LAST is there really a choice though, is there serious buyers who are willing to pay the type of money needed to purchase CCFC of SISU?

I agree with the second point, the Ricoh was built for CCFC it should be our home.

Just as the Alan Higgs Centre was built for our Academy and it should be their home. I am praying that Mr Waggot and the Higgs Trustees can sort something out sooner than later.

Do you love arguing on things you don't know about?

I lived near Grimsby for about 17 years. You can see signs saying Greater Grimsby. And their ground is less than 1 minutes walk from Grimsby and 5 from the town centre. You couldn't get it any closer to Grimsby on the main road in or it would be on the docks.

Grimsby Town play in Cleethorpes.

Selective reading again Grendull? Is saying Grimsby play less than a 1 minute walk from Grimsby saying they play in Grimsby?

Cleethorpes is 6 miles from Grimsby. So if Coventry say play in Kenilworth or Bedworth I assume you are ok with that?

Its part of the same conurbation. Greater Grimsby.

Can you provide a link to where I said that? I said its part of the same conurbation. Same urban area. Same built up area. Même agglomeration. Gleiche Ballungsraum. Igual conurbación. Stesso agglomerato urbano. Yr un gytref.

There you go, in a selection of European languages (including Welsh) in case you didn't understand it the second time.

The North East Lincolnshire towns of Grimsby, Immingham and Cleethorpes, form the economic area known as Greater Grimsby.

Interesting so this is a conurbation like greater Manchester? So we are saying providing we remain in the same county as we don't have the name "greater" that's ok?

Also looking at greater Manchester are you saying any of the teams in it should be perfectly happy if they play anywhere in the greater area even if the move is 20 miles away?

In your usual argumentative mood tonight Grendel. Look, Grimsby ends where Cleethorpes begins and yes it is no more than a minutes walk from that point to their ground.

Same as Kenilworth then?

Take it from someone who knows, solihull apparently stretches all the way to acocks green, chelmsley wood, sheldon, marston green, hall green etc. Infact give it two years and the whole of brum will fail to exist.

Brummies are obsessive about solihull gods knows why.

Do you understand what a conurbation is? Because the last time I looked there was a great slab of open countryside between Coventry and Kenilworth.

Yes but we all know that women would not know what 20 yards are.

and unless Joy has had a sex change she will also be unable to read a measuring tape.

It is easy manipulating a boundary line to suit your argument but if it is in Warwickshire then it is not in Coventry.

It wouldn't be in our County if it was in Warwick's unfortunately.

To be honest I'm not too sure, but I was going up Tanners lane in Tile Hill and the Solihull sign was a hell of a lot closer than I was expecting.

Yes we've got one just down the road where broad lane ends and the lane past massey's starts. I have noticed a few more brummies moving over cov way over the last few years.

That high pitched whining sticks out like a sore thumb!

Its a bit ridiculous for people to be saying anything outside the city boundary is a no go. That said it's pretty clear that every step further away from the city boundary will mean more people who feel it is too far away and won't go.

It's a pretty unique situation, other teams who play outside the place they take their name from generally do so as it's their only option or it is where they have been located for decades. That's nothing like the situation for us where we have a stadium sat empty in the city and our owners are refusing to even consider sites within the city boundary for their proposed new stadium.

For me I can't say what I will or won't do until someone lets us know where the stadium will be.

Everton is a suburb of Liverpool, population 7,300 where do their fans come from?
Port Vale play in Burslem one of six towns that form Stoke on Trent...where is Stoke City?
West Ham don't play at Upton Park they play at the Boleyn Ground which is in the Upton Park area next to East Ham tube station.
Nottingham Forest don't play in a forest.
Do Oldham Athletic play in Oldham or the town of Chadderton?

Any one know of other peculiarities?

What does Albion mean in club names? Does that relate to anything?

England or Britain. Cant remember which, but its an ancient name for it.

Edit: Just looked it up, its the island of Great Britain.

Didn't Edgbaston used to be in Warwickshire until the mid 1970s?
So did Coventry.
If you are like me the West Midlands is not a proper county it is a government organisational body...a bureaucratic cog. Coventry is Warwickshire.
However it was once a county in its own right!

Yes and so did we as usual we were left out of the new boundary changes at the time and our council of the time picked to be in the West Midlands?
where I live my side of the road is West midlands and the other side is Warwickshire,

The elephant (white?) In the room is the Ricoh. On the border of Cov and Nuneaton. Would it be a no go zone if it was on the site of the old Makro?
