On the whole point and because you can't.

Really, what's the point of excplaining the alternative positions (again) when you won't listen anyway? Why shouyld I waste my time to do so, so it can be blithely ignored because it doesn't tally with what you want?

i explained my point in one sentence, see if you can do the same. i will listen i promise.

It'll work by calling their bluff, and either everybody's happy and we end up with two leisure facilities (given the Ricoh don't need CCFC apparently) or it pushes closer to a conclusion one way or another.

no, calling their bluff would be getting the council to put the ricoh on the market for a price of X pounds or near offer and then seeing what sh1tsu offer.

that would call everyone's bluff for once and for all.

either we all fall about laughing at CCC's asking price or Sh1tsu's offer, at least we would see the truth for once and for all.

Oh and sorry the benefit would be being back in the Ricoh whilst they negotiate the deal to buy it.

Which I assume you can't fathom out how that is a benefit.

Which won't happen for 2-3 years with their current plan A of keeping the Ricoh empty for as long as possible to get it cheap

Well it won't happen at all with your plan.

And if they're serious about building a stadium, I for one have no problem with them building another stadium in Coventry...

The current rhetoric is:

CCC - we don't need CCFC, if they don't come back we will have to make plans to move on;

CCFC: We have moved on, we intend to build a stadium.

Neither of those statements are a problem if true. One great leisure facility by the M6, and a great leisure facility elsewhere within the city where CCFC plays, everyone's a winner, more of a winner than if CCFC returned to the Ricoh in fact. Added bonus of job creation and wealth generation.

So... call their bluff.

As opposed to cutting your nose off to spite your face, and pushing them away. That's partly how we got here before, because of mad rantings from former council leaders.

Quite.

I have no problem with a new stadium myself, philosophically I'd even welcome it.

Think it's safe to say the current idea struggles to have basis in reality.

But it's the playing on uncertainty that's the whole play isn't it, so the game in reverse is to crystallise those uncertainties into certainties, move the game on.

i said you're full of shit, that's an observation. calling someone a moron is name calling.

any news on that paragraph yet?

He did put it and it has merit.

Let me ask you a question:-

If CCFC were to build a new stadium and all other options were off the table, would you rather this stadium was inside or outside Coventry?

Go and read it elsewhere.

Why should I waste my time writing the same thing again and again and again qwhen you just repeat the same closed minded assertions with no consideration or thought.

it was ACL who said if they don't come back we will have to make other plans

it was sh1tsu who said they have moved on

CCFC is bigger than sh1tsu, it includes me and you and we don't belong to sh1tsu

i take it back you aint full of shit, you just live in a fantasy world proven by this ditty "One great leisure facility by the M6, and a great leisure facility elsewhere within the city where CCFC plays, everyone's a winner, more of a winner than if CCFC returned to the Ricoh in fact. Added bonus of job creation and wealth generation"

wealth generation in the Cayman Islands will have no benefit to the Coventry economy, ever.

2 question.

1) who's gwhen?

2) exactly how long would it take you to write a paragraph, surely it would be worth the effort to prove you do actually have a point?

Ann Lucas said:
But let me be clear, the clock is ticking and time is moving on. I will not lead the Council into a state of paralysis around this issue. Difficult times call for difficult decisions. If this matter cannot be resolved by the turn of the year, then I and all of my colleagues on the Labour Group on Coventry City Council will look to put in place a process which ensures the best possible deal for the people of Coventry in relation to the Ricoh Arena.

Seriously, I'd be ve-ry careful if trying to ridicule me for typos...

Read it elsewhere, or shut up.

Well if Sisu won't rent and we make CCC not sell to Sisu, we have no stadium and no way back. This means they would have to build a stadium outside Coventry. Didn't think we wanted that?

Do you honestly believe they will build a new stadium?

Basically they don't give a rats ass about us.

They want to buy the Ricoh.

They have calculated that the loses they make during their time in Northampton will still be less than the profit to be made by buying the Ricoh at a huge undervalue. Then reunite it with the club make a successful business of it and sell it for a huge profit.

Unfortunately in their opinion the longer we are at Northampton the better as the value if it goes down.

This of course is just my opinion.

Also it is my opinion that the only chance we may have of returning to the Ricoh earlier would be if we somehow could influence SISU's chances if buying it.

Agree. We need to get the council to state their price publicly. Put it up for sale properly.

Well it won't happen at all with your plan.

If the tax payers are telling the council not to sell the Ricoh to SISU unless they show some consideration for the fans and return for free.

Also if the same tax payers are telling the council to get a independent valuation and sell to SISU once they are back.

You would find that would have more of impact than you would expect.

SISU would not like it as the Ricoh value would increase automatically on their return.

However they would be left with little choice.

As the tax payer would be demanding the Ricoh should not be sold to them. Which would back the council who probably don't particularly want to

I do not believe they will build a new stadium.

They could move back and still get it for less than its true worth them make a success of the club and sell the lot for a break even.

The starting price I would guess should be the the 30 million SISU will pay for a new stadium
Plus the 15 million estimates loses they are prepared to fund over 5 years at Northampton.
Plus about 10 million because the Ricoh is better.

But before the council consider selling SISU should should return so a true value of the Ricoh is obtained not a Ricoh minus a club value.

Or a valuation includes a football club been there.

SISU should not benefit by orchestrating the club moving to Northampton.

I would add the successful business aspect does not necessarily involve a successful CCFC, that would be a bonus.

What would it then be worth to sell on? SISU are not long term investors.

you cant say NOPM isn't working any more than i can say it is, truth is we wont know until its either too late or everything has worked out for the best.

one thing you can say with certainty though, is that going to sixfields definitely not helping.
But don't forget there are 2 NOPM going on presently. SISU are engaged in an NOPM on ACL as well, in a desperate effort to bring ACL down. That is why they wont accept the latest ACL offer, virtually no fan believes they will build a new stadium, its the Ricoh or bust for them. All their efforts are now fixed in this battle, they will spin the new stadium line until the JR is finally decided one way or another.

I've come to the conclusion that there are only two ways this can end on a good note .... either Sisu build their stadium close to or in Cov and then invest to get us promoted (neither of which I can see happening), or we find out which pension funds are investing in Sisu and put public pressure on them to pull their money out (which is the only way to hurt Sisu financially in any meaningful way). Otherwise I see a slow lingering death with multiple relegations at Sixfields.

Please provide one tiny shred of evidence the tax payer is in the remotest interested in the fate of the Ricoh. If they had a choice of give the Ricoh away for free or build another poundland in the City Centre the majority would go for the latter.

The taxpayer is not bothered.

Then stop the stupid squabbling. It is a plausible idea as much as yours is.

Consider yourself told. ;)

it would be plausible, if sh1tsu actually new how to buy something of CCC, i fear offering them more than 1 site would just confuse them even more. they keep saying they will only return to the Ricoh with the freehold and then seemingly making no effort to buy it.
