At the start of the season he was incredible and reminded me of Steven Gerrard when he was a kid - in stature and style of play.

He had energy, vision, verve, could play a pass, beat a man, tackle, and popped up at the right time to score three goals.

He's not been as good since he got injured around October but give him a chance.

Are you on crack, comparing Daniels to Gerrard. He was a striker in the academy and was converted to midfield by none other than Andy Thorn. He's not quick enough, he's not a great passer and he's got minimal flair or the ability to beat a man. A squad player at best imo, as for Thomas he's had a good season but in a midfield two he doesn't offer anywhere near enough going forward. He rarely passes the ball forward and never shoots or creates chances, whereas Flecky does all that and can tackle. He would be better suited to playing in a defensive two in a 4-2-3-1

Should I assume you missed the part where I said:

'At the start of the season he was incredible and reminded me of Steven Gerrard when he was a kid - in stature and style of play.'
and
'He's not been as good since he got injured around October but give him a chance.'?

RE your post:
'He was a striker in the academy and was converted to midfield by none other than Andy Thorn'
Not relevant.

'He's not quick enough, he's not a great passer and he's got minimal flair or the ability to beat a man'
At the start of the season he provided evidence in three or four games to dispute all of these points. I remember a Lamptey Show podcast where they too were also raving about him. I haven't seen enough of him recently but don't write him off.

To be fair none of them go out to play poorly sometimes the harder you try the worse it gets.
Never really played football but played Rugger for 20 odd years and I know how sometimes nothing you do goes right.
But hey that is sport if it was so predictable and perfect we wouldn't watch.

wouldnt say he is bad, just not sure how he fits in SP formation. not a winger and we have better centre mids and strikers.

Like the rest of the team. He probably isn't that bad but at 19 and chucked in against older better professionals. He is going to struggle as proved with many of the kids. They are being found out now. Not blaming them as look at the dire situation we are in but bad results and relegation is inevitable.

Did anyone see Thomas today billy did more than Thomas did by far,Thomas didn't win a single thing, refused to shoot when he should have, and continually gave the ball away by making a crap pass to no one or getting caught on the ball,he was the worst player on the pitch by far, how he was not subbed off I do not know, but if anyone is looking for something to moan about for this game it is how badly Thomas played !!!!!!!!!

Brings no pleasure to say this but the above could have been written about Thomas's performance last night, as well. Was aimlessly wandering around the middle, and when he did put himself in a position for a tackle, he usually lost out. Time for a rest: I'd rather have Barton playing there.
