Was that a coach all the bootboys got?
I got that coach, weren't all boot boys. But I remember being chased round Northampton by Leicester and West Ham on different occasions while Happy supped beer in some Working Mens Club.
I remember Bristol away...it smelt of Europe that year!
Yeh thats the one. Never travelled with him myself I should say!
Christ we aint been in Northampton that long!
Is he still alive?
yes i remember him.
was he mates with Hatchet
Happy? Was he a black guy with learning problems? Or am I thinking of someone completely different.

I remember a Cov fan called Happy from way back when, who used to get pointed out to me when I was about 16 in the mid seventies. If it's the same guy, I never realised he was any sort of 'bootboy' - but then, never really knew a lot of the Cov troublemakers. I used to go to a fair few games by coach from Leamington and have some great memories of Burnley away 3-3, followed by mayhem in Blackpool, Norwich away (always a favourite) when some of their fans came into the Cov section looking for trouble, but City fans were dancing to 'Oh what a night' by Frankie Valli, ignored them, and so they left, just looking confused. Luton away after we had just sold Colin Stein (I think?) in the age of nicking silk scarves off opposition fans. Often a bit edgy away from home, but loved it all the same. Happy days (sic!)
Isn't that Maurice? (used to see him in Cheylesmore - needed a bar of soap, no offence Maurice)
That was him. Used to live in Cheylesmore myself and used to see him coming off the bus after games.Isn't that Maurice? (used to see him in Cheylesmore - needed a bar of soap, no offence Maurice)

The Pink! Or should that be a separate thread?
The easy pink or the tricky brown mmmmmmmmm
Anyone who calls themselves WestEndAgro should be old enough to know what Pink I am referring to! Preferable to the Millwall brick anyway. Never liked their newspaper.
I know what "Pink" you meant, it was me who said I used to buy it, it was an attempt at humor.
I used to read it from cover to cover and then start again, I was devasted when they stopped production.
And yes it probably does deserve its own thread.
yes I remember him very well from the early seventies up to the nineties. His smile and sheepskin were a regular feature in the west end. He was a leader of the west end and a well known face as they say
The pink,what a publication !!!
Waiting outside the papershop for the van.
Everyone payed in advance and waited for the little black van !!
Happy memories !!
