"You on the other hand are going to spend 90 minutes in the car and 2 hours in a freezing cold, empty soulless stadium. If I'm pitying anyone it won't be myself. "

The inference is clearly there....

He suggested we would be sitting at home self pitting while he had a great night, my post means I think I'm going to have a nicer night than you are (him) so if I certainly won't be self pitying, if I were to pity one of the two of us it would be him, but it doesn't suggest im going to pity someone, he/she will not cross my mind the entire evening, if I were to sit there pitying someone it would be people starving in africa or something certainly not someone watching a football game in the cold.

I personally wish for a 100% boycott. However I don't agree with using that kind of terminology which can only cause more friction. You're unlikely convince people by insulting them you'll probably only make them more entrenched in their view.

In hindsight scum may be a little harsh . I'd like to replace it with misguided if I may

1756 best guess the FA cup is still special

The triumphalism here at lack of support is frankly sick making. Well Im going. Im gonna get behind the team and I hope we give them a stuffing. You miserable shits can sit at home and wallow in your pointless self pity again.

A cold night in northampton, never mind you can cuddle up to fisher and when it rains you will get wet and look a right pair of drips.

And I guess matesy is still offering people out then coming on here complaining that people are childish saying Shitzu. Some of you need to have a look at yourselves, cos it's embarrassing.

some of the posts on here are staggering you have to admit. Treacherous is a word I'm not fond of

He brought up pity not me (and I didn't say I'd be pitying anyone, I certainly wont be), but no if I think a game will not be enjoyable and the atmosphere and temperature are taken into account then I don't go. There is a reason crowds are lower for midweek games in the cold when you have to travel a significant distance, they arn't very appealing. 7 times more people at a venue 10 mins away hardly compares to 1k people when you are spending probably an hour and a half + in the car overall.

On that basis then you'd attend about 4 games a season even if we were playing in Coventry. Although, at least you're honest and admit you just cannot be arsed most of the time.

The crowd will be terrible for this game, although apparently they're expecting over 4000 on Boxing Day - although I suspect that will be very much the exception and we'll see plenty more sub 2000 gates before the end of the season. Heart-breaking.

Ironically a term that fits SISU's tenure rather well?

I am expecting a big gate (by the recent pathetic standards anyway) on Boxing day. Ricoh/HR crowds used to shoot up Boxing day, also Posh will take plenty I imagine.

Yeah, I think for this one game the numbers will shoot up. Peterborough will take over 1K alone I would imagine.

No thats not true at all, while I've not had a season ticket this year or last year because I thought it was nuts to buy a season ticket either year with the way things were going, I'd had a season ticket in the vast majority of the previous 15 years.

Fair enough, just that line about the cold weather made it sound like you are a bit of a wuss ;)

I don't care about the FA cup. If we don't play in Coventry there is no glory to be had.
Good look on bringing it home to Northampton. I bet you've planned the route already

Northampton is currently our home after all !

Objection--the scruffy little town down the M1 is not our home--never has been --never will be.

He was just asking if I pityed myself when I went to a freezing cold game at the ricoh with only 7k fans and of course I dont, I meant if I thought i was going to be in the position where I was sitting there feeling sorry for myself because its cold, no atmosphere and shit then I wouldn't go. It's silly to go to a game if you dont think you are going to have a good time but I always did have a good time, not been this season and not going again while sisu remain.

But yeah I am a bit of a wuss these days, very badly disabled and the cold fucks me up, it's about 26 degrees in our house, wouldn't stop me going though, I take a blanket, hot water bottle, got a hat with the ears that come down, I look ridiculous, but I don't care what anyone else thinks, I'm warm and have a good time.

We're not going tonight. I think we'll do well and it'll be good to have Leon back up front.

I'm going tonight. It's my first game this season and will be my only one. Looking forwards to seeing how we perform to be honest.

Couldn't agree more. People like Italia are more interested in creating divisions though. You'll notice how many families there are there.

I can't speak for Nick, but I'll be driving my Dad there. It's great that Father and Son can still bond watching their team play regardless of location, don't you think?

I believe that the only way to get us back is not to go. Obviously there are a lot more like me. In fact evidence suggests that 90% of fans who support Coventry think the same.

So the question is .............. who is creating divisions ?
