I was in the Greyhound last night, "sunday" talking to my younger brother who's also been a season ticket holder for decades, and not normally the pessimist that yours truly is, but after witnessing the friendly against Norwich on saturday, he is unmoved in his opinion that there is no possibility of escaping "the drop"this coming season.
with the injuries picked up, and on top of us having an already unexperienced and untried squad, there is no doubt that Sisus actions or rather lack of actions, has bought us to the point of relegation even before a ball has been kicked.
There can be no argument, that we are entering a new season, with the weakest and most ill prepared squad in our recent history, being led by a well meaning, but totally unexperienced manager.
I applaud the optimists, but their opinions must surely be based on wishful thinking, rather than considered logic.
We really needed Sisu to go before the season got under way, to give the new regime, time to settle, and formulate a new business plan, to get us out of the "Ragged arse rovers" image that we have become,
if things are left to bubble and fester, then we could possibly be, that far adrift by, or even before Christmas, for the proposed takeover to appear as viable as it does now, this takeover needs to be sorted, as a matter of extreme urgency, if we are not to become a div1 club for next season.
