freakshow on the hill last night (3 Viewers)

Sisu are the owner, 'steward' of the club's well-being and have the vast majority of 'blame and shame' for their business failure. The move to Northants is what most fans despise though, and I'm afraid going there just gives it legitimacy and support (conscious or not) to Sisu's action.

[but I have the feeling this might have been discussed before...]

Thank you for your concern steveo but ther were no issue's with the circus folk at all.

i went for the 1st time to the hill last night, i arrived about half way through the 1st half as i had things to do 1st. I was quite shocked as i could hear the crowd singing come on "city, come on city". i thought to myself its not true that the sixfielders are silent witnesses, then i became aware that it was the bradford fans and i didn't hear anything from coventry at all, other than on the hill.

if we're in existance and still there next season i will make a return visit, unfortuantly i'm otherwise engaged for the remainder of the "home" fixtures otherwise i would pop back again this season.

i would however encourage anyone who has thought about going to the hill to go, if only to satisfy your curiosity. a word off warning, just stay away from the 2 bald neanderthal's, they'll lead you astray ;)

Piss taking aside, I admire the protesters. I protest in my own way but have a balanced opinion of where blame lies, including previous owners. I attend and will attend sixfields for as long as we are there.

Its a funny old place this forum.....

no matter how many times its spelled out to some people...I guess they are just too dumb to get it....

Its quite simple....no city fan has anything to be ashamed of....whether they stand on the hill, pay to go in to sixfields, pay to go to the glory game at arsenal, go away games only, sit on their arse & do nothing, or just come on here & take the piss.....

The only folks to be ashamed are the suits at SISU, ACL & CCC for fucking our club over....

can i include those that accidently forgot on Monday that yesterdays game was on ?

But what will definitely get us back there is John telling people they should be ashamed of themselves. Sure fire game changer that one.

Fair play to them yeah. But standing on a hill isn't going to get us back to the Ricoh. Nothing will happen until the judical review.

You really should change the colours of your avatar to the way you see the world. Black and white.

No. I just try to encourage people to look at the big picture and the real balance of responsibilities. Sisu are the owner, responsible for the CCFC business (it is in dire shape); ACL supplied a service (the Ricoh+services) agreed by Sisu in a contract. That contract represented about 10 - 12% of Sisu turnover when they came in. Sisu lost over 50% of revenue pre Sixfields in 5 years, 75% now, sold most assets while debts mount- with no strategy.

In business there are a number of stakeholders but only one responsible steward of the business and that is the owner.

Ah, it's all about "the big picture", is it? So, to "encourage" that you slag off fellow fans and tell them they are wrong? I agree with you though on something though, the responsibility is down to the owners. Not the fans, as you like to make out.

No the big picture is Sisu hold responsibility for our mess, and they have taken us to Sixfields as part of their game to get the Ricoh on the cheap to help bail them out. 'Holding us to hostage' against everyone's wishes. People going to Sixfields give them tacit support or at least succour in this 'game' as well as funding them.

...and I seem to remember you being strongly against people going to Sixfields.

Nope its definitely a new and interesting take on this wonderful debate that we, as a forum, really haven't explored enough.

So who is ashamed?

Also why is it with protest banners they always look like they have run out of space and the writing changes size?

Out if interest is your bilge just at sisu or would you also say the same applied to Joe Elliot. By definition you must also believe Elliot and co were equally as vindictive and stupid as the rent was less than 12% of total expenditure.

You wouldn't have heard anything though would you? The Bradford fans were probably about the same as the city fans, only really got excited if they won a corner or during some good play. Equally both as quiet to be fair, nothing really to get excited about for either team apart from their chances in the first half.

I don't think that anybody in the ground has an issue with people on the hill and vice versa to be honest, it is more than likely people who do neither stirring it up.

My favourite was the group of lads who just managed to sing every players name in the same way.

I could definitely clearly hear the Bradford fans, although to be fair when you stand on the hill the away fans are facing you, all be it from the other end of the ground. I stood on the right of the hill as you look at the ground so the "home" fans are hidden around the corner so I guess from where I was standing you were always going to be quiter. I could hear you at times though, most notably when one of the substitutions was happening there was booing. I think it was when Marshall was going off, what was that all about. Just to be clear I'm not saying it was aimed at any cov player, just couldn't understand why it was happening.

I agree with your opinion that nobody in the ground had an issue with those on the hill and vice versa. I think both section of fans were just there for the game. Just the ones on the hill see giving sisu money for the "privilege" of travelling 35miles to "home" games as giving them the OK to do it. That's how I see it anyway.

Marshall got an ovation when he came off and hobbled down the tunnel? I suggest your ears might be bullshitting you.

Read his post he said I think.
And yes it did happen twice the first was when we had our first shot and it went wildly wide, don't know who it was as really don't watch the game and it is a bit far to make out most of the players and the other was from a substitution.

I can't remember boos when he came off, unless it was a different time ;)

Well he was wrong. Marshall was clapped and cheered as he was head and shoulders above anyone else in Sky Blue.

I understand people aren't happy but can't fathom why they lie and make stuff up.

There was sarcastic cheering when we had our first shot?

There wer boos , I think it was when we didn't get a decision, lots of jeers with a random non forward pass.

I certainly didn't lie. There was booing and it was when a substitution was happening. I said I think it was when the Marshall substitution happened but as the word "think" implies, I may have that wrong. I also made a point of saying that in no way was I suggesting that it was the player that was being booed. I was asking the question what was it all about. Was it an official that was booed? Maybe an opposition player? I don't know. That's why I was asking.

From what I remember it was more than likely an official or if we were on a break and it ended up back with Murphy
