Usskyblue-Sisu started the divide by moving the club to Northampton.

If some fella wanted to abuse a fan at the game yesterday then thats his problem, the bloke should of told him to fuck off.

I don't agree with people going to sixfields and I never will, however, we sat next to a chap and his son who go to sixfields on the train home and had a decent conversation(id had a few so i assume it was decent), I told him that i don't agree with it and he told me why he goes, I understand why he does.

He's on this forum but he wouldn't tell me his username :O

I wonder if it was torchy!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't think you've quite mastered this reply with quotes thing Jan.

It might have been me yesterday.

Except that I don't smoke and I didn't go.

mark82..So you think 4 blokes having a go at an old man is acceptable? What the argument was about is irrelevant...............................................................................It most definately is NOT acceptable. I think the post by ASB..Is only pointing out the abuse given from BOTH sides in this affair. So you may have mis-read his post mate.

Ah the old tale that both sides are too blame. Wrong - this is clearly some idiot abusing someone for supporting his club. The irony it happened while both were watching the same club. It's pathetic. What's even sadder is the likes of CCFC Michael - a nice, well meaning guy, taking the stance of I didn't see it, it didn't happen instead of outright condemning it.

Now I know why I don't post here very often its a waste of time

It's not reflective of true fans - its sadly been infected by idiots who are more concerned about a lump of concrete than the club. This particular thread is embarrasing even by SBT standards I have to agree.

I have a new found respect for you.

I don't think anyone really thinks their opinion is 'right'...we are are all making decisions based on how we feel as individuals. You said it right though. It's all about respect...something that does get lost when we play the 'Internet forum game.'

...and this is way beyond a game now.

Lose some shouty tossers that can't handle themselves after a couple of cans and I think we have a chance...

Do that and we'll have no fans left.

Likewise.

You'll always get the odd arsehole at an away game, there was a chap a couple of rows down from us pissed out of his face stumbling about shouting etc. Im surprised he was let in the ground.

Im glad i had the conversation with the sixfields chap yesterday,it made me realise that he's just a normal chap who wants to go to see his team with his young son.

I looked at his lad sitting there with his city shirt on and i was thinking that all this kid wants to do is see his team play with his dad, his enthusiasm shone through along with his excitement of the whole day out.

This whole situation is Rediculous and needs ending asap.

@ Grenduffy.....Read what I SAID numbnuts..."It most definately is NOT acceptable." I also said he was"Pointing out the abuse that is given by BOTH SIDES in this affair. If you think differently, that's up to you! Finally what has CCFC Michaels' comment got to do with either mine, or ABS' post.......Oh I get it now....Something to back up your own stance for attacking me...yet again!

Nick, I was at Preston and didn't see/hear any problem. There seem to be lots of opinions on here but very few facts! Did whoever told you about this say who was involved, how it started etc? I know from what happened at the Brentford game that the 'excitement' that any mention of conflict between fans seems to cause led to something smaller than a molehill becoming Everest and the truth of what happened soon went out of the window. Is the same happening here?

Good post Michael
Seems like a little mole hill with no mole to get it bigger.

No, we are not more concerned about a lump of concrete than the club, we are however extremely concerned about the location of said lump of concrete.

I always answer questions - you just don't like the truth.

What question would you like me to answer?

I worked in the coal industry and lived through all this, with the scabs etc.

I saw families literally torn apart, i.e. there was one family where the dad and 3 sons all worked together. The strike happened. 3 (the dad and 2 sons, striked), the 3rd son worked. Then after a few months one of the other sons returned to work, saying he couldn't survive without wages and his children were hungry.

That family was torn apart and 10 years later, 10 years after the strike, fathers and sons and brothers were still not even on speaking terms with each other.

Now obviously the City thing is on a much lesser scale, but it does have a similar feel about it. Now I won't condone this sort of abuse stuff on any level, but it was bound sure to happen and it has.

