I also believe that are club could die under Sisu whilst they chase that JR golden rainbow !!!
How many years will the JR go on for appeal after appeal even if they lose ?
If they were more bothered about the club than the JR we would be back now at the Ricoh rent free !!!

Its not extreme, it is inchoerent and confused..."spite" is a really crap reason to wish the demise of your club - you will soon forget this when you are back at the Ricoh next season moaning like fuck about the team again.

You are right AndreasB "spite" is a crap reason. That is what I would expect from SISU.

I can't see us being back at the Ricoh next season, to be honest, neither can I see any new stadium being built soon.

Accepting SISU/Otium are still our owners....I cannot understand why there is not clear development plans for either a return to the Ricoh and it's development or the development of a new stadium.

How do they plan to move the club forward. Because they have said the previous arrangements were not viable. I don't think anyone disputes that? But they must have a plan /vision to move us forward. Where is it? In their six years of ownership they have taken us backwards, they have to take responsibility for that. Accepting businesses do make mistakes....they now have to show us the way forward.

Be honest AndreasB all they have come out with in six years is limp rhetoric and PR, and often that has contradicted itself. I admire you banging the drum and trying to rally support for the team at Sixfields. But if the owners had shown the fans at viable business plan taking the club forward...then they would have the support even in Northampton on a temporary basis.

So why should we make it easy for them... I rather go down in a blaze of glory!!

But there is a slim chance that something good might come out of them getting the Ricoh. You seem to be saying you'd rather the club go out of business rather than sisu making a success of ccfc.

They lump all of the debt onto CCFC and then write us off. CCFC wont own the stadium, it will be SISU, meaning we will still have no assets.

We've been over this before.

What's to stop ANY new owner from doing it???

I will be honest and say that my disdain for SISU is so bad that I would sacrifice everything, including the club, just to spite them.

That may sound extreme, and it definitely is, but what's happening at the moment is bigger than a football club. They are parasites that deserve jail for what they have done and I would rather see justice than my team again.

You sir, are a mug.

Great post. I know, it sounds like madness to "trust" SISU any longer - Of course I dont especially trust them but in the last 18 months they pretty much have done everything they said they would - including moving out of the Ricoh unfortuntely.
The one hope we should keep is that they havent given up on the club already - they must see some value being realised eventually and have also developed a pretty lean club structure - whilst strengthening the playing squad and academy.
I know it sticks in the craw to "support" them but it may just be the only pragmatic thing to do.

(anyone who thinks I am in the "pay" of "Timmy" neednt respond - I am fully aware of your views towards me thank you)

Fucking hell....this place gets more like a special needs playground every day....life is far too short people.....get a grip!!

In answer to the original question:

If SISU get us back to Coventry, make all reasonable attempts to retain our rising star of a manager & young squad, invest a few quid at improving academy development & invest in the squad if the play-offs look likely.....

...Then Yes, I would be happy.

Yes they so far have hung in there on the club. But this is my fear, they have invested money, not as much as they have said, but still a substantial amount.

I base my fear on a factual statement from Joy Seppala "I want a return on the capital we have invested" "I only care about my family and investors". No mention of the football teams future there, they never mention our future do they? Or any plans for it?

I won't go to Sixfields because I want our owners to be more honest and transparent with us. It does affect them. Its the only way I can see of effectively protesting to them. I support the team and Manager way from home and still want them to win at Sixfields.

I'd be happy enough if we were to get back to the Ricoh, but don't think i'll ever get to the point where i'll be happy SISU are running the club, too much damage has been done with 90% of our fan base.

Pretty much every decision they make has no business sense, and it will take one hell of a change in attitude and thinking to reverse that. They keep banging on about the rent (and yes we ALL agree it was too much) but never mention that wages have been more than turnover under their watch, the single biggest reason for our losses. Absolute madness.

If (and it's a big if) we were to return I'd wager the Ricoh won't be owned by the football club anyway. Fisher implied at the forums in the summer that the imaginary new ground when built would not be owned by the club but by an arm of SISU, and if that's the case we would be still be charged some form of rent.

SISU will always be the "owners" who took Coventry City out of Coventry !

but what IF they brought us back again....

...what if they were the "owners" who got us our first promotion since 1967?

I know....my IFs are getting bigger and bigger....

IF they bought us back to Cov, they would have to do an awful lot of other things right before I could trust them

IF they got us promoted, then WAHEY !, we are at the same level as when they bought us, but in a lot more debt, fantastic !

At what cost.. Yes I am a City fan but hell am I going to allow our football club to bully the people of Coventry.

Yes..football is important to me but not at the expense of ripping of the local tax payers. A thriving City is better than a thriving football club for the people of Coventry. I just have my priorities right.

SISU making a success .. well where is the evidence to show this. Where is the plan for the new Stadium.. to be honest, don't care if they don't come back to the Ricoh... I rather ACL went there own way.

I want to see the plans for this new Stadium. Can you tell me where I can find this???

As far as I am concerned, we should give up the idea of bringing CCFC back to the Ricoh. Lets call out SISU about the 30 million new stadium they said they want to build.

The Sky Blue fans should surrender the idea of returning back to the Ricoh as Fisher said, we have moved on. Well if that is the case then is it not time to press the SISU board on this new stadium. Let see if they put there money where there mouth is.

The article in the Guardian I feel was a clue to us fans to start calling there bluff on the new stadium only way we and they will see how there investors will react.

Remember building a stadium is not the way hedge fund works as far as I know.

