Just been told from within the club that they WILL be building the new stadium. Council will not sell and talks have finished.

In Coventry I hope if this is true. Fans would support pressure on the Council and they'd have to accept if it's a valid application so I don't see why not.

Not Rioch then?
So where is the chosen site?
Or is it just two distressed organisations (Acl/Sisu) just trying to raise funds through comical PR???

What really annoys me is building a new stadium solves nothing as it will be outside the city and also as sisu and tf have already stated the club will not own the stadium and will I fact rent it back to the football club. So were still in square one were the has no assets but only this time were filling sisu's pockets. Sisu bought the club to get the Ricoh, and thought they could get it on the cheap, but they have failed and must continue to fail.

But would they ?? A valid Application can still get knocked back .

Looks like the players found out last week....would explain the loss of form....I wouldn't be arsed if I knew I was playing at sixfields for 5 years.

& the site is?

Otium are blessed with a choice of at least 4 possible locations in their on going quest for a new site.

Based on the longevity of the search, they intend, in fact to create a new soap opera and are thinking of calling it.

I would support a new ground in Coventry only when I am satisfied that it makes more financial sense for the club (not Sisu) to build a new ground over going back to the Ricoh. I have yet to be convinced.

Under no circumstances will I support it outside the city. No one inch over the boundary. #NOIM

The council should sell Ricoh at market value with a clause that the stadium is owned by the football club/golden share holding company only!
If sisu don't like it, don't sell & inform us all!
I wish I was the administrator!

Why has this come out the day before the JR? Have Sisu got word that they've failed again?

Not surprising if true, they only know how to fail.

As the principle, IF it was true, and if it went up in actual bricks and mortar, would have to support that.

Start turning up in Cubbington however...

Exactly!
Stand by for the CCFC in receivership show!
Explains why Rioch has jumped ship!
More to follow, no doubt.....

If it's not a CV postcode, it's not Coventry!
5 years is tolerable, permanant, no way!
What next, Birmingham Bears?