This is human nature. We can moan about it all we want, but it was going to happen. People are passionate about football and about their team and they can see the club being torn apart.

As I say, I will not condone any abuse, but this situation has been created by the governing bodies here, the owners, the landlord and the council.

It was an accident waiting to happen. All we are left with now are fans divided, squabbling and lots of anger.

Well done all parties that contributed to this nightmare scenario. Having the thought of 5 years away and the owners forever being vague and moving the goalposts about where and when for the new stadium doesn't help one jot.

Trust me, it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

The owners in particular have an awful lot to answer for here.
Some excellent points....

Football support by its very nature is very tribalistic. We have a scenario at our club at the moment of a split, not an even split as some would like to paint, more 90/10-80/20. The Minors strike as the above post points out was about putting food on the table, actual human sustanance. This isn't. Is it really too much to ask therefore, for a blanket boycott of Sixfields? Would'nt kill anyone, understand the point of view that some attendees are initiating their kids into the SBA. This can still be done at an away match, which after all, is what Sixfields is.

I'm born and raised in Coventry. It imbues me with an enormous sense of civic pride which in turn fuels a ferocious passion for CCFC. I'm staunchly NOPM. I don't think the lack of funding NOPM brings will force Sisu out, more the adverse publicity zero home attendance would play in shining the spotlight on the real enemies in this situation, namely Sisu and the football league. I've said time and time again this is a war of attrition, I believe a total Northants boycott will bring it to a head quicker.

That is all.

Maybe you can stop shouting scab and sisu rent boy at everyone who doesn't agree with you in the future then?

One more thing valiant, that guy could have been me as my five year old goes with me fully kitted up and loves it.His hero is John Fleck!! Next "home" game he is a mascot and you wouldn't believe how excited he is . That's what it is all about for me, not sisu, acl, etc but purely the football, which we both love with a passion.

I agree. this is just going to drag on and on. I honestly believe that if there was a self-imposed blanket ban in place by the fans then something would get sorted sharpish, most likely a rental agreement at the Ricoh.

Im not sure if it was,the lad was around the age of 10ish and he had the new city home shirt on. we were on the 18.17 train out of preston.

I understand the passion thing, thats why I put about the lad being excited about his day out at the footy with his dad,im sure he gets just as excited about going to the home games with his dad. I suppose it kind of hit home yesterday. We're all innocent victims in this mess.

Im sick to the back teeth of all this crap now.

It cuts both ways though doesn't it.Ive seen posts on here abusing us stayaways.

I tend not to use the scab and sisu rentboy names to much now.

Its all been done to death.

Threads like this show how frustrated and fractious everybody is feeling. The real worry for me is that generally as time passes we seem to be moving further away from, rather than closer to, any sort of reconciliation and there seems to be no real appetite on any side for working towards a common sense solution. I am really struggling to come up with any feasible happy endings to this unbearable bag of wank.

I'm sorry but the blame solely lies with the dickheads giving him sh*t for going to Sixfields. They're supposed to be grown men for f***s sake!

Loving Burbage's conspiracy theory as well, just a couple sentences short of claiming Tim Fisher is a reptillian humanoid thats part of the Babylonian Brotherhood.

You mean he isn't ?

That would be superb mate, I've just got the usual suspects on board for this one with the temptation of a few decent pints of ale in the Stratford Haven amongst a few targets.

I'm sorry but it is this sort of shit that divide the fans.

I stand on the hill every week and there are 2 London supporters there, I have never even heard them raise their voices as for giving abuse to fans going into sixfields there has been only one occasion and that was instigated by the supporter coming out the ground.

But as usual it is always the fault of the ones not going in to sixfields..

By the way I am a bald fattie and in my 50's but do not abuse anyone!! but will not take shit ether.

This situation annoys me, I met a bloke from CCLSC on the way to Crawley but after we exchanged details I saw on the TV the same bloke giving fans abuse going into Sixfields, I didn't end up joining as I thought it was disgusting.