SO when are we going to see the Stadium plans? anyone??????????????????????

Note: I have used the word Stadium in my message a lot, because that is what it's all about isn't it.

I just hate all the fans taking sides. Why not take the side of CCFC. Screw sisu, screw ACL , screw CCC.
People make out CCC need to come out of this with a good deal. Sorry they got the Ricoh for a steal. They charged a massive rental. Tried to make it a cash cow by charging loads for parking and putting on a massive parking exclusion zone.
Sisu have sold all the best players, lacked insight and shown contempt for the fans.
People who support the players at six fields are called scabs by fellow fans.

Sometimes I even wonder if we deserve a football team by the way we all carry on.

For a start SISU is CCFC !

How did CCC get it for a steal. Please clarify?

The massive rent was agreed by the previous owner to SISU, but SISU took that on when they bought the club. Why did they not question this. They signed the contract for the change over of ownership not ACL/Higgs. Isn't that the norm when buying a football club??

The stadium cost £113 million, the money did not just fall on there lap out of thin air.. It was borrowed from the banks. How else are they suppose to pay the repayments. Selling daisies outside the stadium?? Since the new University Hospital was opened the car park fee's have rocketed so to contribute to help break even the burdening cost it took to build the hospital. This is how all new projects work. Anyone old enough to remember the parking cost of west orchard when it first opened compared to what it is now.

So do we deserve a football team owed by owners that have not really contributed to the community other than take it for granted. So they want the Council/Charity controlled stadium paid by the taxes of the hard earning people on the real cheap and blackmailing the people by moving the club out of its home. Then my answer is No we do not deserve them, they crossed the line as soon as they moved the club out of its jurisdiction.

The people going to sixfields, that is there choice , There is no need to call them scabs but I Don't particularly have time for them to say the least.

Should have seen some of the dodgy one's I used to park at.

Now I have gone up market and park at the West Orchard car park. Cheaper than some of the crappy car parks out there.

If we end up back at the Ricoh winning games and playing well nobody would complain who owns us; why should they? Who gives a shit who owns us, I support Cov not Sisu or anybody else who might come in later on.

I too support CCFC ... but the owners are making it very difficult for me to follow the team and alienating us from the club... Northampton ring any bells.

Of course currently I understand why people are so frustrated with them, I am. Northampton is a farce but get us back to Cov, particularly as owners of the Ricoh, and if we're still playing as well as we are currently people ain't gonna mind who owns us. Fans, and I include myself in this, are fickle. Ultimately it's all about winning on a Saturday afternoon.

Theres only two options whilst SISU are in charge.

One - They manage to get the Ricoh, our debts keep mounting and the death of the club is drawn out longer. They pull the plug on the club and sell the ground + land to make a nice tidy profit.

Two - They never manage to get their dirty hands on the Ricoh and we just keep going on getting deeper and deeper into the mire.

I hope there is a third option when they will eventually give up and sell the club on, or we go into adminstration again and get rid of them second time round.

Either way as depressing as it sounds there is no silver lining, of everything SISU has done to the club I hope they never get hold of the Ricoh, unless the ground is owned by the football club.

What's the solution then? Nopm is not working. We can't force them to sell. I fear they will stick with their investment till the end of the club. I do believe it will either end up as them getting Ricoh or cov not existing any more.

Me too unfortunately. Each to their own on what they'd do to keep the club in it's current form I suppose.

You must have heard the saying "form is temporary, class is permanent". The team are in good form, but SISU will never have class.

Sell the ground to who? Nuneton Town? I don't understand this arugement to be fair. Minus the rent from ccfc the Arena has made a loss every single year it has been open I believe; it is a failed council project effectively.

They'll get the ground, hope for promotion then sell on in a year or two when the club is in a much better state like they planned to do from the very start in my opinion. It is the only viable option they have to make any money back.

Speaking for myself if SISU bought the Ricoh I would attend. SISU have a lot to do to win back my faith, but like you say the only show in town.

I want the club to be successful and move forward.

However, SISU have to pay a reasonable price not be given it or get it cheap as chips. If they intend to develop it I think the the people of Coventry should be informed of those plans and planning permission be part of the sale.

If they develop it for the good of the city and the club I would have no objection, I don't think the council would object either.

I get the impression the council mistrust of SISU has come from the fact they have never voiced their intention or offered a plan of development.

Therefore they cannot judge whether such a sale would benefit the people of Coventry and the city or even the football club.

The only people who will benefit are sisu--big time.

Ignoring your ugly sexism, the best thing we can all do is support SISU in forcing ACL to sell the Ricoh at a reasonable price to the football club. They might then be able to set out the "vision" you also desperately want to see.

In the short term, I would advise going to see the club at Sixfields, showing support for the team and putting some money back into the club.

What's it like up there in cloud Cuckoo land.Just a casual glance through the pages on this forum will show you that
some 95% plus of fans are against all of the bilge you post. We will not be going to the cobblers cow shed.we will not support sisu in forcing ACL to sell them the Ricoh. The only vision sisu have is how much money they can cream off CCFC. I sincerely hope it's a big fat ZERO.

That seems the only obvious sensible out, there may be development opportunity at the Ground that would help.

The no parking exclusion zone was (labour) government policy, nothing to do with CCC.
Parking was effectively free if you went to Tesco|M&S & shop, I've never paid a penny for parking at the Ricoh, hell I did the trip by push-bike a few times every year when the weather was good.
