Coventry City have completed the signing of young striker Denzel Slager from Dutch Eredivisie side RKC Waalwijk.

The 20-year-old agreed terms on an 18-month deal on Friday (January 3rd) although his move could not be completed until it was ratified by the FA and the Football League which has now been completed.


The completion of the deal means Slager is also eligible for the Sky Blues' FA Cup third round tie away to Barnsley at Oakwell this afternoon.

I think it's because its been a long time since we've signed a player properly, as in an actual transfer not a free if you know what I mean? But if he does well today, why not partner Leon til Wilson is fit again?
