I have no problem with a new stadium myself, philosophically I'd even welcome it.

Think it's safe to say the current idea struggles to have basis in reality.

But it's the playing on uncertainty that's the whole play isn't it, so the game in reverse is to crystallise those uncertainties into certainties, move the game on.

But let me be clear, the clock is ticking and time is moving on. I will not lead the Council into a state of paralysis around this issue. Difficult times call for difficult decisions. If this matter cannot be resolved by the turn of the year, then I and all of my colleagues on the Labour Group on Coventry City Council will look to put in place a process which ensures the best possible deal for the people of Coventry in relation to the Ricoh Arena.

Basically they don't give a rats ass about us.

They want to buy the Ricoh.

They have calculated that the loses they make during their time in Northampton will still be less than the profit to be made by buying the Ricoh at a huge undervalue. Then reunite it with the club make a successful business of it and sell it for a huge profit.

Unfortunately in their opinion the longer we are at Northampton the better as the value if it goes down.

This of course is just my opinion.

Also it is my opinion that the only chance we may have of returning to the Ricoh earlier would be if we somehow could influence SISU's chances if buying it.

Also if the same tax payers are telling the council to get a independent valuation and sell to SISU once they are back.

You would find that would have more of impact than you would expect.

SISU would not like it as the Ricoh value would increase automatically on their return.

However they would be left with little choice.

I would add the successful business aspect does not necessarily involve a successful CCFC, that would be a bonus.

you cant say NOPM isn't working any more than i can say it is, truth is we wont know until its either too late or everything has worked out for the best.

one thing you can say with certainty though, is that going to sixfields definitely not helping.

But don't forget there are 2 NOPM going on presently. SISU are engaged in an NOPM on ACL as well, in a desperate effort to bring ACL down. That is why they wont accept the latest ACL offer, virtually no fan believes they will build a new stadium, its the Ricoh or bust for them. All their efforts are now fixed in this battle, they will spin the new stadium line until the JR is finally decided one way or another.

I've come to the conclusion that there are only two ways this can end on a good note .... either Sisu build their stadium close to or in Cov and then invest to get us promoted (neither of which I can see happening), or we find out which pension funds are investing in Sisu and put public pressure on them to pull their money out (which is the only way to hurt Sisu financially in any meaningful way). Otherwise I see a slow lingering death with multiple relegations at Sixfields.
