'Yes', but think the gap between the SISU valuation and the Council expectation will be too high, even if everything else was magically aligned (like what SISU would do with the freehold, what would happen to ACL, etc.).

Think it's more likely that we'll see movement in the close season, when it will be more obvious whether it is SISU or ACL who are financially stressed. Could be that the FL will also look to apply more pressure at that point on SISU too, if there's no deal and no clear progress on a new stadium (though I wouldn't bank on the FL for that). Think this could all take a while to resolve, sadly.

I don't see a deal on the horizon, as long as the team does well Seppala will feel she has a strengthening hand (and she may be right), and I expect more Legal and Press tactics like we've seen for the last year. The Council might get jumpy around election time next May, but I honestly doubt they're seeing mass pressure from voters.

I expect Sisu to hang on to next season if we get promoted, maybe another season if we're close. But if we drop off I expect fire sales and liquidation. This time last year things were looking up as well, and look how that went.

Out of interest, why is it a "valuation" from Sisu and an "expectation" from the Council?

they are gonna buy a lego stadium for 20-30 million,

but want the ricoh for less than 10 million, as thats what they see its worth

er, NO DEAL

In a Simon Cowell stylee it's a NO from me. I think too much water has passed under the bridge on both sides. They are both too stubborn.

Not sure really

SISU are saying they will only return by buying the freehold at their price.
Tim has already said they don't value the Ricoh at much

It could be the case of the council showing everyone for the last time that they have offered everything they reasonably could, before having to take a different route.

A very hesitant yes from me. There are a few things that are needed to force it though. The football league and FA need to get involved and a complete boycott of sixfields may force this. Along with this ACL must prove that they are making the profit they say without the football by offering the stadium rent free to the club along with all the revenue with the club just bearing the match day costs.

No and while RFC and the other clowns keep going to Sixfields it will take even longer

just about sums up the realism of building a new stadium or sisu buying the Ricoh for the true value

I think I used that phrase because SISU will claim they've done a valuation, I fear a rather low one. I think the Council's value will be based on at least what has been put in so far, money that they might reasonably 'expect' to recover. They'd also, not unreasonably imho, expect the value of the Ricoh to be above or at least around that of an off-the-shelf 12,000 seater stadium, I'd venture. On that basis I don't think they'll trouble themselves with a formal valuation, though I could easily be wrong on all points!

I still don't think SISU would liquidate the club as long as there's someone out there who would hand a reasonable amount of cold hard cash over to purchase it. That would be cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Personal view, no we won't be back. We need to do everything we can as fans till the bitter end though. Btw the FL have said they'll look at the progress of the new stadium at the end of the season. What that means, who knows?

If / and when that happens the FL seem to have backed themselves into a corner. What do they do in 3 years time when SISU tell them there's not actually a stadium? Kick us out of the league? Hows that going to look when all along everyone apart from SISU has been telling them the new stadium will never happen.

It would appear that last winter the council's worst case scenario valued the Ricoh at £6.4million and Sisu thought in early 2013 the stadium's value was "certainly less than £5million and arguably closer to zero". The values each side place on the arena may have changed since then but it suggests the two sides will be far apart on valuation, particularly if the council thinks the stadium complex can survive without the club and Sisu don't think it can. I'm very doubtful the Sky Blues will be playing in Coventry any time soon.
