Buzzing! (2 Viewers)

Seen a few of your posts now and they seem to focus on putting others down rather than football. Stick to football and you'll be ok and get none of the below aimed at you:

To be fair, I couldn't care less about the name calling and such like, it's the contradiction of people that irritates, but I guess I'll survive.

Keep the scrapping off topic or private message each other lads, its annoying for the people who actually want to talk about all things related from Coventry City

...So anyone else 'buzzing' about the new season?

I personally cannot wait :D

It isn't always opinion though is it? He is sarcastic on any post he deems pointless or not a topic of his choice, and 9/10 times he is just vile. Perhaps that is why......but it is just my opinion

Yeah, but there have always been psychopaths in our mist, get over it.
I quite like his posts even though I often disagree, gives me a target to smack.

Me neither, I'm buzzing that the impending season is but a few days away.

i honestly think we will do better than it appears or the "experts" think. quite excited about seeing the potential of some players develop under AT aswell. The more we get wrote off the more we may surprise.

I suppose aswell the fact we as fans know there is no money and SISU are restricting talent coming in or even holding onto some players means as long as we play decent football and give 100%, i certainly wont be booing the lads whatever the results.....
Fester bringing 6k beacuse they have been spending loads and think they are gonna beat us 4-5 nil!! could be shock No1 then PUSB

Neither, my retirement was by choice. My house is bought and paid for. I own a holiday villa in Florida & Portugal, and a chalet in Skegness. I live a comfortable lifestyle funded by properties I let and other investments. There are plenty of people who would like 10% of that type of incompetence.

Do you know Ken Dulieu? Or are you one of the backing investors with GH?

Perhaps you could buy our beloved team, if you are bragging to us about your fortunes and how fortunate you are?

I've got a few quid, but nowhere near enough to turn the fortunes of the club around. And even if I did have £100million to throw away, I'm not sure I'd want to do it on Coventry, the supporters don't deserve me.

Bring on the shock result, TBH I don't believe it but.............but......................but............................. I'm begging the gods of fate for that unbelievable result against the odds

I shall not be parting with any cash on this matter however ;-)

I rather enjoy the observation of mr k. I can certainly relate to my optimism waning with age and a more accurate albeit less enjoyable realism kicking. In terms of the expression buzzing, it isnt really a word that i would use to describe my feelings about football therge days. A little older, other things that give me a kick these days. However i am certainly looking forward to it

"The M69 Derby" Oh how I cringed at that. I'm genuinely buzzing for the season though, two great local derbies against Birmingham and fooling myself into thinking this will be the year before it falls apart around Christmas time again. Only downside is I still have to endure the "M69 Derby" and the chavy kids and mongs who flock to the ricoh everytime we play Leicester.

Don't know your real life situation mate but a bit of friendly advice: posts like this scream sad lonely man in his Mums spare room, not financially independent man about town. It's known as Internet tough guy syndrome.

I'm sure you really are doing well for yourself so thought you might welcome the advice on not looking like yet another bullfighter on the Internet.

Ye im really looking forward to the new season. Like i said in another post on another thread, we dont have any expectations, even through our sky blue glasses. So this season we can just all stand back, enjoy our days out at the footy, support the lads and whatever will be will be. The only thing i ask for this season is that the lads fight every game of the season and us fans create some top atmospheres around the country; then if we go down, we'll go down with pride.

I have just got in from a few hours gambling at the Ricoh casino. I didn't win tonight but those are the breaks.

I'll take your advice on board, but as I have said previously I really don't care what people say or think. My explanation of my personal circumstance was a response to a wrong assumption that I lead a sad lonely life. It wasn't intended as a boast, or to work anyone up, more to highlight the reality.

I was in the Greyhound last night, "sunday" talking to my younger brother who's also been a season ticket holder for decades, and not normally the pessimist that yours truly is, but after witnessing the friendly against Norwich on saturday, he is unmoved in his opinion that there is no possibility of escaping "the drop"this coming season.
with the injuries picked up, and on top of us having an already unexperienced and untried squad, there is no doubt that Sisus actions or rather lack of actions, has bought us to the point of relegation even before a ball has been kicked.
There can be no argument, that we are entering a new season, with the weakest and most ill prepared squad in our recent history, being led by a well meaning, but totally unexperienced manager.
I applaud the optimists, but their opinions must surely be based on wishful thinking, rather than considered logic.
We really needed Sisu to go before the season got under way, to give the new regime, time to settle, and formulate a new business plan, to get us out of the "Ragged arse rovers" image that we have become,
if things are left to bubble and fester, then we could possibly be, that far adrift by, or even before Christmas, for the proposed takeover to appear as viable as it does now, this takeover needs to be sorted, as a matter of extreme urgency, if we are not to become a div1 club for next season.
Tanktop.....

makes me laugh this, Why is it that when people say we are getting relegated it is fact, yet if like i, believe we will be okay it is not based on any logic? Surely before the season has started means all outcomes are possible and only after winning a lot or losing a lot will the FACTS of promotion/safety or relegation become clear! We havent played anyone yet, so how do we know the kids are crap or every other team are better than us.....we don't. So keep your pecker up, sing your heart out and what will be will be.

They are probably the same people who leave matches with 10 minutes to go, and miss the equalizer/ winner

"My opinions", are just that, "My opinions"They are based on what, or what has not happened, during the close season, and while it may have escaped your notice, that whilst we have been offloading and weakening our playing squad, our rivals have been stengthening theirs, I have never said in any post that our youngsters are"Crap"they are boys learning their trade, and I think that most of us would agree that it is reckless decision to imagine they could do a mans job, based purely on Financial reasons, they are in fact being exposed to risk and injury too early in their career, because of our dire financial position.
However, i consider myself an honest poster, and will gladly confess my assumptions were wrong,i f we set the league on fire, or even improve on last seasons finishing spot.
Respect....Tankie

Tankie, i never said you can not have opinions did i? i merely pointed out that just beacuse i think we will do okay, people call it (you included) illogical. We all want the same, i just don't want to depress myself or give up before a ball has been kicked in anger thats all.

Peace and love PUSB

I always went to a few games a season, but this is the first year I've had a season ticket from the start. Do I regret it? No.
Like it or not, I chose to support Coventry and I will stand by that choice.
I'm not expecting us to win the league, but neither am I expecting us to go down. We've still got the same back line and the midfield hasn't changed much tbf - we've lost Gunnar but he's not a big loss IMO, though we do need a striker.

I like this thread a lot, it's nice to see not everyone here has us nailed on for relegation.
As for the off topic parts, Kuklinski, you really don't come on here to make friends do you...
